Welcome to part 3 of our walkthrough for Shinobi: Art of Vengeance. This walkthrough will cover the third stage, The Mountains, along with all the collectibles you need to find to achieve 100% completion.

Some collectibles require Ningi abilities that you’ll unlock later on. You can return to these locations from the world map once you have them.
Table of contents
Mountainside
After the opening cutscene, climb up the wall on the right. On the ledge above, you’ll find a large chest containing some Gold.
Head right after looting the chest. You’ll spot another chest next to the Shopkeeper.
Break it open to get the Power Booster Amulet, then grab any upgrades you need from the Shopkeeper before continuing forward.
You’ll run into a bunch of drones and gun-wielding enemies along the path. Defeat them as you move right.
At the far-right edge of the map, run up the wall and use the platforms and hooks to ascend. Keep climbing and you’ll eventually reach another Shrine.
Waterfalls
Continue moving forward after activating the Waterfalls Shrine.
Elite Squads #1
You’ll spot the first Elite Squads encounter for the zone just a few steps from the Shrine. Activate it and defeat all the enemies to complete the challenge.
At the right edge of the platform, you’ll notice two golden rings below you.
Use them to drop down and head left to find a large chest. This contains more Gold that you can put toward upgrades.
Return to the upper platform, jump over the gap, and continue heading right.
Start climbing up from the other side, taking out enemies as you go.
Keep ascending toward the top of the structure.
Eventually, you’ll reach an area with a pushable box on your left.
Continue climbing, and you’ll get ambushed by a group of enemies here.
Oboro Relic #1
After defeating the enemies, go left and jump to the top of the building.
Take out a few more enemies, then drop down to the ledge on the left.
Use the rings to hang below the ledge and move right through the passage.
Inside, you’ll find a chest containing your first Oboro Relic. Push the box in front of you to clear the way and climb back up to the ambush area.
Keep heading right, from the area you got ambushed earlier, and use the platforms to jump across. You’ll reach a locked gate guarded by an enemy. Defeat him and continue climbing.
There are more platforms above, along with plenty of enemies to deal with while you keep going up. Near the top, you’ll find a switch. Activate it to unlock the gate from earlier.
Head through the unlocked gate below to enter the next section.
Secret Factory
After entering the Secret Factory, keep heading right until you reach a locked gate. Jump up into the vents above and continue moving forward.
Eventually, you’ll drop down into a large room. The Shrine for the area will automatically activate once you land at the bottom.
Go left from the Shrine and you’ll be ambushed. Defeat the enemies and a chest will appear. This chest contains the Wind Slash Ninpo.
Keep moving left and drop down into the vent ahead.
This vent has lasers inside. Wait for them to power down before you move. Progress through the vents until you reach the other side.
You’ll come out near another locked gate to your right. For now, go left, defeat the enemies, and continue forward.
Run up the wall on the left to enter another vent.
This leads to a large room with four explosive barrels and a switch in the middle.
Activating the switch shuts off the lava in the left section of the area, but also triggers another ambush. Defeat the enemies to proceed. Once the room is clear, head down the opening on the left to reach the next Shrine.
Foundry
Go right from the Foundry Shrine and jump onto the moving platform.
You’ll see a switch on the ceiling. Hit it to turn off the lava pipe on the right.
Continue heading right using the moving platforms, being careful not to fall into the lava. Take out the drone enemies as you go.
Soon, you’ll reach an area where the path ahead is blocked by a lava waterfall.
Step onto the yellow elevator and it’ll carry you down.
Go down another level and land on the platform below.
As you move forward, a Stomper Bot mini-boss will drop onto the platform. Defeat it and continue right.
You’ll find a chest on a platform in front of a dragon statue. Loot it to get the Ninja Claws Ningi. This new traversal ability lets you cling to and climb yellow walls.
Use the Ninja Claws to climb the wall on the right and reach the other side of the lava waterfall.
At the top, activate the switch to turn off the lava. If you keep going right, you’ll find the Shopkeeper, but the gate past him is locked.
Elite Squads #2
Return to the Foundry Shrine and this time take the left path, jumping across the moving platforms. You’ll come across a locked gate, but there’s a climbable wall nearby.
Climb the wall and move forward into another vent.
Go through it and come out the other side to find a switch. Activate it to open a locked gate on the left side of the room.
Head through the left gate and ride the elevator down.
At the bottom, you’ll find the Elite Squads encounter symbol. Activate it, defeat all the enemies, and the locked gate on the right will open.
Go through the unlocked gate after the challenge and flip the switch inside. This will create a shortcut that takes you back to the Foundry Shrine.
Head back to the area where you picked up the Ninja Claws and start moving left. You’ll notice a climbable wall on the left side of the middle floor.
Use it to get around to the other side and you’ll find a switch. Activate it to shut off the lava flowing through the pipes in the left section.
Jump across to the left side using the moving platforms. Slide down to encounter a group of enemies.
After defeating them, continue climbing up the walls while avoiding the spikes.
Keep moving forward past the spike traps until you reach the next Shrine.
Junkyard
Keep heading right from the Junkyard Shrine.
This zone is essentially one big obstacle course where you’ll need to navigate past falling pillars while also dealing with a couple of enemy encounters along the way.
Oboro Relic #2
After the first enemy encounter, drop down into the vent.
As soon as you reach the bottom, a series of spikes will start chasing you from the left.
