Stonemachia – Navilia Walkthrough

As you reach the new area, Navilia, talk to Derasin. Once you are done, jump down from the right side of Derasin and you will find a chessboard that can be used to level up using the feathers you received from defeating the previous boss.
Ahead, you will find an NPC named Soldier Mouse, so talk to him and then continue forward. Heliade will block your path and forbid you from entering the city, so you will have to fight this enemy. This is going to be a relatively easy fight, so once you have defeated Heliade, enter the city.
Enter The City

Once you have entered the city, move ahead, take a right, enter the building, and Heliade will be waiting right in front of you. To the left of Heliade will be Barachiel, who helped us earlier by giving us access to the Altar of Behemoth. After you are done talking to the NPCs, head to the left side where you will encounter several enemies.
You can ignore them and continue progressing forward toward the next boss fight. As you enter the building ahead, a boss fight against Sculptural Downfall will begin.
Defeat Sculptural Downfall

The boss starts the fight with a roll attack that can be a little challenging to parry, but because it uses this move quite often, you will quickly get used to the timing. It also has several slash attacks and can perform a spinning slash where the sword hits you twice.
It also has a poke attack that comes with a follow up. After performing a poke attack with its sword, the boss jumps into the air and follows up with another poke attack. Sculptural Downfall can also attack using the shield it carries in its left hand. The shield attack is more delayed than most of the sword attacks, so be careful when attempting to react.
Also note that parrying the roll attack will not give you an opening to attack the boss. This is because the boss rolls backward after you successfully perform a parry. When that happens, immediately close the distance or it may simply perform another roll attack.

Another thing worth noting is that, instead of the roll attack, the boss can sometimes jump into the air and perform a slam attack. This is followed by an AoE attack that can be difficult to parry, so it is better to keep your distance whenever this happens.
Keep Making Your Way Ahead

After you have defeated the boss, the path ahead will be unlocked. Continue forward and you will find a chessboard. Use it to level up with the feathers you have just received and then follow the path ahead. Enter the area in front of you and you will arrive at one of those sections where you must defeat all enemies that appear in multiple waves.
Defeat The Enemies To Unlock The Path
The first wave consists of enemies you are already familiar with. Defeat them and then an enemy similar to Heliade will appear. Defeat it as well, and two more enemies will spawn. These enemies will often roll backward and immediately follow up with a poke attack.
This attack comes out quickly, so make sure you react in time. Once you have defeated these enemies, another similar foe will appear. This enemy is slightly more difficult to defeat. Watch out for the poke attacks, as it can perform them repeatedly and they are generally the easiest attacks to parry.

Build up your parry meter and then unleash the special attack on this enemy. Once it has been defeated, the path ahead will unlock. Move through the area and destroy the key. Doing so will unlock the path located to the right of the first chessboard.
Keep Progressing

Now continue forward, take a right, interact with the mechanism to open the gate, defeat the enemy, move ahead, take another right, and then take one more right. You need to enter the small opening located between the spots where the two enemies were standing. Head inside, climb the stairs, follow the path while defeating the enemies along the way, and then continue up another set of stairs.
Ride the elevator upward and an enemy similar to Sir Big Cherub will appear.
Defeat The Mini Boss
If you have already fought this boss before, you will be familiar with most of its moveset. However, do note that it has a few differences. Unlike the previous version, this one does not run away as often and prefers using the slam attack more frequently, along with the sword slam. It will also summon different enemies during the encounter.
Once you have defeated the enemy, head to the left side of the area to collect a Giant Feather and then jump down from the right side. Further north, you will encounter several stone enemies that will try to box with you. Simply parry their punches and they will go down with little effort.

The final one will be holding down a building with a chain, so attack it and then head left through the newly unlocked path. Along the way, you will find another Giant Feather. From there, continue ahead, take a right, cross the bridge, and you will arrive back at the first chessboard. Use the chessboard to level up, then head back the way you came, follow the path forward, and take a left to begin another boss fight.
Defeat Stone Lion

The first thing you need to keep in mind is that this boss has an AoE explosion attack that can be quite difficult to avoid. Whenever you see the Stone Lion roaring and notice a yellowish circular effect forming on the ground, that is your cue to dodge away immediately.
Another version of this AoE attack occurs when the boss enters a stance with its sword raised and lets out a roar. When that happens, create as much distance as possible. Aside from that, the boss can perform a slash attack with its right fangs and a sword slash using the weapon in its left hand.
When the boss performs a backflip to create distance, its tail gains a hitbox, so make sure to either dodge or parry if you are within range. Also note that when it uses the first version of the AoE attack, it can follow up with a bite attack. If you remain inside the explosion, you may take significant damage from both attacks. The boss can also follow up very quickly after the explosion, so staying out of range is usually the safer option.
Second Phase

