Welcome to part 2 of our walkthrough for Shinobi: Art of Vengeance. This walkthrough will cover the second area, Lantern Festival, along with all the collectibles you need to find to achieve 100% completion.

Some collectibles require Ningi abilities that you’ll unlock later on. You can return to these locations from the world map once you have them.

The Lake
After the intro cutscene and dialogues, start heading right.
Jump across the red platforms to encounter your first enemy.
These enemies throw axes while you’re in midair, so be careful when jumping. Defeat the enemy and continue moving.
You’ll face a few more of these axe-throwing enemies as you make your way across the lake.
When you land on solid ground, you’ll be ambushed from both sides. Defeat the enemies and keep going forward.
Up ahead, you’ll have to cross more platforms. Some of them will sink if you stand on them too long, so keep moving quickly.
On the far side of the lake, you’ll find a chest and the Shopkeeper waiting.
Loot the chest to get the Piercing Kunai Amulet.
Continue forward, dealing with enemies and sinking platforms, until you reach the Island Shrine.
The Island
As soon as you touch the Shrine, you’ll see three enemies nearby. Defeat them before moving on.
Keep heading right and jump across more sinking platforms.
You’ll eventually land in another ambush. This time you’ll need to keep moving between the platforms as they sink while fighting enemies.
After defeating the mob, continue to the right, past a yellow-robed ninja, and you’ll find another Shrine.
Boat
Continue past the Shrine and you’ll see a boat on the lake. Jump on it and hit the switch to set it in motion.
As the boat moves, you’ll be attacked by a couple of enemies. Defeat them as you move along the lake.
The boat will eventually stop at the gates of a village.
Oboro Relic #1
Before going through the gates on the right, jump up to the roof. There’s a chest hiding behind the trees that contains the first Oboro Relic for this location.
Drop back down from the roof and continue right to reach the next Shrine.
The Village
As you enter the village, you’ll activate the Shrine for the area. Continue heading right.
You’ll encounter a few enemies along the way.
Eventually, you’ll see a path leading upward, but the gate here is locked.
Keep moving right until you’re ambushed by a group of enemies. Among them is a new enemy type that carries a shield. They can get pretty annoying, but you’ll soon find the perfect counter for them. For now, try to hit them from behind and they should go down without any trouble.
After defeating the enemies, you’ll find a switch further to the right. Activate it to unlock the earlier gate.
Return to the locked gate and start making your way upward.
On the upper level, you’ll run into another locked gate.
Head left first and you’ll spot a yellow box with a large chest behind it on an upper platform.
Parkour your way to the other side of the yellow box, then push it down to create a shortcut. Loot the chest for some Gold.
Return to the locked gate and head right.
You’ll spot a dash point up ahead. Use it to dash to a platform on the edge of the screen.
Climb up and activate the switch to unlock the gate. Push the box down to create another shortcut, then continue upward through the now-open gate to activate the next Shrine.
Tower
After activating the Shrine, head up to the upper level and take down the enemies.
Oboro Relic #2
From the platform where the axe-throwing enemy was standing, wall-jump up the right-side wall to reach a hidden chest. This contains the second Oboro Relic for the location.
Continue upward to find another locked gate.
Oboro Relic #3
Jump the gap and cross over to the left side. You’ll find a dash point up ahead.
Parkour across to the end where you’ll be ambushed by another group of enemies.
Defeat them, and a chest will spawn. Loot it to find the third Oboro Relic.
Return to the locked gate and head right. Wall-jump and dash through the next section.
You’ll reach another switch hidden behind a pushable box. Activate it to unlock the gate, push the box down, and continue up through the open path.
Another pair of enemies will be waiting for you. Defeat them, then climb up and head left.
Jump across the floating platforms and go into the room on the right.
Break the chest open to collect the Ningi ability, Cannon Punch. Defeat the enemies that spawn in the room and the gate on the right will unlock.
Go through the gate and use Cannon Punch to break through the Yokai Barriers. Continue forward till you see a zipline.
Oboro Relic #4
Before riding the zipline down, jump up to the platform above and run to the end to find a chest. This gives you the fourth Oboro Relic.
Take the zipline down to the next section.
Rooftops
Activate the Rooftops Shrine and get your upgrades from the Shopkeeper up ahead.
Elite Squads #1
Drop down to the floating balloon platform right below the Shrine. You’ll find the first Elite Squads encounter for the zone here.
From the Shrine, go right, jumping across the floating balloons.
Slide down the edge of the roof in the next building and jump into the dash point near the bottom.
Secret Chest #1 (Fire Raider Outfit)
After using the dash point and dropping down, go left. You’ll find the first Secret Chest on a platform here containing the Fire Raider outfit.
