The House of Tesla Walkthrough – Wardenclyffe Gateway House (Part 2)

Welcome to the final chapter of our walkthrough for The House of Tesla. This walkthrough covers the second section of the Wardenclyffe Gateway House.

In the last part, we solved all the puzzles in the kids’ room to get our hands on the Jester Puppet Key. This key gave us access to the kitchen. Let’s see what other puzzles await us before we reach the end credits of the game.

The Kitchen

Open the door to the kitchen and head inside. Take a closer look at the wooden board on the table first.

You can move the two blocks at the bottom using the two buttons at the base of the board. You can also use the lever on the right to push the blocks upwards, connecting with the blocks above them. If they align properly, you can move them along with the blocks that you can control. Think of this puzzle as a reverse Tetris.

The top-most blocks have some silver sections.

Your goal is to connect the silver sections of all the pieces together.

This puzzle is pretty self-explanatory and shouldn’t take too long for you to crack. Once you solve it, a hidden door opens at the top of the board. Pick up the Metal Pear.

Back away from the board and turn right. Head toward the countertop by the window and take a closer look at the device on top of it.

You can spot a bubble level attached to one of the rings. Press and hold the mouse button and try to get the bubble inside the bubble level between the two lines.

Press one of the buttons below the rings to rotate it. Make sure the bubble is placed between the two lines across all three rings.

Once you do that, the top of the device opens. Place the Metal Pear in the slot. Rotate it.

This opens a panel at the bottom part of the device. Take a closer look at it.

The 4×4 grid contains tiles with different parts of different symbols. You can move four pieces along the grid. The pieces you move also have some symbols attached to them. Placing them over the correct grid completes the symbol in them.

Also note the symbol of a key and an open lock below the grid. You need to complete these symbols on the grid to solve this puzzle.

Start by placing the left-most section of the large blue piece on the second row of the second column. Then place the long side of the large red piece along the third column. Finally, place the small red piece along the first column. Check the image above for reference.

When you solve the puzzle, the device opens up. Pick up the Fork. Also note the slot that’s shaped like a spoon.

Back away from the device and turn left. You’ll spot a green cabinet beside the window with its drawer open. Head towards it.

The Green Cabinet

The drawer has a slot cut out for a fork. Place the Fork you just picked up in the slot.

As it slots into place, the door closes. You can now rotate the four strips on the cabinet.

Rotate the strips to form the picture of a fruit tree. The image above shows you how it should look.

You’ll hear a click, and two metal pieces on both sides of the door will shift slightly. You can now rotate the four pieces. Your goal is to rotate them so that they look close to the fruits shown in the panel next to them.

So the piece on the top right should look like an apple, the bottom-right one should look like a pear, the top left one should look like a banana, and the one on the bottom left should resemble grapes.

The above images show you how the pieces should be set up on the left and right sides of the cabinet, respectively.

This causes the ladder right next to the cabinet to move to the side. Get on it to find a coffee machine.

The Coffee Machine

Take a closer look at the coffee machine. First, move the plate on the left section to the center of the machine.

Then pull the small component out onto the plate. This opens a panel at the top. Inspect it.

You’ll see a puzzle involving two marbles on a grid. You can only move the marble on the left side. But moving the marble on the left also moves the marble on the right behind the glass. Your goal is to guide the marbles so that both of them reach the exit point at the bottom of the grid simultaneously.

Start by moving the marble on the left, all the way to the top. You’ll see a short cutscene of a tab locking the plate on the coffee machine in place.

After that, move the marble on the left along the path mentioned below:

1 tile down
1 tile right
2 tile down
1 tile left
1 tile down
1 tile right
2 tile up
1 tile down
1 tile left
2 tile down

Solving the puzzle disables the locks on the coffee machine, allowing you to move the plate freely. Drag the small component back towards the center of the coffee machine and move the plate to the right side.

Rotate the white valve and pull the lever. The coffee machine will place a coffee cup on the plate. Pick up the Coffee Cup.

Go back down the ladder and look behind you. You’ll spot a coaster on the center table. Place the Coffee Cup on the coaster.

It’ll sink inside the table, and a drawer will open. There’s a device inside the drawer. Take a closer look at it.

This is a simple puzzle involving six magnets. You’ll notice three of the magnets are colored orange, while the other three are colored blue. There’s a blue and an orange line on the disc. To solve the puzzle, simply connect the three same-colored magnets and place them on their corresponding colored line.

What makes things complicated is that the blue and the orange magnets repel each other. You’ll also see colored nodes on the disc that can repel or attract the magnets.

Mechanically, the puzzle is easy to understand, and you’ll be able to figure it out without any issues.

Once solved, the front panel of the device will open. Pick up the Strangely Shaped Knife inside the container.

The Knife Puzzle

After collecting the knife, look at the left side of the green cabinet. You’ll notice a small handle. Pull the handle to find a knife-sharpening machine.

Insert the Strangely Shaped Knife into the empty slot at the top. Drag the top panel down to reveal the inside of the machine.

