Silent Hill f Walkthrough – Ebisugaoka Mountain Path

Silent Hill f Ebisugaoka Mountain Path Walkthrough

Silent Hill f has five different endings and 13 total chapters. The game isn’t that long, and it is pretty linear. However, if you are a completionist and want to collect everything and see all the endings, it is going to take you a lot of time. If you want more information regarding the game, I recommend heading over to its official Steam Page.

All of the chapters in this game are pretty complicated, especially the Dark Shrine ones. Chapter eight in particular isn’t difficult, but it does require you to find some items, which can take a while. Here, I will guide you through the Silent Hill f Chapter Eight, Ebisugaoka Mountain Path, so you can have the best possible experience.

Find Shu And Rinko

Hinako Going Out of The School Silent Hill f.

Your first objective when Hinako wakes up is to find Shu and Rinko, as they are no longer with you. Exit the school, and a small cutscene will play. When the cutscene ends, you will find yourself in the mountain, so head up the stone stairs just ahead.

Find A Way To Shu’s House

Once you see the staircase ending before going up the other one on your right, take a left and grab a chocolate from a wooden bench. After that, keep heading up the stairs and follow the path until you come across a shrine. Pray to the shrine to perform desired actions and then follow the path to the left to get a Yokan.

Then, head over to the other path and take a left (follow the pathway to the end, and you will find Dried Carcass). Now, go back and continue on the main path and head up the stone stairs. Continue following the path until there is a dead end at the front. Then, take a left and head up the inclined path.

How To Get An Axe

Just ahead will be an enemy, so make sure to defeat it, and then, to the left, stuck in a tree, you will find an Axe. As this is a heavy weapon, you can replace it with the Sledgehammer if you obtained that in Chapter Six (Ebisugaoka Middle School).

Keep Exploring The Mountains

After that, follow the pathway to your left. Along the way, you will find a bandage on a wooden bench to your right. Grab that, and just ahead will be more enemies. There are many monsters, so you don’t have to fight them, as that would be a waste of resources. Before going straight, go up to the left, across the wooden shack, and get an Antique Comb.

Now, go back to the main path, and move the log of wood to continue going ahead. However, make sure there are no enemies behind you, as they can do significant damage. After moving the log, follow the pathway ahead until you hear Hinako say something.

Wooden Bridge.

Then, instead of going straight, take a left, grab a Ramune next to the wooden basket. Following that, head to the path on the left, across the wooden bridge, and then head down from the left. At the end of the path, you will find a toolkit. Grab it, then go back. Now, at your east, right next to the wooden bridge, there will be another path, follow that.

Ignore The Monsters And Keep Going Ahead

On your way, grab Kudzu Tea from the wooden box at your left. Then, follow the pathway, and ahead will be some more enemies. Ignore them and take a right after going up the stairs. Grab Research Notes on Hakkokuso and then move in the opposite direction.

Go under the wooden bridge on your right and grab the Antique Comb placed right beside the shovel. Then, go back, take a right, and continue following the path. On the way, you will come across another. Ignore it and follow the pathway to the right.

Strange Note In Silent Hill f.

Follow the wooden platform (there will be another monster). Just in a little while, you will hear Hinako say, “Did I finally make it out?” That means you are in the right place. Interact with the board just ahead to get a Strange Note and grab the Red Capsule from the right (there is also a toolkit and a Yokan at the path to the left).

Head To The Mountain Refuge

To the left of where you grabbed the toolkit is a path. Go there and you will notice the monsters are lying on the ground. Just ahead, between the trees, you will find another Strange Note, and to its east, you can find a Red Capsule.

After getting the Red Capsule, follow the pathway to its left and pick up an Ema along the way. Some of the monsters may get up, but ignore them and keep going ahead. At the end of the way, you will notice an enemy. There is no need to fight it; go past the monster and go down. There will be a shrine just ahead of you.

Find The Gate Key

Your next objective is to find the gate key. You can find the key and another Strange Note right beside the shrine, so pick them both up. After that, go around the house and pick up the Shriveled Abura-age (equivalent of 500 Faith).

You can also find a Crowbar on top of the wooden bench. However, stay on guard as you will be attacked by two or three enemies (only one if you are playing on the Story difficulty). Defeat them, and then move the wooden logs west to the shrine. After moving the logs, go down, and you will be chased by the Fog Monster once again.

Escape The Fog Monster

Hinako Is Running Away From The Fog Monster in Silent Hill f.

Keep following the path on the left and make sure not to step on anything redish on the way. Eventually, you will reach the puking enemy, but before that will be a path to the left. Follow the wooden bridge and then take a U-turn when you see a glowing lantern (it will be right at the end of the wooden bridge).

Then, follow the path ahead and ignore enemies on the way. Along the way, you will notice a stone stairs on your left. Go up and follow the path to your left. After a little while, you will notice the Fog Monster coming from the left. Instantly head to the path to the right and then take another right.

Dodge past the enemy at the front, cross the wooden bridge, and go left. Then, interact with the gate at your right to trigger a cutscene. There will be plenty of boxes around containing Higashi, Arare, and a First Aid Kit.

Then go ahead, and the Fog Monster will start chasing you again. To the north, you will notice Ara-abare. Ignore that enemy and instead move the wooden logs to the left. After that, follow the path and go under the fallen tree. After that, take a U-turn and run past all of the enemies.

In just a little while, a cutscene will commence. Once the cutscene is over, your objective will update.

Head To Shu’s House

Approach the shrine just ahead and save your progress (On the left side of the shrine, there is a way that goes up to a secret location. There you will find the Divine Tree that will unlock a missable achievement “O Divine Tree”). Then, follow the path to the right and upon reaching Shu’s house, your objective will change to find Shu and Rinko.

Go around the house, and you will notice a shack to the west. Head inside and pick up the Front Door Keys to Shu’s House and a Prescription for My Partner.

Shu's Shack.

There will also be some Red Capsules, so pick those up too. Now, go in the opposite direction from where you are to find the front gate. Interact with it, and a cutscene will commence. Hinako doesn’t find anyone in the room but hears a knock at the door, hoping it’s Shu. However, upon opening the door, Hinako gets attacked by a strange entity and loses consciousness.

With this, Silent Hill f Chapter Eight, Ebisugaoka Mountain Path, concludes. Keep in mind that if you are playing on Story difficulty, you may find fewer enemies than mentioned in this walkthrough. The enemy count matches my description if you are playing on Hard difficulty.
