routine walkthrough

Welcome to the fifth part of our walkthrough for Routine.

You’ve made it past the Ward and upgraded your Security Level. Now you have arrived at the hauntingly beautiful Lunar Surface. But you can’t enjoy the view for long as you must set your sights towards your next goal: upgrading your Security Level to access The Canal.

Note
This is part of our Routine Walkthrough Hub, so we suggest starting there if you haven’t already.

Reaching the Main Wing

Once the air lock lifts, walk outside. Take a moment to enjoy the stunning view of the Lunar landscape.

When you’re ready, follow the path markers on the ground. You’ll spot another bunker that you can enter.

Head toward it and use the terminal to Initialize Airlock Sequence. Use the Interface Module on the screen above the terminal to complete the process.

Once the door opens, continue forward to enter the lift. Go down.

This will take you to a large empty Lobby. There’s a Wireless Access Point on the right wall. Use it to save your progress.

You’ll spot two doors in here. One leads to the Main Control Lab, the other to the Main Wing. Enter the Main Control Lab first.

Wait a few seconds. The light will go out. After a while, you’ll see a text pop up on the screen ahead of you. You need to find the EL9 Disinfectant to proceed.

When you’re ready, enter the Main Wing.

Accessing Maria’s Terminal

The Main Wing door leads to a room with a body on the ground with vines coming out of it, similar to the one you found near Kali’s Locker. Take the path on the right.

Use the Interface Module to open the security door. This is Laboratory 01.

Check the terminals for some Email and Diary entries. There’s a Tape Recorder on the table on the right that you can listen to. Crawl through the hatch at the far end of the room when you’re ready to move on.

Follow the vent till you reach the Overflow. You’ll see a basin flooded with water. There’s a ladder here, but you need to drain the water before you can head down. Remember this location for later.

There’s a terminal in this area that shows that both the Overflow and the Cistern are at 100% Capacity.

You’ll also find a Wireless Access Point here. Save your game and take a quick look at your Tasks in the P.D.A. You should have two main objectives.

Head through the hatch past the Wireless Access Point to enter the Cafeteria. Take a moment to explore the area, but don’t go inside the central dining area. You’ll spot Maria’s Terminal in a small alcove (marked in the image above). But you need an Access Code to use it.

There’s also an Access Override Terminal at the back of the area, down a narrow passage.

From the terminal, if you turn right, you’ll spot a closed shutter. We’ll return here later.

Enter the central dining area when you’re ready, and head toward the table with the batteries on it. You’ll find an ID Card leaned against the turquoise toolbox.

Be ready for a jumpscare. The Entity A will make a quick appearance. Once it goes away, pick up the ID card and note down the number.

Run to Maria’s Terminal and enter the code. Then use the .EXE application.

This will open a door. Head through it. Be careful of Entity A, as it will start roaming the area at this point.

Compiling the EL9 Disinfectant

You’ll reach an area branching off into different paths. Head down the corridor that leads to Solace.

Run to the left end of the room when you enter to spot a hatch on the ground. Crawl into the vent.

Follow the path till you reach another laboratory. This is the Disinfectant Lab. There’s a Wireless Access Point here that you can use to save your progress. This is a safe zone.

Check the terminal on the central pillar of the room. You’ll spot a terminal where you can compile the EL9 Disinfectant. All you need to do is choose the correct chemicals for the formula.

You’ll find several notes in the room that hint at which chemicals to use for the disinfectant. Take a moment to read through them. When you’re ready, use the following chemicals:

  • Base: Isopropyl Alcohol
  • Active 01: Copper Ion
  • Active 02: Hydrogen Peroxide
  • Stabilizer: EDTA