Return to where you dropped and take the second dash point to reach a floating platform. Use another dash point to get to another rooftop.
Elite Squads #2 (Ninja Claws Preferred)
While the second Elite Squads for this level is meant to be accessed after you unlock the Ninja Claws, it’s not mandatory. Slide down the roof and stick to the wall as you fall.
Dash to the right just as you’re about to fall to touch the dash point and reach the platform on the other side. Take down the drone to make the next step easier.
Use double jump and dash to reach the platform on the left.
Wall run up the left wall, then jump and dash towards the enemy on the right.
Next, use double jump and dash to the left wall and wall run up. Quickly jump off the wall to reach the upper platform.
You’ll see the symbol for the Elite Squads encounter up ahead. Defeat all enemies to complete the encounter.
Head to the right using the hook and the dash point.
You’ll run into another ambush. Defeat the enemies and keep heading right to reach the next Shrine.
Buildings
From the Buildings Shrine, go right. Slide down the building and jump to the ledge on the right.
Go up and you’ll find a Yokai Barrier. Break through using Cannon Punch.
You can see an enemy above you, but there’s a locked gate blocking your path.
Drop down to the pink balloon platform. It’ll start to fall. Use the dash point to reach the platform on the right.
Break the Yokai Barrier.
Use the dash points to make your way to the upper level. Activate the switch to unlock the gate, push the box away, and make your way up through the building.
Defeat the enemy and get to the upper floor.
Use Cannon Punch to break the barrier, and wall jump to reach the roof of the building.
Defeat the enemies and continue heading right.
Slide down the roof and jump across two pink balloon platforms to enter another building.
You can see a pink balloon platform up ahead, and some enemies on the lower level.
Ankou Rift (Requires Ninja Hook and Sword Dive)
Head right, past the pink balloon platform, and run up the right-side wall. You’ll notice a grappling point.
Use Ninja Hook to make your way to the top to find the Grim Reaper waiting for you.
To complete the Ankou Rift, you also need the Sword Dive Ningi. It’s a parkour chase challenge where you must reach the end before the flame engulfs you. Completing the challenge rewards you with a Dark Katana Fragment.
Step on the pink balloon platform to descend to the lower level. Keep heading down while defeating the enemies.
You’ll notice a locked gate on the right side of the lower levels.
The switch for it can be found on the left side. Activate it and use the zipline past the gate to reach the next section.
Fireworks
You’ll find the Fireworks Shrine at the end of the zipline. There will be an enemy firing arrows at you from the other side of the area.
Continue moving right until you reach a dash point and jump through it.
Oboro Relic #5
From this building, slide down along the right side to reach a platform. There’s another platform below with a shield enemy.
Defeat the enemy and loot the chest to collect the final Oboro Relic for the zone.
Climb back up and jump to the platform with the three archers.
Defeat the enemies and jump to the next roof.
You’ll then be ambushed by another group of enemies.
After the encounter, continue through a parkour segment, jumping across balloon platforms, hooks, and dash points.
You’ll eventually reach a zipline that will take you to the next section.
The Festival
You’ll find the Shopkeeper at the end of the zipline. Get your necessary upgrades and continue heading right.
You’ll face a few enemies along the way, but this section is pretty straightforward.
Eventually, a cutscene will play, after which a chase sequence will trigger. Keep running to the right before the flame catches up to you. You’ll eventually reach the next Shrine.
Arena
From the Shrine, head to the next section on the right.
After a cutscene, you’ll face your second major boss, the Arachno Tank.
The boss isn’t too difficult and only relies on a few basic attacks that it repeats. However, you’ll need to break its Yokai Shield with Cannon Punch before you can start dealing damage.
Once defeated, you’ll obtain the Thunder Ninpo and the stage will clear.
Secret Cave (Requires Sword Dive)
From the Island Shrine, break through the Yokai Barrier on the ground to reach the Secret Cave Shrine.
This zone is an elaborate and extremely frustrating parkour section. But since there are two collectibles here, you’ll need to complete it if you’re aiming for 100% completion.
Elite Squads #3 (Requires Ninja Claws)
The first of the two collectibles here is an Elite Squads encounter. You’ll find it after completing the first parkour segment.
If you manage to complete all Elite Squads encounters in the zone, you’ll receive the Super Shocker Amulet.
Secret Chest #2 (Requires Ninja Claws)
After completing the Elite Squads challenge, continue along the path to the right. You’ll reach another parkour segment involving rotating flames and climbable walls.
Once you reach the end, open the secret chest to get a Max Health Boost upgrade.
Continue heading right after the Secret Chest to spot some explosives. Attack them and then run up the wall to reach The Village.
