StarRupture Walkthrough – Part 3

StarRupture is a first-person open survival base builder game with advanced combat mechanics. The game also features co-op, so you can even play with your friends. Your goal is to survive on a new planet filled with many abnormalities and eventually get rid of the massive explosion known as the Star Rupture. For more information, head over to its Steam page.

As the game has a vast open world, there are quite a few secrets that you will have to unravel along the way. At some point, you will even need to find specific blueprints to craft necessary items. I have already mentioned in my previous StarRupture walkthroughs where to find three of them. In this walkthrough of StarRupture, I will share how to find another blueprint while also making significant progress in the game.

Disclaimer

As StarRupture is an open-world base-building game, this walkthrough is based on my experience and how I chose to progress through the game. You may adopt a different approach, and that is absolutely okay. You may have developed an item more quickly than I did or discovered some materials before I did. That is pretty common in such games, where you have access to a vast open world and many different progression paths.

StarRupture Walkthrough – Reaching Level Five In All Of The Corporations

OCLs in StarRupture

If you have been following my walkthrough of StarRupture, you would already be pretty far along in the game. So now, as you have made a lot of progress, you need to be at least level four in most of the corporations. If you already are, then I recommend focusing on reaching level five in all of them.

This may take some of your time, but it will not be that complicated. Just build a lot of OCLs, fabricators, and furnaces. Also, make sure you have a proper supply of Calcium. If you do not already have a proper supply of Calcium, then follow my part 2 walkthrough of StarRupture.

Fabricator StarRupture

Organize your base to make everything as smooth as possible. If you assign all of the OCLs to one single commission, it will be over pretty quickly. However, you should assign at least two different commissions and then explore the world to find some items or secrets. This way, you will make the most of your time, and you will not have to return to your base after one commission has been completed.

Once both are completed, head back to the base, start two more commissions, and then explore more. If you think you cannot handle more than one commission at a time, then that is alright too.

Rewards For Reaching Level Five In All Corporations

LEMs in StarRupture
Rewards for reaching level five in Future Health Solutions in StarRupture.

Upon reaching level five in Future Health Solutions, you will receive two new LEMs. One of them is the Lesser Dietician LEM, which reduces natural caloric loss by 10 percent, and the other is the Lesser Irrigator LEM, which reduces natural hydration loss by 12 percent.

Reaching level five in Selenian Corporation will also reward you with an LEM. You will receive the Greater Miner LEM, which increases harvester damage by 25 percent. Not only will this significantly boost your mining speed, but it will also allow you to deal more damage to vermin.

At level five in Griffits Blue Corporation, you will receive 60 War Bonds. You can either use these to obtain a new weapon or simply upgrade an existing one, although you cannot upgrade the pistol.

Reaching level five in Moon Energy Corporation rewards you with a Wind Turbine. This serves as an alternative to solar energy, as it converts wind into electricity and provides an output of 200 MW.

Upon reaching level five in Clever Robotics, you will unlock Multirail 3 and Rail Modulator 3. The former is a connector for drone rails and is used to support long rail segments. The latter is also a connector for drone rails and is used for splitting or merging up to three rails.

That said, in order to reach level five in Moon Energy Corporation, you will need to have the Rotor Blueprint. You can obtain this by following the earlier part of my StarRupture walkthrough.

Heading Out To Get The Fourth Blueprint

giant engine from far away in StarRupture
Follow the giant engine to reach the new outpost.

Note

Before heading out, I recommend clearing your inventory and assigning a commission in your OCLs. As you are going to find a lot of items in the abandoned outpost, having items already in your inventory will only get in your way. Also, since you will have assigned a commission in your OCLs, it will be completed by the time you return.

In my previous two walkthroughs, I have already mentioned where to find three important blueprints. So now, I will explain how to find the fourth one. To find the Stabilizer Blueprint, you will need to head to the large engine that you can see north of the pond.

It will not be missable. Head north from the pond and go past the first geo scanner. Keep going and move beyond the Wolfram deposits. Eventually, you will need to go up the mountain. Do so, and you will be greeted by a lot of spitters. These vermin attack from a distance by spitting, and after each attack, they change their location, which makes them very annoying to deal with.

Defeat The Vermin To Head Inside The Outpost

On the way, many spitters will attack you.

The best way, in my opinion, to deal with them is to use the Harvester. You can use your machine gun, but since they move around a lot, you will end up wasting many bullets. The better strategy is to use your harvester and keep moving it as the enemies move. You can also strafe to avoid their spits.

This is the best strategy for me, but if you feel that shooting is easier, then by all means, go for it.

Note

You may have to use the harvester to fight several annoying enemies, so just in case, equip the Greater Miner LEM. This will boost the harvester damage by 25 percent.

Heading Inside The Abandoned Outpost

Now, as you have defeated the spitters, go ahead and keep moving north. You need to reach the top right area, but the only way to get there is by going around. Head north, and you will notice some steel stairs on the right. Go there, and more spitters will appear.