After you have removed roughly 50 percent of the boss’s health, the second phase will begin. A Stonebook will join the fight and start attacking from a distance. It can perform both laser attacks and AoE attacks. The laser can either be a single beam or a multi-beam attack.
You will be targeted first before the attack is launched, making it fairly easy to dodge. Similarly, you will be able to see exactly where the AoE explosion is going to land, which also makes it relatively easy to avoid. However, keep in mind that the Stone Lion will continue attacking throughout this phase, so try to maintain a safe distance whenever possible.
Attacking the Stone book will also damage the Stone Lion, making it the better target to focus on. Also note that the Stone book can perform a slam attack if you stay close to it. Once you have defeated it, the path ahead will unlock, but it does not appear to lead anywhere important. At this point, it is time to begin exploring more of the area.
Exploring Navilia Further

Remember the path you unlocked on the right side of the first chessboard? Head there and go up the stairs to find an item. Then climb out through the window, continue forward, follow the path to the right, take the elevator up, and head left to find a vinyl. As soon as you pick it up, the hand holding the platform will collapse and you will fall down.
So, make your way back up once again. This time, instead of heading right, go left from the wooden platform. Continue forward, drop down, and you will see several enemies on the right side. They will not attack you, but you have to attack them to cut in line. So attack everyone and when they are defeated, talk to the NPC sitting on the counter and the door for you will be unlocked. Then, simply go through the red fog gate.

You need to head north, but the path will be locked. To unlock it, explore every room in the area and destroy all of the black matter you see. It will be in the hallway, too. Once you have cleared the area, go through the door, approach the painting, interact with it, and a boss fight will begin.
Defeat Fresco

Fresco has a strange and somewhat clunky moveset, making its attacks a little difficult to parry at first. However, if you stay calm and avoid panic parrying, you will be able to land perfect parries consistently. Do note that almost all of its attacks come with follow ups, so always be prepared for an additional strike.
The boss also has an attack where it repeatedly swings its sword several times in succession. Parry the attack to stop the combo. After you have removed a portion of its health, the boss will become painted black and its movement will no longer feel clunky. At this point, the fight becomes much more aggressive, as Fresco is significantly faster and gives you very little room to breathe.

However, in this phase, you will be able to see its attacks much more clearly. Just be careful of the follow ups because Fresco rarely performs a single isolated attack. When you see a green glow surrounding the boss, it is usually safer to dodge the incoming lunge attack unless you are completely confident in your parry timing.
Parrying the attack itself is not particularly difficult, but missing the timing can result in taking a large amount of damage. Once you have defeated the boss, return to Navilia.
Destroy The Key To Unlock The Path

Now head north, destroy the key, and the path ahead will be unlocked. Do note that you have already been here before, so this serves more as a shortcut back to the previous area. At this point, you need to reach the ship in order to access the next area. To do that, head north from the shortcut you just unlocked and continue following the path ahead.
Move through the area, keeping slightly to the right while continuing north. Then head right to find an NPC named Captain. Speak to him and he will take you to a ship. Inside the ship, at the very end, you will find a painting. Jump inside it and you will arrive in a new area.
View Of The Sanctuary

Once you arrive in the new area, continue forward and you will find a chessboard. Use your feathers and consider returning to the main hub to unlock any upgrades that are still available because the next boss can be quite challenging. Once you are fully prepared, continue forward and the boss fight will begin.
Defeat Sculpted Dragon

The boss primarily uses its head and tail to attack. One thing to keep in mind is that whenever the boss moves its head to the side, it is usually preparing a head attack. This can be a little confusing because it often charges its tail at the same time, making it look as though the tail is about to be the main weapon.
The tail does appear to have a hitbox if you are standing close to the dragon when it swings near its body, but the primary attack itself comes from the head. Aside from that, the boss can also attack using its legs, although the animation for these attacks can look a little goofy.
When the boss jumps backward, it will often leap toward you with a slam attack. It usually performs this move twice in a row, so be ready for the follow up. After you have removed a portion of its health, the boss gains several new attacks. One of these attacks has the dragon fly into the air before performing a powerful slam. It will position itself directly above you and then crash down onto the ground.
Second Phase

You will need to learn the timing of this attack in order to dodge or parry it consistently. There is also another attack where it summons structures and then shoots dark blue orbs. The dragon also gains another move where it leans to one side before attacking with its head. This attack is immediately followed by a sword strike, after which the dragon spins around and attempts to hit you with a bite attack.
It also gains a new ranged attack where the dragon fires several blue fireballs. Once you have defeated the boss, the building in the center of the area will become accessible. Head there to obtain a Feral Forage and then interact with the water to reach a new location.
With that, the walkthrough of the sixth area in Stonemachia, Navilia comes to an end.
