Exploring Ebisugaoka Middle School

Finding Objectives and Key Items

Your first objective will be to find the key, but it will then change to exploring the middle school.

Go past both of the sliding doors in front of you, and you will notice stairs on your left. Ignore that for now and take the next left and then another left.

Discovering the Shrine and Collecting Faith

Go up the stone stairs, on you will come across a Shrine (there will also be an Origami of Rumors right next to the shrine).

After grabbing that, keep following the path ahead, and you will find Dried Carcass (equivalent of 200 Faith).

After getting the Dired Carcass, you can offer it to the Shrine for some faith. Now, go back inside the school and take a left.

Follow the light (it will go out as you reach closer), you can see ahead, and enter the room on your right.

Office and Locker Room Exploration

Collecting Weapons and Reading Notes

There will be a steel pipe in the room. Replace it with the one you already have if it is worn out to save a toolkit. East of the pipe will be a Teacher Journal.

There will also be a box in the room that requires a key to open. Also, right next to it, there will be a note to the faculty on patrol duty.

Now, go back to the hallway and travel to the right. Open the first sliding door on your left to enter the locker room. Then, open the box in front of you for a bandage, and in a locker on the right side, you will find a First Aid Kit.

On the left side, Aoi Takeshi’s locker will be locked (I will get back to this later), so you will have to find the passcode for it. Exit the room and enter the one opposite to it.

Getting the Second Floor Key

Hard and Story Difficulty Locations

There, you will find a Ramune and School Founder’s Anecdote. Now, if you are playing on the hard difficulty, you can find the key to the second floor in the school’s garden.

Get out of the window in the room you are currently in and head down. No need to fight the enemies, as that would be a waste of resources, so instead run to the right, and eventually you will come across a blueish flower bed.

There, you find the key to the second floor.

Using the Hairpin and Garden Route

On the other hand, if you are playing the game on story difficulty, it can be found in the faculty room (office), but the drawer will be locked. In order to open the drawer, you will need a hairpin. The hairpin can be found in the garden.

Go out the window, and this time, take a left. At the corner of the map, inside the shack, you will find a woven basket, and inside that will be the hairpin. Grab the hairpin and go back to the office to get the key.

Sledgehammer Weapon

Locations and Weapon Benefits

If you are playing on hard difficulty, then after getting the key to the second floor, you may notice some stone stairs to your left. Climb them, and to your left, on top of a bench, you will find a Sledgehammer.

If you are playing on the story mode, then simply move in the opposite direction of where you found the hairpin. Keep going until you reach the stone stairs, and then grab the weapon.

The sledgehammer is actually a pretty massive upgrade of whatever you have, so make sure to grab it. It is slow but deals tremendous damage.

Exploring the Second Floor

Defeating Enemies and Finding the Antique Comb

After getting the key to the second floor, return to the stairs and head up. There will be some Kashimashi in the way, but ignore them and keep heading up the stairs.

Unlock the door, go straight, and then take a left. At the top left, you will find an Antique Comb that can get you a hefty sum of Faith, so make sure to grab it.

Entering Hinako’s Classroom

Now, go back into the hallway and continue forward. Just ahead will be Hinako’s old classroom . Enter it, and the door will be locked. There will be an unopened letter inside the classroom, another Origami of Rumors, and a secret box.

Secret Box Puzzle

Story and Hard Mode Solutions

Secret box features a puzzle, so if you are on story mode, choose Cherry and Strawberry (strawberry will be on the front, and cherry will be at the back) for round one.

For the next round, select only books (one in the front and the other two at the back) and box round three, just choose the Cherry Blossom Branch (front).

However, if you are playing on the hard difficulty, choose all fruits in round one (three in front and three at the back). For round two, go with all the books and Origami (one in the front and others at the back).

Now, for the last round, all flowers and the Cherry Blossom Tree (two in the front and one at the back) are the right choice.

When the cutscene ends, go straight and unlock the room to your right by using the key you just got. After entering the room, pick up the Old Annex Main Gate Key and a Note to Teacher from the podium.

Then, exit the room, and to your right will be a scarecrow. Ignore that, and unlock the room to your left.

Pick up the Origami of Grievances, and you will get the combination of one of the lockers.

Defeating the Exit Enemy

Now, go out of the room, and an enemy will be waiting for you at the exit. Defeat it, go left, and then down the stairs.

Returning to the First Floor

Unlocking Doors and Finding Notes

After coming back to the first floor, make your way to the locker room. Right to the locker room will be some wooden stairs. Follow them and unlock the door using the Old Annex Main Gate Key.

Enter through the door, take a right, enter the classroom, and you will find a Note Between Lovers in the middle. Exit the room and keep going right (there will be another Note from a Male Student, so grab it). If you don’t understand the note, don’t worry, I’ll tell you the solution when the time comes.

Now, start making your way in the opposite direction, and you will find another Note Between Lovers right next to a watering can and a plant. Keep going ahead and then enter the classroom at the end.

Locker Room Key and Puzzle

Finding Notes and Unlocking the Locker Room

Now, go to the middle right bench, where you may also notice a notebook. There, you will find a locker room key (for a different locker room) and Asakura’s Textbook.

Exit the classroom and go back to where you came from. However, be cautious as an Ayakakashi will ambush you from the right. Defeat the enemy and then go back.

After descending from the stairs, take a left and enter the locker room you are already aware of. Open Aoi Takeshi’s locker by using the 401 combination.

Then, exit the room and go left to unlock the girls’ locker room. It will be right next to the stairs, so open it and head inside. Inside, there will be three lockers you can unlock.

Unlocking the Cabinet and Viewing Final Cutscene

After getting everything, go back to the office right beside the shoe cupboards (getabako). Do note that there are going to be a lot of Ayakakashi in the hallway, so it is better to avoid fighting them.

As there are many enemies in the hallway, it will be challenging for you to get to the office.

So, instead, let them follow you and approach the stairs right ahead. Go up and keep going until you reach the different set of stairs.

Then, go down, and the enemies won’t be chasing you anymore (more like a loop, but only once).

Get inside the office and unlock the Key Cabinet to get the Key to the Black Mountains. After that, head back to Shu and Rinko, and a cutscene will start. With this, Silent Hill f Chapter Six, Ebisugaoka Middle School, concludes.
