Silent Hill f features a pretty interesting story of Shimizu Hinako. The story unfolds in quite a mysterious way, so you probably don’t understand what’s going on right now, and I don’t blame you. The game consists of 13 chapters in total, and if you wish to learn more about it, check out its official page on Steam.
The first three chapters completely play with your mind. The next one is no different and is probably the longest one so far. Also, this is going to be way more difficult, so here, I will guide you on how to complete Chapter Four, Dark Shrine Corridors, in Silent Hill f.
Table of contents
Find A Way To The Sacred Door

After Rinko pushes Hinako through the stairs, she finds herself in a different location once again. Your first objective is to find a way to the Sacred Door, so start going ahead. Follow the path to the west and keep going in that direction.
Take a right and then another right to find a door you can’t open without a key. Go to the opposite side of the door, and you will be able to enter the room. On the left side, you will find Messy Scrawls, but in the front, you will notice that there is a narrow space you can go through.

Do so, and on the right, in one of the drawers, you will find Divine Water. After that, get out of the room and keep following the west direction again. Take a right and go straight until you reach a dead end, and then take another right.
Then, follow the left path and enter the room to your west. Go ahead and crawl through the space, and you will find a Storage Key right next to the drawers. After that, go straight, and on your left will be your first save point. Pray to the shrine, and save your progress.

Now, crawl back to the other side, take a left, and enter the room in front of you. Pick up a Yokan from one of the drawers, and right in front of you will be an Ancient Note. Then go around the other side, and it is time to investigate the strange object.
Investigate The Strange Object

Upon investigating, you will figure out that one part is missing, so you will have to search for it now. A lead to the missing part can be found by using the Storage Key and unlocking a door that was locked before.
In order to find the missing part, head out of the room, take a right, and follow the pathway in front. Upon reaching the end of that path, there will be a door on your left. Use the Storage Key to unlock the door and crawl to the other side of the room.

On the left side, you will find a letter with the title “A Warning”, and west of that, you will notice Hinako’s Doll along with an important message. After reading the message, go back until you notice an open door right ahead.
Simply leave the room you unlocked using the Storage Key, and just ahead, you will notice a light (this room was previously locked). Enter, and you will notice a lot of paintings inside.

Make your way to the bottom left side of the room to get the Inari Sculpture, the part you need to complete the object. Turn back and you will notice the paintings have fallen, revealing another message about the Fox Mask.

Now, go back and place the Inari Sculpture right in the middle of the strange object. By doing so, a secret passageway will open. Upon entering, a short cutscene will start, and you will have to fight a new enemy. However, instead of fighting, run forward and grab the Naginata, a weapon that can only be used in Dark Shrine areas.
Escape From Peril

Now that you have the Nagniata, it is time to make good use of it. Equip it and use it to fight the new enemy. The new enemy is pretty fast, and so is your Naginata. Use a heavy attack to stun the enemy and follow up with some light attacks, but make sure you have enough stamina left to dodge any upcoming attack.
With this new weapon, you won’t have trouble defeating the enemy. Do so and get out. Then, head toward the Sacred Door. On your way, on the left side, you may notice the shrine, so pray to it and save your progress.
Investigate The Sacred Door

After investigating the door, follow the path on the right and keep going until you encounter an enemy. Defeat the monster and then enter the room just ahead on the left. Inside, you will find a Bandage and an Omamori (Hawk); it greatly decreases the charging time of Focus.

Now exit the room and follow the pathway in front. However, do note that an enemy will jump on you from the roof and take a chunk of your health, so be cautious. Defeat it by using one heavy attack followed by a chain of light attacks.
Explore The Rooms

Then go left, and at the very end will be another enemy. Defeat it and enter the library right ahead. Explore the library, pick up some notes, and interact with everything where a pop-up appears. Then, at the end of the path, to your left, will be a narrow space. Go through that to reach the other side. Go straight and grab everything in your way, and exit the room.

Right when you exit the room, an enemy will be waiting for you, so initiate the fight with a charge attack. Then, follow up with the light attacks and defeat it quickly. After that, go the opposite direction, and two more enemies will be waiting for you. Defeat them and keep following the path to the north.
Find Out Where The Voice Is Coming From
There will be another enemy in the room, so make sure to dodge its leap and then defeat it. Now, enter the room from the opposite side and use the narrow space to go to the other side. There you will find a Yokan in one of the drawers, and right next to it will be a shrine, so save your progress.

Exit the room and follow the voice. You will come across a red gate on your left, open it, and go ahead. Pick up the Stone Orb, and a short cutscene will trigger. Now, run back to the Sacred Gate, but this chasing sequence is going to be intense.

Don’t get caught by the monster that screams, as that will stun you for a bit, allowing other enemies to attack you. If Hinako is stunned, you can get out of that animation by using the dodge button. Once you reach the Sacred Gate, a cutscene will commence.
How To Defeat Sakuko

After escaping the nightmare, your next task is to find the Fox Mask. Before opening the gate in front of you, grab all of the items that you can and make sure to equip the Blessed Hand Mirror. Upon taking fatal damage from normal attacks, this mirror will break, and your health, stamina, and sanity will be fully restored.

Then, open the gate in front of you and approach the crying woman. A cutscene will commence, and after that, you will have your proper first boss fight.
This fight isn’t going to be like your normal fights or any fight you have had so far. It will be pretty challenging as each hit you take will remove a chunk of your health, so I will guide you on how to defeat Sakuko.

The boss has some strings and even uses single hits. Sakuko also has a grab attack, and I noticed that every time she goes for that move, she will scream, “Dodge This,” so that is a cue to dodge it. Dodge this attack in the inside direction to have a better chance of attacking her, as she is always vulnerable after performing a grab, of course, only if you are not caught by it.
Second Phase

Upon damaging the boss a bit, a second phase will commence, and Sakuko will start teleporting. Make sure to spot her in time and stop her from charging her attack.
Hitting her twice with light attacks would do the job (hitting her once would be sufficient if your difficulty is set to story). Whenever she is in a state of charging, you will be able to stun her and do a lot of damage. The boss also has a long-range attack, so always be on your guard.
She will throw her weapon at you, which is pretty easy to dodge, but don’t hit her more than once after dodging. That is because when Sakuko pulls her weapon back, it can hit you. Also, keep in mind that if you go a little too far from her, she may start charging her attack, giving you an opportunity to stun her.

Whenever you see her attacking from the right side, immediately dodge backwards twice and maintain your distance, as that is when she is doing her four-string combo. I also noticed that whenever you interrupt Sakuko when she is charging the attack without teleporting, she will follow up with the grab attack.
Defeating The Boss

After a while, she will start teleporting again, and even if you interrupt her attack, she will do the same move. Sakuko will teleport a few times, and if you manage to interrupt her attack every time, the fight will be over at the third turn. If you play with patience and don’t get too aggressive, you won’t have much trouble with this boss.

Also, make sure not to let the boss charge her attack. Another thing to keep in mind is not getting grabbed by her, as grab attacks in this game are brutal and should be avoided at all costs.
Then, a cutscene will commence, and following that, the Silent Hill f Chapter Four, Dark Shrine Corridors, will conclude.
