Styx: Blades Of Greed Walkthrough – A Way through the Wall

Welcome to our walkthrough from Styx: Blades of Greed. In this part of the walkthrough we escape the wall by rescuing the dwarf captain Irving and the dwarf engineer Jasper



Helledryn’s Mission

Reach the mines

Talk to Helledryn before heading off to find the captain. Go out to the right and drop down the rope. Use Amber vision to highlight the switch to open the door.

Open the door and look through the keyhole of the next locked door. You don’t have a lockpick, so enter through the small opening in the bottom right corner. In the passageway, turn off the torches to hide better.

Pay a visit to the Gang in the Mine

There are miners in the next room here, so stick to the darkness as you move across to the front. Open the door and go through. In the next room, you will learn about stealth kills/stabs.

Try it out and hide the bodies. Go through the next room but check the keyhole before entering the room, which is good practice for this game. Go down the stairs and take cover behind the barrel. Stealh takedown the miner coming towards you. Hide the body and then take the opening on the left.

Go out the other end and hide behind the three barrels and learn how to roll between covers. Roll between the covers here to get behind the guard resting on the low wall.

Jump over the wall and take out the other guard now. Head to the left and vault over the walls here, behind the workers. Next roll from cover to cover to avoid the guard. Go up the stairs and take out the light on the wall with sand.

Do the same to the torch on the right of the next corridor and take out the guard once he goes to check the torch. Hide the body and open the door on the left. Look up to the top right corner.

Climb up and go through the opening. Air stab the guard underneath and then take the other one out as well. Pull the lever and go through. Turn to the right and go up the stairs. Jump on to the plank on the right from the balcony. Double jump to the small opening on the left. In the next room, drop down onto the carpet. There is a sleeping guard here and a guard on watch. Take them both out, watch for the stools while moving.

Once that’s done, exit through the door on the left. Pick up the health flash and go left.

Steal the gang’s relic

Steal the relic from the table. Kill the guard the comes in.

Leave the mines

Go up the stairs and you will find a guard blocking your exit. Use the bolt to take him out and exit the room. Pick up the Amber flash and use Invisibility to drop down. Take the left path out to find the exit. This will complete Helldryn’s Mission.

A Way through the Wall

Reach the Wailing Widow tavern

You will now notice that the tavern is to your left, so jump across the platforms. Climb up the blue platform on the ship. Then the hanging platform.

Climb up the rope on the hanging platform and jump over. Drop down the stairs and jump over to the house. Sneak through the house by going downstairs and through to the other side. Use the table to hide under and sneak through. On the other side of the house, is a dock area. Hide behind the logs. There are multiple ways you can clear this area.

Hide in the grate on the right and follow it to the end and get out. This will allow you to bypass all the guards here. Go down the stairs and you will find two guards here. There is a narrow hole in the wall on the left. Take that.

Go into the basement of the tavern from here. Take out the first guard on the left and hide his body in the chest behind.

There is a guard on the right that is patrolling, so if you don’t take this one out you need to move fast and if you do take this one out, you have to be fast. Be fast, either way. Use the tables lining the room to get near the stairs.

Go up the stairs and pull the lever near the large cask.

Inside the cask is a secret room with loot. Head back out and up the stairs.

Find the Dwarf Captain’s Bedroom

Turn around to the back and you will hear the innkeeper. On the left of the stairs leading upstairs you will see some thugs looking for the Dwarf. You can drop the chandelier on them by unhooking the chain.

Go under the stairs and out the other side. Hide under the table with the casks and keep moving. There is one other guard here at the back of the room, but as long as you keep under the tables you will be fine. On the other side of the stairs you will find a window.

Take this window out to the ledge and climb up. You will find a balcony on the left. You can see a guard leaning on a cupboard through a window. Go in and take the door on the right. Go up the stairs.

Go up the stairs and you will see another guard moving on the far side. So turn to the left and hide in the barrel. Once the guard passes you, jump out and pickpocket a lockpick off him.

Use the lock pick to unlock the door at the end of the hall. Pick up the loot off the table and head out the window. Go around the right corner and head in through the window. Sneak past the sleeping guard and check the next room. Sneak past the two guards and into the balcony.