Run to the right and quickly jump up into the vent above.
Once the spikes pass by, drop back down and head left. You’ll find a chest containing the Oboro Relic.
After picking up the Oboro Relic, continue heading right and go up the vent. Continue pushing forward through the enemies and obstacles until you reach a massive chamber.
Drop down to the bottom to trigger a mini-boss encounter against another Stomper Bot.
Secret Chest #1 – Wind Sculptor Amulet (Requires Ninja Hooks)
After defeating the mini-boss, climb the wall and continue along the upper path until you find a grapple point.
Parkour your way across this section and you’ll eventually find a Secret Chest
This gives you the Wind Sculptor Amulet. Hit the switch next to the chest to unlock a shortcut back to the Shopkeeper in the Foundry.
From the boss arena, head right on the lower level through the vents. Avoid the lasers and keep moving forward to eventually drop down to the next Shrine
Elevator
From the Shrine, head right and you’ll reach an elevator.
The elevator starts moving as soon as you step on it.
As it rises, you’ll need to keep running ahead, clearing enemies and navigating hazards before the elevator catches up.
About halfway through, you’ll come across a second elevator. Step on it to activate it, then once again move ahead to deal with enemies and traps in its path.
Ride the elevator all the way to the top to reach the next Shrine.
System
From the Shrine, use the climbable wall to reach the upper floor.
You’ll face both of the Stomper Bots from earlier here in a 2-on-1 battle. They aren’t too difficult as long as you break their shields quickly.
After defeating the duo boss, climb up the left wall and continue through the passage. You’ll eventually reach a switch that opens a locked gate on the upper level.
Step on the elevator after the switch and ride it to the top. The locked gate on the north side will now be open.
Oboro Relic #3
After reaching the top of the elevator, go left. Double jump and dash to reach the platform on the left.
Defeat the enemies and keep heading left until you find a chest containing the next Oboro Relic.
Secret Chest #2 – Ninpo Expert Amulet (Requires Sword Dive)
Return to the elevator and step on it. Once it starts going up, drop down the open shaft.
Get past the lasers in the vent and drop into the chamber on the other side. Activate the switch to open the gate on the left, unlocking a shortcut to an earlier Shrine.
Go right and you’ll see a Yokai Barrier on the floor. Use Sword Dive to break through to the next section.
You’ll land on a moving platform below. Activate the switches around the room while avoiding the lasers.
Once all switches are active, a door on the left side of the room will open. Go through it to find a Secret Chest containing the Ninpo Expert Amulet. Activate the switch on the left to unlock the door.
Return to the elevator and ride it to the top. Go right and a cutscene will play.
Continue forward afterward, defeating enemies along the way.
You’ll eventually reach outside the building.
The Canyon
From the Canyon Shrine, continue heading left and a cutscene will play. You’ll get surrounded by enemies who blow up the ground beneath you, causing you to fall.
Jump across the falling platforms while defeating the enemies that appear. Once the sequence ends, you’ll reach the bottom, and activate the next Shrine.
Excavation Site
From the Shrine, start heading right.
You’ll run into the Shopkeeper soon.
Oboro Relic #4
From the Shop, jump to the right to reach a ledge.
Run up the wall on the right to find a climbable wall at the top.
Follow this path to the end and you’ll spot a chest containing the next Oboro Relic.
Drop down after looting the chest to return to the Shopkeeper’s location.
Go past the shop and keep making your way down to reach the bottom floor of the area.
Elite Squads #3
From the bottom level, start moving right. At the end of the path, you’ll see climbable walls.
Go up, and at the top, you’ll find the symbol for the final Elite Squads encounter.
Defeat all the enemies here to unlock a Lab Key, if you completed the earlier encounters.
Afterward, drop down from the left ledge of the Elite Squads arena and continue heading left to return to the bottom floor.
Now begin moving left. This section is fairly straightforward so keep moving until you drop into a large room at the end.
Temple
As you drop down, you’ll activate the Temple Shrine.
Head right to face the next major boss of this zone.
Mandara, the main boss of The Mountains, has a large health pool, but his moveset is fairly straightforward and most of his attacks can be avoided.
He will periodically drop platforms that you’ll need to use in order to stay off the electrified floor.
In addition, he has a powerful attack where he fires a massive beam from his mouth.
Dodge these attacks, stay on the safe platforms, and keep striking whenever you get the chance. With some patience and constant hits between his attacks, you’ll eventually take the boss down. The stage clears after this boss battle.
Mountain Peak (Secret Area)
Return to the switch you activated earlier to unlock the gate to the Secret Factory. Now that you have Ninja Claws, use them to climb the wall above the switch.
Continue heading right and you’ll soon reach the Shrine.
This area contains two major collectibles, and both are fairly simple to grab.
Oboro Relic #5
From the Shrine, run straight to the right side of the room and use the climbable wall to reach a ledge on the upper level.
Slide down the ramp and jump to the climbable wall on the left before you fall.
Circle around to the other side from below and you’ll spot another platform on your left with a chest. Open it to collect the final Oboro Relic for this zone.
Ankou Rift (Requires Ninja Hook)
Climb back onto the wall, but this time, keep going upward.
Parkour your way through the area and you’ll eventually come across two grapple points.
At the end of this section, you’ll find the Grim Reaper waiting.
This Rift is another parkour challenge, and completing it rewards you with a Dark Katana Fragment.
