The Ruin Guard is the final boss that you will encounter in the Moonlit Forest in Starsand Island. It’s quite a strong boss, so your weak weapons and ammo won’t do much damage to it. Our walkthrough will guide you on everything you need to beat it. To learn more about the game, check out the Steam page.

How To Defeat The Ruin Guard

Accept the Exper Explorer quest. Head to the Moonlit Forest, and from the Homeward Trail, you first need to make your way to Serenity’s Rest. From there, you need to traverse across narrow wooden pathways to reach Moonlight Meadow. You will find the Ruin Guard ahead. This is the toughest opponent you will face in Starsand Island.
You will not be able to defeat it with a mere slingshot with simple pellets. So you need to prepare beforehand, we highly recommend crafting the crossbow if you haven’t already. You also need enough arrows and bomb arrows to deal good damage.

You can hit it while the boss is gleaming during an attack with a bomb arrow to leave it immobile for some time. Generally, around 20 bomb arrows should be enough to take down the boss.
Be careful of its laser beam and cross-attack projectile; dodge when you are approached by these. The Ruin Guard will also grow flowers from the ground, but this attack is deadly, so just move faster with your rollerblades to dodge them. It will also do a rapid swirl attack, which can completely deplete your HP if you aren’t careful.
What To Do Next

Near the boss area, you will find an area with plenty of rare materials, including Spirit Fruits, Moonstones, Flamecore ores, and Aurorites. All of these can be used for advanced crafting. You can also find oilstones in the later areas of Moonlit Forest to craft fuel. There are also some rare fish you can catch in Moonlit Forest if you are trying to complete your encyclopedia.
You should also focus on getting the expert certificates for all other professions, as that will gradually unlock new features for you. Progressing through the rancher questline will eventually unlock beehives where you can keep bumble bees to get honey. You can also get the blueprint for the Breeding House and the Poultry Egg station to breed your animals.
You can also ride some of the livestock animals, such as the ostrich, horse, deer, and alpacas. Other than petting, feeding and brushing your animals, you can also build a music box to boost friendship further.

Riding animals is very soothing, but if you want to be cooler, you can purchase advanced vehicles such as the heavy bike or a car from Neona’s vehicle shop.
You previously built an aquarium, but you can also start keeping fish by building a fish pond after becoming a Junior Angler. You can also build larger aquariums as you progress in the Angler questline.

If you love fashion, you should also build the loom to craft fabric. You need colored animals, which you can get by breeding, to get the different colours of wool. You also need the sewing table to make clothes.
If your farmland is too small for you, you can expand it by increasing your title in Island Life. You will also be able to access Land of Cloudrest Lake and Windflute Island.
