Silent Hill f is a psychological and survival horror game, where you play as Shimizu Hinako, a pretty interesting character. Hinako doesn’t really have that much confidence in herself, but the horrors she will face will perhaps give her a boost, right? After enduring constant insults from her father, Hinako leaves the house, and her journey begins. Here, I will provide you with a complete walkthrough of Chapter One in Silent Hill f, Ebisugaoka.

Head To The Town
Before you start the game, make sure to set the Action and Puzzle difficulty according to your preference. I would recommend choosing the lowest or the second lowest for your first playthrough, as getting the hang of it is more important. Please note that you must select the Puzzle difficulty as you want it, because you won’t be able to change it again.
The same goes for the Action difficulty; select the one you are most comfortable with to have a better experience.
When you are out of the house, follow the path on the right and go down the mountains. The path isn’t that complicated, and you will easily reach the first Hokora. If you aren’t aware already, Hokora is a shrine that can be used to save your game and, of course, change Hinako’s costume.
Now, keep going ahead until you reach the town. Upon reaching the town, on your left, you may notice a red post. Right next to the post, you will find an article, so pick that up.
Head To The Chizuruya General Store
The next step is to head to the Chizuruya General Store, which isn’t complicated either.
Once you have reached the town, walk forward, and you will trigger a cutscene. The cutscene will show you that a blue truck is blocking your way, so on the map, it will be marked as a cross, just like in Silent Hill 2 Remake. Now, as the path is blocked, go to the opposite side (left of the truck).
Following that, Hinako will tell you about a shortcut just ahead, so go straight, and on your right will be a narrow path. Go through that narrow path and walk forward to trigger another cutscene. When the conversation with Sakuko is completed, your journal will be updated.
After that, head straight and take a left. No need to go to the right as there is nothing. Take another left, and then the first right. After that, go straight, and the Chizuruya General Store will be right ahead of you. Enjoy the cutscene, as after that, it is time to escape the fog monster.
How To Escape From The Fog Monster
As soon as the cutscene ends, you will have to run from the fog monster. It isn’t a boss, so you won’t have to literally fight it. Simply run along the path, but make sure not to step on the red flowers on the ground, as if you do, then it’s game over and you will have to restart from the last checkpoint.
After following the path for a little while, you will have to jump off a small wooden gate. Do so and take the first left. Then go straight and try to make your way through the narrow gap, and a short cutscene will start. After the cutscene is over, go back, take a right, and then press the prompt that appears on your screen to go under the wooden platform. Then, head right, another right, a left, and then straight ahead.
Now, after crossing the well on your left, follow the path to the right and go to the front. Don’t panic and start running back, as that would just get you eliminated. Upon reaching the dead end just ahead, an unknown person would throw a ladder for you to climb.
Climb that ladder, and congratulations, you have escaped the Fog Monster.
Make Your Way Back To Chizuruya General Store
Hinako will be injured, so head straight using the little momentum she has left, and you will automatically get a letter from Shu. You will also get 10 Red Cpasules that slightly restore health and max sanity (not IRL, though).
It will take about four pills to get your health back to full. After eating the capsules, go straight ahead and make sure to pick up a Bandage (greatly restores health) from the right on your way. After that, go to the left and make your way through this new section.
Then, you will find a steel ladder, but don’t go up yet. Head left, make your way through to the end, and you will get some more red capsules. Now, climb the ladder and keep heading straight. Climb over the stone wall, go straight, and then make your way through the narrow gap.
Avoid The Monsters
After making your way through the gap, follow the path on your right, and a scene will trigger. When the cutscene is over, lock on to the enemy and dodge its attack. Press X/A to dodge.
Now, you can’t fight the enemy because you don’t have a weapon. So, it is better to get the hang of dodge here by trying it a few times, and after that, just run away. Getting out of the enemy’s sight will let you escape from the combat.
Make your way down the stairs and take the second right to get some more red capsules. Now, keep going ahead and head to the left. After that, take another left and go under the wooden platform. Descend, and you will find your first Yokan (greatly increases health but can also be used as an offering).
Go back and keep making your way ahead until you reach a dead end. Before the dead end, you will notice a wooden platform on your left, so follow that and collect some red capsules and the Local Doctor’s Note. Now, go back down the stairs, and take a left.
After that, climb the wall, go up the stairs, take a right, pick up the red capsules, and then keep making your way ahead. Then you will come across a house on your right.
Investigate The House
Your next task is to investigate the house and find a bloody key, which won’t take much of your time. Simply, head up the stairs and open the door right in front of you. Open the drawer to get another Yokan, and then on the left side of the room, you will find a mask covered with blood. Interact with it to get the bloody key.
Now that you have the key, exit the room, and right in front of you will be a monster. Let it approach you, dodge, and enter the room it came from. In the room, you will find a back door key on a table on the east side. After getting that, use the bloody key to unlock the wooden door, climb from the west, and then make your way down the ladder.
Keep going ahead until you climb down again. Now, before making your way to the left, go straight and grab some red capsules. Then, keep making your way ahead, and another monster will be there to block your path. Wait for the monster to approach you and then simply dodge and run away.
Upon taking a left, take another left as there is a unique item just ahead. So, go ahead and pick up the comb, make your way up the stairs, and you will find a shrine. Here, you can give offerings to get some faith. If you followed my walkthrough perfectly till now, you should be able to get 360 faith. After that, draw an Omamori. Also, make sure to save your game.
After you are done with that, start descending, and a short cutscene will start.
Defeat The Monster
After the cutscene ends, you will have a weapon, so it is time to fight the monster. This type of monster likes to stall a bit, so you can go ahead and hit it once. I recommend using heavy attacks to stun the monster quickly, as this way you will be able to attack it more often. However, do make sure you are not totally out of stamina.
It would take three heavy attacks to defeat the enemy. You must connect one of the heavy attacks when the enemy is stunned, as it would do more damage. If you fail to do that, it will take more hits to defeat the monster. After that, grab the bandage, head up the stairs, and there will be another enemy right ahead. Defeat the monster using the same tactic and keep making your way ahead.
On your way, you will find a toolkit that will help you restore the weapon’s durability. After that, go ahead and take a left to find Ramune (greatly restores max sanity and can also be used as an offering) in a box. Then, go back and keep following the straight path. Grab the Yokan in your front and then head up the stairs on your left, and another monster will appear.
Defeat the monster and make your way around the houses. On the east side, you may notice a wooden box that contains a Ramune. Then, go up the stairs, grab some red capsules from the east side, and get a steel pipe from the west. Also, make sure to pray and record your progress. After that, head straight, and a cutscene will commence.
Pay Your Respect To Sakuko
After you are done paying your respect to Sakuko, a total of three Kashimashis will attack you. Don’t worry, they won’t jump you; they will come after you one by one.
The first one will come from the north, and the other two will appear from the west. Make quick work of them, and the Chapter One in Silent Hill f, Ebisugaoka, will be over.
