Silent Hill: Townfall Walkthrough – Part 5: Richard

Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough of Silent Hill: Townfall, Part 5: Richard.

Silent Hill: Townfall is a survival horror game that places a greater emphasis on stealth than combat. That said, some sections favor a more combat-focused approach, such as Part 5: Richard.

As a Silent Hill game, Townfall features its fair share of brutal puzzles and challenging sections. Part 5 includes both, although it is relatively short. It also introduces some extremely annoying enemies that can deliver some pretty solid jump scares.

With that in mind, here is a complete walkthrough of Silent Hill: Townfall, Part 5: Richard. Also, for more information, check out the game’s Steam page.

Silent Hill: Townfall – Part 5: Richard Walkthrough – Chapter 12: Getting Inside

Once the cutscene is over, you will be playing as Richard. Then head left and go right. On the right side, you will see a small yellow area. Open the door and then interact with the machine. This will open the gate, so proceed from there.

Then go ahead and take a left. Take another left, and you will find a place with “Visitors and Employees Sign In” written on the left side of the door. Enter through the door, go ahead, and in the last room on the left side, you will find a locked locker.

Enter The Building Through The Shutter

Keep this one in mind and then head out. Then go ahead and interact with the shutter on the left. Once you are inside, go ahead and open the door on the right side. From there, proceed forward, and a small jumpscare will appear. There will be a phone on the right side that you can use.

While you are at it, unlock the main door. Then head up the stairs, and inside the room on the left side, you will find the generator key. It will be in the cabinet on the southeast side of the wall. Then exit the room, and the same monster will run through the fire exit.

Power Up The Generator

So, go through the fire exit, head down the stairs, and the generator will be right ahead. Before you use the generator key, head to the back side of the generator and move the valve on the far right side. Then use the generator key and perform the next action.

Now head in the opposite direction, a little to the east side, and enter through the door. Then head into the room on the right and interact with the computer. The computer will have the code for the gym locker key. It will be 147, so input it and then unlock the locker to get a first aid kit.

Head Up Using The Lift – Chapter 13: Another Attempt

Then head to the right side, where you will notice a green light. Head inside the lift and interact with the control panel. Then press the power button and the arrow-up button. The lift will then go up, so when it stops, go ahead and open the gate at the end of the path and go up further.

Then keep going ahead, and after that, when the path has finished, there will be a ladder on the right side. Interact with it to go up further. Then go ahead and head down the ladder. On the right side, there will be a window from where you can enter inside.

Then interact with the door, and a cutscene will commence. So, once the cutscene is over, you will have a shotgun. From there, go ahead and exit the area. Head to the right side inside the washroom to find medical supplies. Then go around the area to reach the stairs.

Keep Going Up

There, you will find the map of CEG HQ. Head up the stairs, and you will see the same monster. Go ahead near the body and pick up the shotgun ammo. Then go ahead and take a right to find more bullets right next to the body. Then head to the northwest side to get more bullets. Head left, go through the room, and into the washroom for more bullets and gauze.

Then head up the stairs. They are right beside the previous body. As you go up the stairs, a monster will appear. Shoot it, and if it runs away, aim and shoot again. Then loot the entire area and head into level Number 4. There will be one more monster here, so take it down.

Near Richard’s body, you can find bullets, so always look around for them. Then follow the path to the left. Do note that the monsters love to hide, so if you notice them, open fire. Then head inside the washroom for more bullets, and on the left side beside the pillar, one more monster will be hiding.

Head Up The Stairs To Keep Progressing

Make sure to check out every room for loot, and then on the right side at the end of the path, there will be the way to the stairs. Open the door to head up further. There will be a body ahead with a first aid kit right beside it. Pick that up and then head near the elevator.

Upon doing that, a cutscene will commence. Once the cutscene ends, pick up the Access Card Level 3/4 from ahead and then use the telephone to save your progress. Then head down the stairs, go left, and open the door using the access card you just got.

Pick up the bullets and gauze from H.R. Records, and then a couple of monsters will appear outside. Take them down and then head inside the Head of H.R. office. Pick up the bullets, exit the office, head left, and use the access card to open the door.

Head Down To Level 3

Then head down to Level 3 and beware of the monster along the way. After that, use the access card to unlock the door leading to Finance and Public Relations. Then go ahead while looting the area and enter the room on the left side.

You will need to open it first using the access card. As you enter, a monster will run towards you. Take it down and then enter the room on the left side. Inside, there will be a telephone and a computer. Save your progress and then interact with the computer.

Check the mail, exit the room, and enter the one in front, a little to the west. Pick up the bullets and gauze along with a note in the drawer. There will be some monsters here, so take them down and then loot everything. In one of the rooms, you will find Richard’s Note right next to the body.

Once you have looted everything, head to the P.R. Records and open the door using the code 1607.

Head Up The Stairs

Once you have picked up all of the items inside, exit and head up the stairs. Then pick up the CEO Storeroom Key from the right side inside the room right next to the body. Then head to the storeroom to open it using the key. Inside, you will find some items: a Projector Bulb and a CEG Checkout Sheet.

Once you exit the storeroom, a monster will start rushing toward you. Take it down and then head to the right side to exit the area. Then head to Finance down at Level 3 and use the access key card.

Once you have done that, you will also have to input the code, which is 2709. Collect the loot inside, and then in the C.F.O. office on the northeast side, you will find a projector lens. Then head out of Finance.

Head Back To The Top

Now you have to head back to the top using the stairs. Once you are there, enter the same room you found the access card to Level 3 and 4 from. There will be a projector. Add the projector bulb and lens, and then start it. Then pick up the CEO Maintenance Key from the hand of the body on the left side of the projector.

Then head out of the room, go ahead a little, and then go right. Open the door using the key you just got and head down the ladder. Pick up the medical supplies from the table, open the door on the left, and head down the ladder further.

Open the gate to the north. Do not go out; just unlock it. Pick up the bullets and then head down further using the ladder. As you reach Level 2, you will find a telephone ahead. Use it to save your progress, pick up the ammo, unlock the door, and exit.

Enter The Operations Department

Then, to the north, is the Operations Department. Enter, take down the monster, head left, and open the storage using the code 1036. Loot the storage, exit, head to the right, open the door, and then open the entrance to the stairs.

Head Down To Level 1

Then head down the stairs to reach Level 1. From there, go ahead, take down the monsters, head right, and exit through the open door. Go ahead and open the door. Then head into Administration and then into the storeroom on the left side. The code is 4512.

Then head down the stairs and go to “The Gallery” Meeting Space. There, you will find more bullets, a first aid kit, and Projector Slides on the table. Then head back to Level 5, the top level, and insert the projector slides into the projector.

You need to put them in order. At the 1st spot, put Slide D. At the 2nd spot, put Slide F. At the 3rd spot, put Slide B. At the 4th spot, put Slide C. At the 5th spot, put Slide E, and at the 6th spot, put Slide A. Then turn on the projector, and you will get the CEO Access Card. Then use the CEO Access Card at the elevator.

After that, head to Level 10 and go to the same location you went to as Simon. As you interact with the door, a cutscene will commence, and Part 5: Richard in Silent Hill: Townfall will come to an end.
