The endgame of Silent Hill f gets way more complicated than one can expect. I wasn’t this confused when playing Silent Hill 2, so props to Ryukishi07 for writing such a story. The game, while hard to follow it gets interesting with each chapter, constantly leaving you eager to uncover more.
Now that you have cleared Chapter 10, you will be back at the Dark Shrine area. This time, you need to explore the areas, find some items, and solve a complicated puzzle. Like the previous chapters, this one is not going, so here I will provide you a thorough walkthrough on how to complete Silent Hill f, Chapter 11, Dark Shrine Rooms, easily.
In case you want to learn more about the game or interact with its community, head over to its official Steam Page.
Before you start, do note that in this particular area, you won’t be able to use the map. However, the area isn’t that complicated to explore, as the path is pretty straightforward. It may feel a little weird not using your map at all, but bear with it.

Head To The Next Room

After witnessing the murder of her parents, Hinako faints and returns to the Dark Shrine area. Fox Mask calms her down and helps her get back to her feet, and as the cutscene ends, you are tasked with heading to the next room. Simply go straight, and upon crossing the wooden bridge, you will find a shrine on your left.
Pray to it if you want to, then open the door just ahead, and you will be tasked with investigating the area. Head over to the paintings you see in the front and interact with the one on the right to reveal some hints.

Now, you need to find three crests that fit into the empty slots in the mural. There is also a painting to your left; interact with that for further clues. There is another shrine in the room, so if you didn’t interact with the one previously, you can do so now.
After that, to the west will be a wooden door (there is also one at the east, but that can’t be opened right now). Open the sliding door, pick up the Family Physician’s Log from the front, and then open the sliding door to your right. Go around the room, and there will be some enemies.

Defeat them and perform Soul Siphon to charge your Bestial Form. Also, it seems like the enemies have a larger health pool now, so it is better that you don’t fight them altogether, even if you now have a Fox Arm.
How To Find The First Crest – Black Sparrow Crest

After defeating the enemies, you would have charged a bit of the gauge, so go around the room and open the sliding door. and approach the door to your left. Open the door and approach the top left fox statue. A blade will be stuck on its front, so interact with it. Upon interacting, the blade will fall out, and the statue will rotate.

Then, open the door to your left and then open the one to your right to get an Omamori Hound (slightly restores current max sanity after defeating an enemy). Then, enter the next room to grab a Yokan (there will be two enemies, so defeat them). Explore the other rooms to get a Shriveled Abura-age and a Higashi.

Now, enter the room at the top right, defeat the enemies, and unlock the hidden path. Then, exit the room, go right, and open the box to get Black Sparrow Crest (there is also a Housemaid’s Notes in the room to the left).

Now, return to the secret path you unlocked and open the sliding door. Then, enter and exit from the door to your left.
How To Find The Second Crest – White Sparrow Crest

After entering the room, pick up the Housemaid’s Note from the front and then enter the room by opening the sliding door to your right. Pick up the Strict Mother’s Letter placed right beside a pillar and open the sliding door to your right.
Enter only if you want to fill your Bestial Form gauge, as there is no item there except for two Shackled Monsters. Fighting two of these monsters at the same time can get hectic, so decide via your best judgment.

If you decided to fight them, exit the room afterwards and open the door just ahead. However, if you choose not to fight, then open the door to your left. Enter the room, and there will be the Drum Monster just ahead.
Now, if you have the Bestial Form ability already charged, this will be a piece of cake. However, if not, it will be a little challenging, so don’t be overly aggressive with this enemy. It can also control the blade-legged monsters like a puppet, which makes this annoying.
Unlocking The Hidden Paths

Defeating the blade-legged monsters will give you enough charge to activate the Bestial Form. Do so and make quick work of the Drum Monster. Now, before going ahead and obtaining the second crest, in the middle of this room, to the right side is a hidden path. Press L2 to unlock the path and then turn around to discover another hidden path.

Go inside the hidden path and pick up the Antique Comb from the right side. Do note that unless you don’t use your ability to unlock the hidden path(s), you won’t be able to break the seal of the talisman that’s guarding the crest. So, before trying to open the box, make sure to unlock both hidden paths.

Once done, go ahead and pick up the White Sparrow Crest. Then, open the door to the left, and you will be back in the room with paintings.
How To Find The Third Crest – Fox Mask Crest

After entering the room with paintings, the next step is to enter the room in the front. However, before that, you should provide some of the items you obtained as an offering to get Faith and upgrade whatever attribute is necessary. Then, enter the room, and now you can open the door to your right.

After opening the door, enter, grab a Mandate of the Clan note, an Ema, and a Letter with Pressed Flower. After obtaining these items, get out and move to the top right corner of the room. There, you will notice a fox statue that appears to be looking toward the east. Interact with it, and at its right bottom leg, you will find a blade.

To pull out the blade, interact with it, and the statue will rotate, and you will get an Orante Scroll. Now, open the door in the direction the fox statue with glowing blue eyes is facing. However, before that, I recommend interacting with the other statues to get some items.
Defeat The Monsters

Now, enter the room and then follow the pathway to the right to go across the room. Then, to your left, there will be a Birthing Monster and a Shackled Monster. There will be some cacoons in the room, so I will recommend clearing them out first to make the fight easier.
Then defeat the Shackled Monster and focus entirely on the last one. You can also perform Soul Siphon on the enemies you defeated to get a quick charge on the Bestial Form. Going into the Bestial Form will allow you to defeat the Birthing Monster pretty quickly.

After defeating the monsters, head out of the room and interact with the box right in the front. Upon doing so, a cutscene will commence, featuring Fox Mask and Junko. After the cutscene is over, you will get the Fox Mask Crest. Now, exit through the door to your right, and you will be back in the room with paintings.
How To Solve The Mural Puzzle

The Mural Puzzle is pretty complicated, and its solution also depends on which ending you are going for. If it is your first playthrough, then the ending you are going for will be Coming Home to Roost.
To solve the puzzle, insert the Fox Mask Crest in the most the left space. Then, place White Sparrow Crest in the top-most space at the right side. After that, place the Black Sparrow Crest in the hole right where you placed the previous one.

After you have completed the puzzle, the Mural will vanish, and a door will be revealed. Open the door and enter the room. Then, a cutscene will be triggered featuring Fox Mask and Hinako. They will open a gate, but as the game opens, Hinako finds herself back in Ebisugaoka Town, and Silent Hill f, Chapter 11, Dark Shrine Rooms will conclude.
It is worth pointing out that the difficulty doesn’t really matter in the endgame puzzles. Instead, the solutions differ based on the ending you are going for. So, if it is your first playthrough, then by default your solution will be the same as I mentioned above.
Another thing I would like to point out is that my playthrough is based on the hard difficulty. So, it may be possible that fewer enemies appear for you if you are playing on the story difficulty. However, if you are playing on the hard difficulty, then your experience should be more or less the same.
