Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Thank You for Your Application.
Thank You For Your Application is a narrative-driven simulation game that puts you on the other side of the hiring process. Set in the dystopian city of Aeropolis, you play as a recent graduate who, after failing countless job interviews, is reassigned as a junior interviewer for the city’s largest corporation.
As you review resumes, interview candidates, and make difficult hiring decisions, you’ll uncover the company’s secrets while trying to survive the pressures of corporate life.
This walkthrough will guide you through every chapter, choice, and ending, helping you navigate the game’s branching story and uncover everything it has to offer.

Day 2
Day 2 begins the same as Day 1. Clock in by holding the button down. You will notice the criteria for today’s interviews. Specifically, each rejection must go with a Thanks letter.
To generate a thanks letter, select which criteria the candidate is missing and then press the generate button at the bottom right. Drag the sticker that will be printed on to the application.
As for the requirements for today –
- Candidates must provide a resume
- Non-local graduates must provide a graduation certificate.
Two things to keep in mind – anyone not from an Aeropolis-affiliated institution, so make sure they have a graduation certificate. Second thing to keep in mind, check the names on the Resume and graduation certificate, they need to match. Generate a Thanks letter and reject both conditions.
Examples below.
The example below is an Approved Application. Fits all criteria, has resume and is a graduate from an Aeropolis institute.
In the example below, the name doesn’t match. So select both names on both documents and generate a Thanks letter before rejecting.
Rejection because missing Graduation Certficate.
Accepted because fits all criteria and name matches.
Clock out once you are done for the day. Back home, you should have enough credits to pay off the remaining bills.
Go to bed once that’s done.
Day 3
Today’s requirements are
- Candidates must provide a resume
- Non-local graduates must provide a graduation certificate.
- At Least 1 internship or work experience is required.
If the application doesn’t match any of these 3 requirements and/or there are other discrepancies, generate a thank you letter and reject them.
Clock in and call the first candidate. A01 will add an extra layer of checking. You have to check for forged documents. So the school stamps need to match on the graduation certificates.
Examples below.
Approved application. Matches all 3 criteria.
Denied because it’s missing work experience.
Approved as everything matches including name and school stamp.
Once you are done, there will be an incident at the office. Regardless you will return home.
You shouldn’t have any bills to pay, so go to the store and buy the Commemorative Employee Badge.
Click on A02 and verify the badge. This will unlock more items in the shop.
Check your mail. Your mom wants to send you a scarf. There is a calendar waiting for you as an onboarding gift.
You could pay a 10p ransom or send 50p to your sister for either a Job Hunting Support pack or a concert ticket. I sent her money for a concert ticket.
Go to bed and end the night.