Defeat them however you like, and then start looting the area. While using the harvester at long and mid range can be quite effective, I do not recommend using it at close range. Make sure to switch to a pistol if the spitters get too close to you.

Get Rid Of The Spitters And The Blue Fog

blue flesh StarRupture
You can also shoot the blue flesh to get rid of it in StarRupture.

Upon getting onto the platform, you will notice that the area is covered in blue fog. You will also see some flesh-like blue growths spread around the area. You need to destroy all of them to remove the blue fog. Use your harvester to do this. Get rid of all the ones you can see, but you still will not be able to fully clear the fog.

This is because a few of them are well hidden, so I will explain how to find them. That said, while you are destroying the blue flesh, many more vermin will start to spawn. They will spit at you from all directions, so if you are not careful, you may end up returning to your base with an empty inventory.

They primarily target your shield, and once it is destroyed, being attacked by all of them at once can be lethal. Make sure to strafe their attacks and defeat them in time. Once you have dealt with them, start looting the area. Do not ignore the Rubble Piles, as you will get plenty of useful items from there.

How To Find The Blueprint Of Stabilizer

Go around the path to find the blueprint of Stabilizer in StarRupture.

Inside the first building, you will find some ammo, an LEM, food, and building materials. Go around that building, and you will notice a platform leading upward. Follow the platform carefully. In the last section, you will need to double jump. Once you do that, head up the stairs and destroy two more blue flesh growths.

Stabilizer Blueprint StarRupture

This will completely remove the blue fog. After that, loot the body to obtain some useful items along with an LEM. To the left, you will see a storage box. Inside it, you will find the Stabilizer Blueprint, along with War Bonds and a material that provides a large number of data points.

More spitters will attack you, but you already have everything you need, so you can safely ignore them. Before heading back to your base, you should unlock the map for this area. To do that, head down the stairs and then move north.

Unlock The Map Of The Area

geo scanner StarRupture

Keep heading north, and you will notice a Geo Scanner ahead. Approach it and interact with it to start the initialization. Once the initialization begins, a large number of vermin will ambush you. All three types of vermin will attack at once, so be careful.

Make sure to take care of the exploders before they can reach you, and use the machine gun to deal with the slashers. Note that a new type of vermin may also join the fight. It is quite similar to the spitter, but this one launches projectiles that have an AoE effect.

This vermin will stay fairly far away from you, so it is best to approach it first and then shoot. Once the Geo Scanner has finished scanning, interact with it again, and you will have the map of the area unlocked.

Note

As you are approaching the Geo Scanner, on the left side, you will see some purple deposits. Even if you use your harvesters, they will not mine anything, so you may think it is not something extractable. However, it is actually a helium deposit, and you can get helium from it only after placing a helium extractor on top of it.

Unlock The Recipe In The Recipe Station

Now that you have both the map and the blueprint, head back to your base and interact with the recipe station. Open the fabricator tab and insert the blueprint. After that, add 100 Rotors and 300 Titanium Rods. You will also need to insert 600 data points, which should not be a problem.

Once this is done, you will unlock the Stabilizer, which can then be processed in the Stabilizer unit.

Reaching Level Six In Selenian Corporation To Unlock The Helium Extractor

selenian corpo StarRupture

Now, you have to unlock the helium extractor, which is not going to be that difficult if you have been following my walkthrough. You just have to reach level six in the Selenian Corporation. For that, you will have to make a lot of Tubes. You will need to find the blueprint to unlock this recipe, and you very likely may already have it.

So, start the commission and make sure you have a few OCLs completing this one to make progress faster. It is worth noting that you will need Titanium Rods and Titanium Sheets to make the Tube. So you will need three fabricators if you need to make this material.

Once you have done all of that, it is only a matter of time before you reach level six. Once you do, head over to the corporate terminal and claim your reward. After that, it is time to set up a proper helium deposit.

Setting Up A Proper Helium Supply

helium deposits StarRupture

To get helium, head back to the geo scanner near the abandoned outpost where you received the stabilizer blueprint. Then, look to the left, and you will see two helium deposits. Place a base core there and set up a small base. After that, place two helium extractors on top of both deposits.

Now, you do not have to make a complete base here, since this one is made specifically for collecting helium. Due to that, you only need to set up some power and then build two storage depots. Once that is done, connect the helium extractors to the storage depots, and they will power up and begin working.

Making Sure Helium Reaches The Main Base For Convenience

Note

While you are making the rail near your new base, you may have noticed an entrance to a cave. If the Ruptura eventhappened during your stay at the new base, then the cave is worth exploring. It will not take much time, since the cave is pretty small, but you will find some useful materials there along with an LEM.

Now, you can either make a long rail and have it reach your main base, or you can simply make whatever you want from helium in this smaller one. In order to do the former, you will have to travel some distance and keep building along the way as you move forward. That said, I personally prefer this method, and by doing it this way, you will not have to come back again and again, which saves a lot of effort.

