Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Sorry We’re Closed.

Sorry We’re Closed is a nostalgic, single-player survival horror game with rich lore, deep characters and multiple endings. Apart from the steps outlined in this walkthrough, it has a lot more to offer, so we highly recommend that you explore and interact with its world as much as possible.

As you start this phase of the game, you are back in the Duchess’ hotel. Talk to the Massive Eyesore and get information on the Duchess and Darrel. Talk to Clarissa next to get a Camera. Speak to Robin in the hallyway. Then head down. Go up to Darrel and listen in.

Head through the door to the Kitchen. Talk to Darrel and you will get the option to either punch him or punch him. He will make a deal with you to tell you the Duchess’ name in exchange for the recipe of the Pain Au Chocolat from the kitchen. Speak to Violet in the kitchen. Take a photo the dubious meat next to Violet.

Speak to Chef Armando, and you can hand him the Hot Sauce and Pickles from earlier. He will reward you with Yowzaas. Next to the chef, you will also find the recipe for the dessert, but you can’t do anything with it. Get out of the Kitchen and head into the dining hall; it’s the door on the right.

Watch the cutscene with Dan the Jester and the Duchess. Talk to the Duchess and head back to your room. Speak to Robyn and exit the hotel. Go to sleep in your room—dream of all that has happened so far and when you wake up head down the stairs. Lucy will talk to you at the bottom of the stairs and tell you that the deal is off. Out on the street you will see your workplace destroyed.

Speak to Stacy infront of the church gate and she will give you an evening dress. Head into Darrel’s bar and speak to Donovan for another log entry. Head into Donovan’s restaurant and show him the picture of the meat you took earlier.

This will sabotage their relationship. Exit the restaurant and Clarrisa will talk to you. Head into Darrel’s bar and ask him to chase Oakley. Head into Marty’s shop to speak to him, this should give you the achievement for Marty. Head to the church now. Speak to Chamuel outside the church and he will ask you the question.

I answered No at this point. Speak to Benedict and head to the Crypt. Watch the memory at the entrance and head in. Pick up the shotgun ammo on the left. Around the corner you can watch Robyn’s memory. You can’t make this jump so head into the door behind you. Kill the bat demons in this room and exit to the next. A dog statue will call out for help. These statues can only move when you are in third eye mode. So take them out in third eye mode by hitting their hearts.

Speak to the Dog next. Lead the Dog statue to the other pedestal with your third eye vision.

This will rotate the room around. Head down the stairs and kill the demons in the next room. Clear the blockage from the path from the wall that you can’t see due to the camera angle.

Follow this path to the end to find the Dog Statue again. Start leading him back to the pedestals you just crossed, but be careful not to step over the switches on the path or you will be attacked by the statues. Bring the dog statue back to the pedestal in front of the locked gate and the gate will open. There are pistol ammo in the bottom corner of the next room.

Pick them up and watch the memory. Follow Robyn into the coffin. Follow the narrow pathway through killing the demons and exit – remember to pick up the shotgun shells from the second alcove on your path. Go through to the next room, saving if you want. You cannot access your third eye in this room so keep going to exit the room.

In the next area, you will go down the stairs and see two doors. One marked with a O and another with an X. Don’t go to the X, as there is a spike trap there, you can only see the path through in third eye vision. Head through the door marked O for now.

Beyond this door you will meet the Shadowy figure again. Go back out and through the spikes into the door with an X. In this next area, there is a door marked with a Star that you can’t go through without a key. So head up and through the door marked with an Inverted Square.

The next area has two doors one marked with a Square and one marked with two lines. Watch the memory with Robyn first, go through the door up the stairs marked with two lines. Talk to the Knight Armor for the key – he will ask you answers to a puzzle just answer I don’t know both times and he will give you the key.

Now head back out and enter the door marked with the Square. Kill the knights inside and walk through the spike trap. Head down the stairs and through the door marked with the inverted triangle. In the next room, go to the right and pick up the artifact. Speak to the Knight now, offer peace for Water Bottles and offer War for Shotgun shells. Head back to the stairs to the door marked with the Star.

Once inside pull the lever to get rid of the angel eye. Head back to the corridor with the dog statue. As you hit third eye vision, the knights will rush you, take them out and lead the Dog Statue to the pedestal to open the path forward. Watch Gabriella’s memory here. When you take the watch a mini boss fight will start. Run around the room and shoot its hearts to charge up Heartbreaker. It will take two Heartbreaker shots. After you kill him exit through the door and into the stairs. Enter the first door on the stairs.

Speak to the knight and look through his eyes to see a door at the back. Clear the blockade and go in. Head up the stairs on the left and pick up the Sourdough starter – this is for the chef back at the hotel. Back out to the stairs and head down to the next door. There is nothing of note in this room, till you try to leave – the Duchess will show up and talk to you.

Leave afterwards. In the next room, pick up the Mummified Cat.

Back out into the stairwell and the next room. In this room, run down the stairs and keep running as spikes will be closing in on you. You will find the Dog Statue again. Bring it along with you across the spike maze and place him on his final pedestal. Be quick about it as the spike walls are closing in. Another spike wall run waits for you in the next room but this time with wooden boards barring your way. Make your way through the puzzle. Once through exit through the door. In the next room watch Gabriella’s memory.

When you pick up the pearls from the tomb a mini boss fight will ensue. Same as her father, kill her with two Heartbreaker shots. Check the sarcophagus that comes out. In the narrow corridor section, keep to the path on the right to exit but if you follow the left path you can pick up artifact guarded by a strong demon. Back at the stairwell head to the bottom of the crypt. Kill the Massive Eyesore and head in.

You will find Robyn inside here. Place Gabriella’s father’s watch and her mother’s necklace on the slots to open the contraption. Next up will be a gauntlet, demons will charge at you and Robyn. You have to keep Robyn alive while you take out the demons and wait for the lift to come back up. I found it better to not use the third eye for this section, this takes the Knights out of the equation. Charge up your Heartbreaker and take out the bigger enemies, focus on moving and keeping demons off Robyn. Eventually the lift will come back up and after a short cutscene choose what you want to do to Gabriella. I killed her and took the eye and the Duchess’ key. Then I handed the key to Robyn.
