Chapter 7: Rogue Hypothesis

General Tips for Chapter 7

The overarching goal of Chapter 7 is to uncover what Roth is planning.

There are many clues to find, in the form of inventory items and topics of conversation. The action may progress after a seemingly random collection of things happen, so returning to places you have visited before is essential.

The best way to experience Chapter 7 is to explore, gather items, talk to everyone about everything, solve smaller puzzles along the way, even if you’re not immediately sure what impact you’re having, and let a bigger picture emerge over time.

Where are all the characters?

These are the characters in Chapter 7, and where to find them.

• Annie, your sister, is (almost always) found in her room, on level 3.
• Angela Grace, the reporter, is found in the cafeteria, on level 2.
• Hara, the detective, is (almost always) found in the garage, on the top floor. If he is not in the garage, follow hints for Hara is not in the garage.
• Roth is first found in his room, on level 3, and then in the accelerator lab, on level 4.
• Klein is either found in the reactor room, on the bottom floor, or in the accelerator lab, on level 4.
• Sanjay is found in the interface lab, on level 4.

There is also a secret character. (You will know them when you find them.)

What about the map of the facilities?

The Trinity Biotech facility consists of 4 levels and the reactor. Make sure to walk left and right on all levels, to find everything.

What do I do first?

Once you have control, speak to Roth, Hara and Annie. Keep talking to Roth about all the topics and then Annie will take you out of the room.

Where do I go?

Annie will show you around. Follow her to the lift and then to the canteen. Speak to Angela once Annie leaves.

Take a ticket from the food dispense but don’t redeem it. Keep it in your inventory. Once the conversation is done head to the top floor, via the lift.

What do I do at the top of the facility?

Pick up the screwdriver from the back of the trailer.

Check the elevator control. Go up the stairs and come back down to talk to Hara. Exhaust all options. If you choose the Roth topic of conversation, Hara will tell you he is considering ‘means, motive and opportunity’, as he wonders what Roth might be planning. From time to time, make sure to return to the garage and discuss newly revealed topics of conversation with him to build a picture of Roth’s guilt.

You also need to find a can of fuel.

Who do I talk to after Hara?

Go to level 3 to talk to Annie. Use the access card to get in. It’s a good idea to try every topic of conversation, to be sure you haven’t missed anything.

She will tell you Sanjay might know where a can of fuel might be.

Who do I talk to after Annie?

Dr Roth, who is in his room, on level 3. (At the beginning of the chapter. Later he will be in the accelerator lab, on level 4.) But first, pick up the coat hanger from the room next to Annie’s. It’s in the wardrobe.

Next to that you will find some wet footprints leading directly into the wall. Inspect it to find a crack.

Use the screwdriver on it to expose a keypad.

Nothing to do for now, go speak to Roth. Roth’s room is next to the lift.

Exhaust all options with him.

Who do I talk to after Dr. Roth?

Go visit Angela at the cafeteria on the 2^nd floor. You will see Bill’s apparition. If you follow him into the unoccupied room next to Angela’s room – you will have moved to the Lab floor when you exit. If you go back into the “Interface Lab” you will meet Sanjay. You can talk to him, but this walkthrough is the optimal path.

If you exit the Interface Lab and head to the lift, you will see Alec. Go to the cafeteria now. Tell her about the hidden door.

Who do I talk to after Angela?

Klein, who is in the reactor room, on the bottom floor. (At the beginning of the chapter. Later he will be in the accelerator lab, on level 4.) Go to the right, past Klein and use the Geiger Counter in your inventory.

Now, go talk to Klein. You will learn that your Geiger counter is busted. Open it up with the screwdriver and show the component to Klein.

He will ask you to go talk to Sanjay. Check the left side of the room for the back up generator.

Who do I talk to after Klein?

Sanjay, who is in the interface lab, on level 4. Once you get there, you will have another hallucination. Inspect everything and you will notice that there is a slot in the quantum coupler.

Keep going to the left and inspect the Accelerator lab.

Go back and speak to Sanjay. You will find out you need to talk to Klein about the fuel and you need to find a neural interface visor to fix your Geiger counter.

What do I do after speaking to everyone?

Go to Annie’s room. There is a compact on the floor. Talk to Annie about any new topics you have.

Head to the garage on the top floor and use the screwdriver on the coffee sacks on the floor. Grab a handful of coffee beans.

Talk to Hara and head to the Cafeteria. Use the coffee machine at the back to make fine powder and store it in Annie’s compact.

Go back to the secret panel on the 3^rd floor. Use the compact to brush over the keypad.

Go back to the garage, talk to Hara and come back down here. Check the keypad again and you can now automatically enter the room. Check the medical cart on the right for pair of forceps. Remove the curtains to find a comatose woman.

What do I do after I found the comatose woman?

Go talk to Angela in the cafeteria.

What do I do with the picture I got from Angela?

First go down to the reactor. Klein is gone so check the lockers.

Get the packet of gum and head to the Accelerator lab. Speak to Roth and Klein. Klein will ask you to help him plug up a leak on the level 3 corridor. More importantly, Roth’s coat is next to Klein. We need to get him out of the lab.

Go to the sensor in the interface lab and hold the sensor down with the gum you picked up earlier.

Exit this lab, go out to the corridor and enter the accelerator lab from the outside. Steal the keycard from Roth’s coat.

What do I do with Roth’s Keycard?

Head to level 3. Go to the leaking pipe, next to the woman’s room. Use the gum on it to fix it.

Now, enter Roth’s room. Check the shelf near the wardrobe to find the full polaroid.

Now go to the toilet. Remove the shower curtain.

You will find Hara here. Use the forceps you picked up from the unconscious woman’s room on the hangar you picked up earlier from the unoccupied room to make a straight wire hook.

Inspect the mask that drops down, you need something sharp to cut it down.

How do I cut down the mask?

Go talk to Annie. Swap your meal ticket with her ticket for steak. Go back to the cafeteria and redeem the ticket. The meal comes with a knife.

Go back to Roth’s toilet and cut down the mask.

What do I do with the mask?

Show it to Sanjay. And then Klein. Klein will also tell you the location of the tank of fuel. They will both tell you it’s a gas mask. Use the screwdriver to open it up. You will get the component to fix your Geiger counter.

Where is the fuel?

After you fix the leak in the 3^rd floor corridor with gum and tell Klein, he tells you to go to the backup generator in the reactor room to find the fuel. You need to test the Geiger counter as well. So go there.

Check the Geiger counter on this side (surprising reading) and then go over to the other side and check that one too.

How do I save Annie?

You can’t. She will die. But after, Roth will give you the option to go back in time to save Annie. Use the neural coupler to save Annie.

She will ask you to meet in the Interface room.

What do I do with the photo?

Go to the comatose woman’s room and use the photo on her. She’s Roth’s wife. Go speak to Roth in the Accelerator lab.

What do I do next?

Go speak to Annie in the interface lab. Show Sanjay the gas mask, he will tell you its an neural interface. Go back and talk to her again. Then grab the cartridge from Sanjay. Insert the cartridge in the center console.

Use the bed to allow Annie to complete her process.

What do I do after Annie’s process?

Go to the reactor and take readings on the other side now. Find Klein and ask him about the radiation reading.

What should I do next?

You should have all the needed information for Hara. Go to the garage on the top floor and speak to him. Once you have put everything together go find Annie. This will end the Chapter.
