Entering Seikyu

Tales of Seikyu Prologue
Kon And The Protagonist Heading Towards Seikyu.

After selecting the difficulty of your choice and creating a character, we begin our expedition to the island of Seikyu with our fox companion: Kon.

She will ask for treats, and you will be presented with three dialog options; select any of them. Continue the conversation with her, which later reveals the true reason for your expedition to the island: Finding the reason behind Mom and Dad’s disappearance.

Kon and The Protagonist Talking.

They discuss Seikyu further and finally arrive at its docks. There, a Sea Otter named Seabert will ask you for your name and birth date. Once finalized, Seikyu’s Mayor, Yui Oda, will arrive to greet you. Since Kon is hungry, she asks for a cake, but I personally asked her to remain polite.

Tales of Seikyu Prologue
Seabert Welcoming The New Residents.

Mayor Oda doesn’t mind and reveals that she has baked a strawberry cake. With that, Mayor Oda tells us more about Seikyu, which historically was a fox village, and every resident is excited to greet the first foxes in a long time.

Mayor Oda.

If you ask her about what happened to the foxes before, she says that she doesn’t know anything about it. And from here, you are now free to control your character. Talk to Mayor Oda to start your first quest.

Tales of Seikyu Prologue
Torleone: The Fish Shop Owner And Seabert’s Uncle.

Follow her to the fish market, and talk to Torleone, the market’s owner. He’s Seabert’s uncle. Torleone will ask about fishing, but since you don’t have the experience, he invites you to his shop; visit it at your leisure.

Continue following Mayor Oda to the residence, and before you can enter it, a resident named Ritsuryo will stop you. While the Mayor tells him to stop, he asks you to battle against Daruma.

Tales of Seikyu Prologue
Ritsuryo Challenging The Protagonist.

So, you will receive a Yokai Wooden Sword for practice. Then, follow the instructions on the screen to the right, and attack Daruma. Ritsuryo, or Ritsu for short, will be honored and will reward you with a Ninja Bubble Soda.

After that, follow Mayor Oda to the shopping street, and she’ll show you Miss Ama’s Tailor Shop and Sasaki’s Furniture Studio. Now, she will ask you to talk to four more residents of the island, and she leaves.

Tales of Seikyu Prologue
Attacking The Daruma Doll.

Outside the Tailor Shop, talk to Shuten, who serves as the soon-to-be owner of Shuten’s Tavern. She asks about Ritsu and Daruma, and instantly recognizes you and Kon, welcoming you to the island. The conversation will end, and she will leave; it increases the first quarter of her hearts, increasing your relationship with her.

Shuten.

Look right and descend the staircase to find Sasaki; he will greet you. It seems the protagonist and Kon are already famous. He reveals that he was an orphan, adopted by the previous owner of the furniture shop.

Sasaki.

Next, follow the road ahead to find the last two town residents.

They are Anna and Kababa. This conversation reveals that Kon is actually the protagonist’s sister, but they’re in a humanoid form. Kababa reveals her plan to create Seikyu Casino on the land she has just bought, and Anna is currently giving a demo as a waitress.

Anna And Kababa.

Kon appreciates Anna’s style, and Kababa asks if they can have a conversation after Kon and the protagonist settle in. Once you have talked with four residents, follow the question mark on the map to find Mayor Oda.

She’ll apologize for stepping away and congratulate you for making numerous friends in the town. The first quest will end here.

Dream Home – Quest Walkthrough

Kon Asking About Her New Home.

Before dropping you off at your home, Mayor Oda will take you to the Fox Shrine to pay your respects. Follow her across the bridge and turn left to find it. Pay respects to rejuvenate the Seikyu Town shrine, and then talk with the Fox Ancestor.

A Fox Shrine.

They ask the protagonist to try channeling their inner power to transform into a fox, but instead they turn into a Wild Boar. Despite not transforming into a Fox, the ancestors say it is something, and congratulate them. So, they turn into a human again, and they tell the protagonist to pay respect at all the shrines throughout Seikyu.

The Fox Ancestors.

Now, follow Mayor Oda to your farmhouse. Press M to see the whole map, and defeat any monster in your path. After reaching the farmhouse, talk to Musashi, a cat yokai, and he will transform into a human. He will congratulate you for owning a home, and reveal that he’s the owner of a general store in Seikyu.

Fighting A Monster.

See the box outside the farmhouse? Put anything you’d like inside, and Musashi will come and buy it in the morning. After he leaves, head inside the farmhouse, and Kon will name it. However, there’s only one bed in the farmhouse.

Musashi, The Cat Yokai.

To make another bed, head outside and collect Thatch, which is a tall grass you can find all over Seikyu. Most of the area outside your home is covered with monsters and slimes. Defeating them isn’t mandatory, but it gives you experience points, which help you level up your character.

Placing A Thatch Bed.

After collecting ten of them, press B to open the crafting menu and craft the Thatch Bed. Return to the farmhouse and place it anywhere you’d like.

With that, sleep to end the first day.

And here, our Tales of Sekiyu Prologue walkthrough comes to an end.
