Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Sorry We’re Closed.
Sorry We’re Closed is a nostalgic, single-player survival horror game with rich lore, deep characters and multiple endings. Apart from the steps outlined in this walkthrough, it has a lot more to offer, so we highly recommend that you explore and interact with its world as much as possible.

Back in the hotel, head down to the Dining Hall but change to the evening dress you received from Stacy earlier. Head down to the Chef and hand him the Sourdough to grant Violet freedom. Head to the dining hall now and speak to Donovan.
Speak to the Duchess next. Donovan will start to play his music. Challenge the Duchess and then leave to your room for your final night. You will be dropped back to the Dream Eater’s house. After a short cutscene, you will have to fight the Dream Eater. Stand in the black hole in the middle where Chamuel died to charge Heartbreaker. Shoot the Dream Eater with it next.
Go through the door into the library. You are going to have to run from the Dream Eater now. Keep running till you find the exit, it’s the path on the left. In this room you will meet Chamuel and after another cutscene you will have to fight the Dream Eater again.
Same as last time, stand on the Black hole to charge your Heartbreaker – except this time you will have to do it thrice. After you charge it once, the black hole will disappear – you need to find another corpse of Samuel. The next one is behind the bookcases on top. You have to run around clearing barriers to get to it.
The last one is in the central area.
He will go down after 3 shots. Keep going through the doors ahead of you till you reach Chamuel again. Talk to him to try and convince him this mission of his isn’t worth it. Then leave through the door on his left. Back in the library don’t take any detours, head straight up and pick up the ammo and water bottle.
Head back down and to the right now – keep towards the bottom of the maze to exit this place. Every other door seems to be a dead end and will get you boxed in and killed. Eventually you will come to another room, where Chamuel has been killed. Go through to the next room. Prepare for a boss fight in the chapel.
Survive the waves of enemies, charging up your Heartbreaker and avoid all the crap he drops on you by running around. Eventually he will drop Chamuel’s body. Stand on it to charge Heartbreaker up and shoot Dreameater. He has 3 hearts.
After three shots, he will die. Leave through the door, this will complete Dream Eater’s Palace. Talk to Robyn and Benedict and head to your apartment building. Speak to Robyn and head to the roof. When you go to sleep, you will wake up inside Dying Petals. Speak to Robyn. Head through the door to challenge the Duchess. Go through the conversation and run through the corridor after and watch your memory. Next up the fight with the Duchess.
Run around, hit third eye vision and shoot her hearts. It takes a while to charge Heartbreaker up but thankfully she has only 2 main hearts. Watch the cutscene after she goes down. Go through the door that just opened up and head up. Once inside you will face a mirror puzzle.
If you move in third eye vision, your memory will move on the other side but in the opposite direction. Avoid the fire and get your memory to the purple pedestal. Easiest way is to walk to the right wall and hug it and walk to the door. Enter the next room, where a similar puzzle waits.
Go through to the next room. You will see the Duchess soon after, go up the stairs. Out of nowhere, your memory will rush you and if you don’t kill it in time, it will cause damage to you. More memories of you in the next room, kill them in normal first-person mode, as they are too fast otherwise.
Make your path through the narrow corridor and exit through the giant door at the end. Another memory puzzle but this time your memory is stuck behind wooden planks. Free her and move her to the pedestal.
In the next room you will face a Knight who moves when you hit third eye vision to kill your memory. The trick is to hit the corner of the room so your memory does the same on the other side and the knight goes to follow her and kills itself in the fire.
Move her to the pedestal and you will be through. Keep going through the next door. Here, you will be attacked by a version of the Duchess and a Knight. Killing the knight will give you one charge of Heartbreaker and the rest you have to charge. Two shots will kill the demon.
Go through once the path is open. At the lift you need shoot the heart in third eye view till Heartbreaker is charged and then shoot the horse on top.
Once the lift is clear head up. Head through the bridge and in the next room, kill the knight quickly take the heartbreaker charge and shoot the horse on top of the rushing spike trap. On to the next room, another puzzle.
Get your memory to stand on the green switch first. So you can access the purple switch.
Stand infront of the purple switch and when both of you stop on it run to the Heartbreaker charge on the right. Head back out and stand across the Knight and shoot him with the Heartbreaker. Now walk your memory into the pedestal and go through. In the next room, go through the puzzle killing both the knights – the second one with the Heartbreaker from the first one, avoid your memories as best as you can.
In the next room, move in and out of third eye vision repositioning yourself in the left top corner to move your memory across to the side of the fire to kill the second memory bomb into the fire as it rushes your memory. Now do the same for the other memory bomb.
If you have a Heartbreaker charge, head to the other side and shoot the memory bomb left trapped in the box from behind.
Now move yourself and your memory on to the orange switch and then your memory to the green switch to pick up the artifact. Now walk your memory on to the purple switch and then the pedestal to exit. This next section I almost gave up on the game – you will be swamped by multiple enemies while a spike trap closes in on you. You need to shoot the enemies who have the Heartbreaker halo, pick the charge up and shoot three hearts on the horse on top of the rushing spike trap. It took me multiple tries to get it done – the trick is not to run too far back to engage too many enemies at one go. Also there is a charge inside one of the alcoves on the right that you can get without killing any enemies. Once all three hearts on the horse is done, go through.
You will meet up the Duchess for what seems like the final showdown. For this fight, you have to avoid her tornado attack, her calling memory bombs, her flicks, her slamming down her fist, her caging you and her blowing you a kiss to knock you out of third eye vision. She gives you openings to hit the hearts on her hands, charge up Heartbreaker and take out each hand.
Once all the hands are down, just pick up one of the charges that show up and shoot her through the heart. This will complete Hotel. Get out of the apartment building, talk to everyone on the street and open the shop.
