Welcome to the third part of our walkthrough for Solateria.
We’ve unlocked our first major traversal upgrade, the Air Dodge, and managed to reach the Terradin Greenhouse Entrance Altar after defeating Fidiel. Terradin Greenhouse is a large zone that connects to other zones. But for now, our goal is to get to the Ashen Hills to the northeast.

Unlocking Quick Drop Ability

Terradin Greenhouse connects to both the Water Mirror Basin and the Ashen Hills. Before we can explore the zone further, we’ll need to unlock a new ability called the Quick Drop.
From the Terradin Greenhouse Entrance Altar, start heading right while sticking to the lower path. The first drop-down next to the Altar leads to a dead end,

Continue heading right, and you’ll soon face some Flower Buds. These enemies aren’t too tough, but they spread a dark spore that inflicts Darkness, which reduces your maximum Warmth.

Continue heading right until you reach another opening you can drop through.

Drop to the next section and continue heading right until you stand on top of a wooden platform. You can break the wall on your left to reveal a Firm Solin Fragment. Pick it up and drop it down.

Go right and drop down to the next section.

The next area is filled with enemies. You’ll see a blue crystal barrier in the lower part of the section that you can break from your side. This leads to the Water Mirror Basin. It’s a good idea to open the path for now, but we’ll explore that zone later.

Continue heading left, defeating all the enemies along the way. Jump up through the opening on the left edge.

Interact with the King’s Statue to unlock the Quick Drop ability. This lets you bounce on the mushroom jump pads spread throughout the region to gain height and get past obstacles.
Go right, past the mushroom pad, to find two small OHN deposits and an NPC. Break the deposits and talk to the NPC, Myosoo. She says she is looking for someone. After her dialogue, she disappears.

Use the mushroom pads to reach the area above you.

You’ll reach a blue crystal wall. Break it and head through the top to loop back to the Terradin Greenhouse Entrance Altar.

This time, you’ll find Chasa waiting for you by the Altar. Talk to him. He’ll tell you to go to the Ashen Hills.
Reaching the Mural of the Five Warriors Altar

Now that you’ve unlocked quick drop, use the mushroom pad to the left of the Altar to reach the upper platform.

Continue heading up, and you’ll run into some more enemies. This time you’ll also face a Horn. These enemies are stationary but can fire spores a long distance that explode after a brief delay.

Defeat the enemies and continue heading up, along the left path till you reach the next area.

This zone is also filled with many enemies. Take them out and go to the bottom left corner to find some OHN deposits you can loot.

You can reach a mushroom pad on the left from the upper platform. Use it to head up and left to find an exit to the next area.

Take down the Horn and the Spear Guard here and use the wooden scaffolding to climb up and left to the next section.

Continue making your way forward, and you’ll run into a Terradin Sorcerer. These enemies are beefy and can cause a lot of trouble early on. But thankfully, they don’t respawn.

After defeating the Terradin Sorcerer, continue going up. You’ll reach an exit at the top. But before you head up, go left to pick up the Premium Solin Fragment on the ground up ahead.

In the next section, continue going left to reach the Mural of the Five Warriors.

You’ll also spot Muha. Talk to him and run through his dialogue. Inspect each Mural depicting the five legendary warriors of Solateria. Then interact with the Altar to activate it.
Unlocking the Shortcut To the Entrance

From the Mural of the Five Warriors Altar, backtrack to the right. We’ll take the upper path this time. Continue running forward and enter the next section after a wooden slope.

Take out the Spear Guard in the next room and drop down. The wall on the right has an enemy hiding behind it, who will ambush you. Take it down and pick up the Thorned Vines. This is another food ingredient.

Go left and drop down to fight another Spear Guard. There are no more enemies here. Just keep going right till you reach the next section.

There’s an upper path and a lower path here. There’s a Terradin Warrior on the upper path. We’ll take the lower path first.

Take out the enemies as you go forward. Keep heading right till you reach the exit.

Clear out the enemies in this area and head down. There’s an exit heading further west on the right.

This leads to a river. You can see a path on the other side, but you can’t get across. Return to the previous area.

On the bottom-left part, you’ll spot a red barrier.

Go right and into the little section on the bottom right. You’ll find a lever past a couple of enemies. Activate it to remove the red barrier. This opens a shortcut back to the Terradin Greenhouse Entrance Altar.
Exploring The Quarry

Make your way back to the Terradin Warrior you saw earlier. Take it down and continue heading right along the upper path to reach the next section.

You’ll see the South of the Quarry Altar up ahead. Activate it.

Go right and drop down to the section below. Take out the enemies here. Continue forward till you reach the next section.

There are some more enemies that you’ll have to fight. Note the Horn enemy on the upper platform. You can’t reach it at the moment.

Go all the way to the right for a large OHN deposit. There’s also a breakable floor here, but you’ll need to unlock a new ability for it.

Return to the South of the Quarry Altar and go right, along the upper path.

Keep heading right, and you’ll have to fight another Terradin Sorcerer.

Use the mushroom pad on the right to jump up to the upper floor. Continue heading right.

You’ll spot a Stone Tablet up ahead. The lower path leads to a dead end with a red barrier. So use the mushroom pad to head up.

Go all the way to the top and then start heading right. You’ll have to fight some more enemies along the way.

Use the mushroom pad to jump up and go to the next zone through the top.

This takes you to the outskirts of Ashen Hills. Continue heading right past the enemies. You’ll encounter a new type of enemy (Lava Slime) that explodes after a brief delay once you attack it. The explosion also damages your enemies, so you can use it to your advantage.

There’s another Terradin Sorcerer waiting for you up ahead. Take it down.

Keep moving right till you reach the Ceramic Path Altar. Upgrade your stats and get ready; you’re about to go up against the Guardian of Pyron.
Take a few steps past the Altar to start the fight.
How to Beat Guardian of Pyron

The Guardian of Pyron guards the entrance of Ashen Hills. It’s one of the five Guardian Bosses you’ll face in the game. While these bosses are optional, Guardian of Pyron is a boss you have to beat to progress.
Guardian of Pyron has a massive health pool for the stage you’re at and hits like a truck. But he still only has 3 Resistances and a relatively simple set of attacks that you can block or parry. You can break his stance easily when you manage to get the parry timings down.

The boss has a dash attack where he slams the ground and then quickly follows up with a sword attack. Both the slam and the sword attack can be parried.

He also has a combo where he swipes twice with his sword and instantly switches to an unblockable slash attack. This attack leaves a fire trail that will damage you.

Finally, he’ll use a slow swinging sword slash and follow it up with a fireball blast from his left hand. You can parry the sword attack, but for the fireball blast, it’s best to dodge and get behind the boss.

Just focus on dodging and parrying his attacks, and you’ll be able to execute Pyron Actions constantly to whittle down his health. Once the boss is incapacitated, use Burst to deal massive damage.

After defeating the boss, continue heading right till you reach a King’s Statue. This will give you the Counter ability, allowing you to parry with your charged attack if you manage to time it properly.
Continue heading right from here to enter Ashen Hills.
