Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Thank You for Your Application.
Thank You For Your Application is a narrative-driven simulation game that puts you on the other side of the hiring process. Set in the dystopian city of Aeropolis, you play as a recent graduate who, after failing countless job interviews, is reassigned as a junior interviewer for the city’s largest corporation.
As you review resumes, interview candidates, and make difficult hiring decisions, you’ll uncover the company’s secrets while trying to survive the pressures of corporate life.
This walkthrough will guide you through every chapter, choice, and ending, helping you navigate the game’s branching story and uncover everything it has to offer.

This gameplay walkthrough was played in Subsidy mode, which gives you 30P every day to spend on resources and removes the time barrier during interviews, letting you focus on the story. Regardless we will talk about the mechanics underlying the game.

For the Tutorial Section, read the News, Bulletin, Work Manual and Knowledge Base (its locked beyond Lv. 1) before holding the clock in button on the the Start Work section.

Once you do that, you will find your workstation. Breaking it down by sections –
On the top left corner, pressing the ‘Call Next‘ button will call the next interviewee.

Below it is a small monitor where you can see the interviewee, and below that is the green folder, the Interview Pass Folder, and the clock. Whichever applications you pass will go in this green tray.

On the right-hand side, you can find the School Reference Table.

The Company Reference Tab is next.

The Job Requirements tab is the next one. It shows the requirements to pass or fail candidates.

Below that is the red folder or the Interview Reject Folder, where you can drag applications that don’t meet the job requirements.
When you’re ready, press the call now button to bring in the next candidate. A01, a supervisor of sorts will show up to explain the basic mechanics of the game. He will tell you what the requirements of hiring candidates for this round is.

The requirements are that the candidates must provide a resume, and only graduates of the University of Aeropolis will be considered.
Drag A01’s resume onto the desk and check. He meets both criteria of providing a resume and being a graduate of University of Aeropolis.
So, drag his resume to the green folder on the left. He will also tell you that you can interview candidates till 18:00 and no more. Drag it to the folder and click on the folder again to confirm.
Wrong decisions will incur fines but up to two fines are waived in a day.

Call in the candidates. Check if they match the criteria and decide accordingly. For example, this man E73 went to Minato Community College so he fails to pass. Drag him to the red folder.

Since these are randomized interviews, we can’t provide a candidate-by-candidate walkthrough.
Clock out once you are done. You will receive a daily report.

You will now head home to your apartment. Once there, open the Apartment Guide and learn the basics of paying Bills, using the Store, checking your mail etc.
For bills the most important thing to notice is their due date. Speak to A02 if you want to, otherwise check your bills and you will see two outstanding ones – Rent and Temporary Residence Fee.
You can only pay the Temporary Residence Fee for now so pay that. Click on the mattress on the floor and it will ask if you want to rest. Select yes. This will end Day 1.