So, once you set up a trail, the helium will be transferred to your base while you are working on something else entirely. Because of this, it will be a huge time saver overall, and I highly recommend doing it this way whenever possible. When the trail finally reaches your base, make a few storage depots so you will have access to over 1,000 units of helium every time you need it.

I recommend taking helium out of the storage depots every now and then and storing it in the main storage box. This will ensure that you will not run out of helium when you need it the most. Upgrading your base core also requires a lot of helium, so it is an extremely important material that you should always keep stocked.

Unlocking The Glass Recipe

glass recipe StarRupture

Now that you have helium, you can unlock the recipe to make glass. This requires 2,500 helium, along with Calcium Powder and Data Points. I do not remember whether you need 300 or 600 Calcium Powder, but it is more likely the latter. You will also need 600 Data Points, which should not be a problem.

Once you have inserted those items into the recipe station, the glass recipe will be unlocked, and you will be free to craft it in the furnace. To make glass, you will need helium as well as Calcium Powder, so get to work. Glass is necessary to reach level seven in Future Health Solutions, and it provides the most points for reaching level seven in Selenian Corporation.

Not only that, but you will also need glass to make Intermediate Building Materials. You do not need a lot of glass right now; around 100 units is enough for the time being.

Unlocking The Intermediate Building Materials

You now have most of the things you need to unlock the Intermediate Building Materials. However, there is just one more thing you still need, and that is the Inductor. Unlocking it is fairly simple. From the Recipe Station, head over to the furnace section and scroll down a bit until you find it.

After that, you will need to insert 300 Ceramics, 300 Tubes, 300 Wolfram Wires, and 600 Data Points. You should already have all of these materials available, since they were used in commissions, so you will likely have a few hundred left over. Even if you do not, it will not take much time to make them. Once you have inserted all of the required materials, you will unlock the Inductor.

To make Inductors in the furnace, you will need Tubes, Ceramics, and Wolfram Wire. You only need 100 Inductors, so this step will not take much of your time. Once that is done, you will have almost everything you need to make the Intermediate Building Materials.

You will also need Titanium Housing, so get those ready as well. Once everything is prepared, head back to the Recipe Station and insert all of the required items. After doing so, you will unlock the Intermediate Building Materials.

Note

While you are making the rail near your new base, you may have noticed an entrance to a cave. If the Ruptura eventhappened during your stay at the new base, then the cave is worth exploring. It will not take much time, since the cave is pretty small, but you will find some useful materials there along with an LEM.

Exploring The Planet To Find More Mysteries

Note

Before heading out, empty your inventory and make sure you have over a thousand bullets. If you do not have a shotgun, I highly recommend unlocking one. A shotgun and a pistol make a good duo, so it will be much better for you if you get ambushed during exploration.

Head back to the new base you created. Do not go to the base directly, but stop when you are in the middle of the path between where you found the stabilizer blueprint and your base. From there, head north and keep moving past the Wolfram deposits. Eventually, you will run into some vermin.

Take Care Of The Vermin

vermin StarRupture

There are going to be a lot of them, so be careful while dealing with them. If they become overwhelming, take out your shotgun and go wild. Once you have cleaned up the vermin, continue heading north, and on the northeast side, you will notice a building.

That is where you need to go. As you get close to the destination, many more vermin will ambush you. Do note that there are going to be some evolved slashers that can deal much more damage. This is why I strongly recommend bringing your shotgun with you.

Entering Another Abandoned Outpost

evolved slashers StarRupture
Evolved slashers deal more damage and are a little more annoying to deal with.

Use your shotgun to take care of these evolved slashers, then deal with the sputters. There are going to be far too many enemies, so you will need to stay alert and fight carefully. Once you have defeated all of them, head to the right and go up the platform. Loot everything and do not leave a single rubble pile behind.

Once you are done, head down the platform to find a body containing some loot, including an LEM. In the building on the right side, you will find the blueprint for the tube. This part is a little confusing, as I had already found a tube blueprint earlier. It seems to have a different use, but for now, I am not entirely sure.

Collect The Highly Valuable Item

That said, the item you absolutely must pick up is right next to the blueprint, which is the Frame Memory Module. This item gives you a massive 7,000 data points, making it extremely valuable. You will also find some war bonds in the area, so be sure to collect them. There are also a few ore excavators around. Do not collect the ores from them, but you can take the building materials.

On the northeast side of the area, you will notice a giant engine. That is one of the failed creations of the higher-ups, which seems to be a major component of the StarRupture story. Exploring it at this point felt like a bad idea to me, as I was running low on ammo and there were far too many enemies nearby.

There are also a couple of geo scanners in the area, along with many different materials. Due to that, this seems like a very good place to set up a new base. However, that will be done in the next playthrough. With that, I conclude part three of my StarRupture walkthrough.