From the balcony, head to the right and double jump over to the hanging platform. On the right is a door, and you can climb up the boxes to the upper ledge. There is a sleeping guard here. Pickpocket him for a lockpick and go around him and down the stairs.

Open the door and go in. This will trigger a cutscene with the dwarf captain, Irving.

Use the tavern balloon station to reach the Zepellin’s docks

There is a window out of the bedroom, take it to get outside the building. Climb up the side of the wall and past the chimney and you will be in the open dining area of the tavern roof. On the left is the balloon station.

You can also use this point as a fast travel point. Take the balloon to the zeppelin.

Reach Irving’s Zepellin

Head to the left past the balloon station and up the broken stairs. Once you reach the top you will notice multiple threats.

Sneak past the guard on the left and head up the stairs. Make your way up till you reach the bell tower. Go across the opening in the floor and jump down the other side and you will see the objective and a glowing chain holding the zeppelin in place. Getting close it triggers a cutscene.

You see the key needed to unlock the zeppelin around the neck of a guard.

Find the chest room

On the left of the lock you can see a path leading to the chest room. Once inside the room go up the stairs on the right, past the fancy mine cart.

Go up the longer set of stairs on the right. There will be a patrolling and a stationed guard on the left. Go around the corner and you can see a tunnel on the left/right depending on your view.

You will be on a walk way overlooking the target zone. Break the chains holding the box up here to take out both guards down below. Wait till both of them are in range.

There are two guards behind you – one stationary and one patrolling. Take out the stationary one when the patrol passes him. And then take out the one when he gets to your right, near the cupboards.

Hide both bodies. Now head through the door on the left of the cupboards where you killed the second guard.

In this room, pick up the loot and head down the rope to get into the chest room.

Search the Chest

Pick up all the loot scattered around and finally check the chest. Watch the cutscene play out and meet Jasper.

Free the way to the Zeppelin

So, now you have two options you can either take out the 8 enemies in this place to secure the area  or create a diversion. Creating a diversion will probably be easier.

Climb up the rope back to the room on top. On the left is a gate that can be lifted with a rolling switch. Use that to get out.

Head up the stairs on the left. Watch out for the patrolling guard and go through the small tunnel. You are back at the bell tower. There are stairs leading up on the right.

You will find a guard infront of the door here.

Take him out and go in. Check the keyhole first and wait because there is another guard inside. Alternatively, you can go up top and drop through the ceiling like we did the first time. Pull the lever to get the bell going.

Talk to the fugitive dwarf

Head back to the chest room. Talk to Jasper.

Escort Jasper

Escort/follow Jasper to the Zeppelin.

Reach Jasper on the Zeppelin

Watch the cutscene.

Secure the Airstation

You should now have unlocked your upgrade tree. Use your talent point as you see fit. You need to take out 7 enemies to secure the Airstation. Climb up the rope on the left and front of the ship. Jump over from the left side of the ship to the airstation.

Craft a lockpick if you don’t have one and go through the door on the left. There is a guard on the right once you get inside. Take him out and hide the body in the wardrobe. Climb up the wardrobe and go up. Go out to the front on the small ledge. You can see the big enemy down there. You can jump and stab him to death or you can use bolts on him. You need to use two bolts on him. If you want to, you can poison the drinking bucket as well – the one he is using to quench his thirst. This will take longer.

You can’t move this body so make sure you have acid on you, if you want to hide the body. Around the corner to the left you can see two more guards down below. You should be at 2 of 7 right now.

There are 4 enemies down there pretty close by, without counting the blacksmith. You can use the small grilled off pathway to stay hidden and scope the area out. There is an entrance point near where the smith is. Follow the patrolling guard around and take him out once he is isolated.

There are two guards that walk together that you can ‘t take out now. But there is a single guard with his back turned to you that you can take out once the double guards pass you by.

For the two guards patrolling together you need to pop up behind them and take the back guard out first.

Now take out the other one. Finally, take out the smith. Next, pull the bridge down and watch the cutscene.