The first thing you’ll notice is that each of the knives in the machine has a very weird shape. When you try to rotate the crank, you’ll also note that it gets blocked by the knives.

Use the handles at the top to lift the top panel of the machine. You can now inspect the top part of the machine to rearrange the position of the knives. It’s pretty obvious what you have to do to solve the puzzle: rearrange the knives so that the crank can be turned smoothly.

Note that each of the knives has a different marking on the handle. We’ll number them as shown in the image above to make the next step easier.

Now, rearrange the knives so that:

Knife no. 1 goes in the middle slot.
Knife no. 2 goes in the slot on the right.
Knife no. 3 goes in the slot on the left.

Reseat the top panel of the machine and rotate the crank a few turns. A Teaspoon will fall out of the device. Pick it up.

Return to the device where you found the Fork and place the Teaspoon in the proper slot. Click on the ring of the device to collect the Metal Ring.

Head to the center table and take a closer look at the glass dome.

Pressing the button lifts the glass, but also hides the key under the table.

Use the Gold Ring that you just picked up on the table. The key comes out of the table.

Pick it up to collect the Nutcracker Key and head towards the main door. Place the Nutcracker Key in the center keyhole to create an additional panel that you can rotate.

The idea is the same as before. Use the panels to point at the symbols shown in the section above the disc. The image above shows you the correct placement for this puzzle.

Cracking this puzzle opens a locked door upstairs. Head upstairs and through the door to enter the living room.

The Living Room

As soon as you enter the living room, you’ll spot a chessboard on a small table. Take a closer look at it.

Placing the queen piece on different tiles raises the tile. The sides of the tile also show a specific direction.

Moving the piece to the tile above unlocks the red button on the right. Press the button.

The table flips over, revealing a new type of chess puzzle. This puzzle is linked directly to the locked box behind the board.

The chessboard has four blocks with different numbers on them. There are four pieces that you can move around: the King, Bishop, Knight, and Rook. When you place a piece that attacks a numbered tile, it goes down by one number. Your goal is to get all the numbered tiles down to zero.

Check the image above for the correct placement of the pieces to solve this puzzle.

Take a closer look at the box behind the chessboard. Pick up the One Cent.

Back away from the chessboard and turn left. You’ll notice a rope attached to the side of a couch. Head towards it.

Rotate the crank to lower the chandelier from the ceiling. Take a closer look at it.

You’ll spot the final key needed for the door downstairs inside the chandelier. But you can’t access it at the moment.

The Polyphon

Back away from the chandelier, and check the device at the corner of the room behind one of the couches.

The device has a slot for a coin at the top. Insert the One Cent you picked up from the chessboard. Rotate the crank on the device so that the device accepts the coin.

This will trigger a cutscene. Watch the cutscene closely. You’ll note that Tesla hid something in the chandelier. He also keeps talking about changing the music.

Once the cutscene ends, check the opening at the bottom of the device. You’ll see a key. Pick it up to collect the Small Black Key.

Back away from the device, head toward the polyphon machine at the far end of the room.

Insert the Small Black Key into the right-side slot of the panel in front of the machine. Turn the key to activate the polyphon.

The panel will lift, revealing three buttons underneath. Press the left button first.

This will activate the disc on the right inside the machine. You’ll also see one of the fireplaces light up, and a picture appears in the frame right above it.

Head towards the frame with the picture. Note that the fittings on the left and one of the star ornaments at the bottom isn’t aligned properly.

Drag the two pieces to fit them properly in the frame. This will eject a disc from the frame. Pick it up to collect the Painted Wheel with Flowers.

Return to the polyphon machine and press the left button. This time the left picture frame gets illuminated.

The idea is the same as before: fix the errors and pick up the ejected disc. This one gives you the Painted Wheel with Windows.

Return to the polyphon machine again and press the middle button to light up the middle frame.

Interact with the frame. You’ll notice two slots for the discs on either side of the frame. Place the Painted Wheel with Windows on the left slot and the Painted Wheel with Flowers on the right slot. Now you need to rotate the discs and set the right picture by looking at the pictures on the earlier frames.

Zooming in on the picture frames give you a clue about something that stands out in both pictures. To solve the puzzle, set the left disc to show the shadow of a lady and the right disc to show the tall purple flower. You’ll hear a click and the star ornament in the middle of the frame will come off.

Take a closer look at it. Pick up the Small White Key.

Go back to the polyphon machine and insert the Small White Key into the left slot. Turn the key to reveal a fourth red button on the panel.

Pressing the button activates the red disc in the polyphone. The picture frame in the middle gets burned off, revealing a wall safe behind it.

The Chandelier and The Main Door

Interact with the wall safe, and rotate the handle to pull it open.

Pick up the item to collect the Strange Metal Part.

Head toward the chandelier and look at its bottom side.

Use the Strange Metal Part with the bottom side of the chandelie. This will turn one of the lights on.

You can rotate the inner ring freely. At different positions, you’ll also notice different lights turn on in the device. To solve the puzzle, you need to rotate the inner ring so that the golden handles extend outwards connecting to the next ring. Then continue repeating the process until all the rings are connected.
