Welcome to our walkthrough of Sovereign Tower.
Cycle 3 introduces new visitors, including Guilhelm, who offers the Face the Horde quest, the mysterious Serpent Knight, the steward Alwena, and the powerful knight Gwendan. After unlocking the Intendancy, you can investigate your knights and improve your kingdom’s management. Testing different knights on Face the Horde shows that while Gwendan and Angelica can succeed, Goberto is the best choice thanks to his hunting trait, making him the most reliable option for the quest.

Cycle 3
Morning
Talk to Goberto and Angelina both from the Tower screen. I had rewound time earlier.
For Goberto ask who he is writing to. Then ask him what he is telling her. And then tell him how it all changes a man. This will increase affinity for Goberto.
Hold audience now.
Noon
Guilhelm
Guilhelm represents Groveshire. Apparently a beast is terrorizing Groveshire. I asked him what kind of creature it was. Apparently its killing goats and making dogs it’s henchmen. If you agree to take on the beast you will receive the quest “Face The Horde”.
Serpent Knight
He will tell you that he thinks this is not the first time you are the Sovereign. The option to say it is, is marked as a lie. I chose to tell him the truth even though narratively I had no reason to believe I had done this before. He asks you who you think you are, and I replied with the King and Ruler of this place. He will then leave.
Alwena
Alwena has joined the staff and requires a room. She can tell you secrets about the knights.
Gwendan
Gwendan claims to be the greatest knight in the land. He has very high charisma and all around decent stats. His attributes are Arrogant and Noble Soul. I invited him to the round table.
Roland
Roland wants you to fix the road to Grest. This will cost 90 Gold but will provide +2 satisfaction with the merchants and +1 with the people. I paid it.
Chester
Chester says something weird about the goose and its egg. I removed him via the guards.
Afternoon
From the tower screen go to the gallery and unlock the Intendancy.
Go to the Intendancy now and speak to Alwena. You can choose to investigate any of your knights. I chose Angelica. Head to the round table now.
Quest: Face the Horde
This quest has a low MAG, STR and AGI requirement. Angelica has decent STR and AGI but 0 MAG. Goberto has high STR, 1 AGI and 0 MAG but he likes to hunt which is a requirement for this quest. Gwendan has medium STR, AGI and low MAG.
Gwendan does complete the quest but takes 3 Damage and also uncovers a new location.
Angelica succeeds as well I had equipped her with a (+2 Magic) Silver Sword and even then she barely succeeded by taking 2 points of damage. She does level up as well.
Goberto equipped with the same Silver Sword, immediately gives an affinity boost. He does take 2 points of damage. But otherwise the outcome is the same as the other knights.
Therefore Goberto is my choice for the quest “Face The Horde”. He should level up as well, so I put up one point in Agility – as I am building him as my STR/AGI unit.
