Welcome to our walkthrough for The House of Tesla. Escaping through the spiral staircase tunnel in Wardenclyffe Laboratory leads us to the base of the Wardenclyffe Tower. This is where the next part of our adventure takes place.
Unlike the previous chapters, this one will mostly take place across two flashbacks. This walkthrough will cover the first security door puzzle, along with all the puzzles in the first Tesla Memory.

The First Security Door

As you go out of the trapdoor, you’ll find yourself at the base of a steel tower, in front of a locked gate. There’s an open electrical cabinet right next to the door. Take a closer look at it.

This seems to be connected to the door. Pull the red lever on the left to start the puzzle.

As soon as you pull the lever, the magnet under the row of coils starts to move left and right along the groove. You’ll also notice the bulbs on the top left side start to flash as the magnet moves.

You can rotate the coils individually. Note that some of the coils have a capacitor attached to them. Rotating the coils so that none of the capacitors are facing the magnet at the bottom causes the bulb on the cabinet to turn off. Your goal is to position the coil so that the light bulb on the cabinet syncs with the light bulb on the door.

Check the image above for the proper position of the coils to solve this puzzle. This also activates another series of coils below the magnet. The idea is the same as before.

Pull the red lever to start the mechanism. Then, try to sync all the light bulbs on the machine to the one positioned directly beside them on the door.

The image above shows you the solution to this puzzle.

The door swings open, and you can head up the tower.
Tesla Memory #1

As you go up the stairs, you’ll reach another locked door. You’ll see a blue aura coming from the cabinet. Click on it to enter the first Tesla Memory for the zone.

Watch the cutscene and choose “Spectacle” as the answer to the quiz.

Once the cutscene ends, turn right to find a lever. Activate it to power up the factory.

Move forward along the walkway to find another lever. Activating it opens a drawer on the table up ahead. Take a closer look at the drawer.
The Drawer Puzzle #1

When you look into the drawer, you’ll see a series of bulbs lit up in four different colors. The four boxes at the bottom seem to be powering the bulbs. Each box has a unique symbol engraved on it.

Looking at the electrical board, you’ll also notice four blocks that resemble the same symbol. Clicking on different bulbs rotates them across four directions. If they connect to a colorless bulb, it lights up to show the color of the bulb that’s powering them.
To solve this puzzle, you need to connect the colored bulb to the block that matches the corresponding symbol on the box from which it originates.

The image above shows you how we routed the bulbs to solve this puzzle.

Solving the puzzle lights up a series of bulbs on a large machine at the back. But the bulbs on the left are still not powered.
The Engine

Continue moving forward along the walkway. The lever on the right doesn’t seem to do anything.

Head towards the large engine on the left.

Look down. Pick up the item on the ground to collect the Screw.

There are a couple of different sections of the engine that you’ll need to inspect. We’ll start with the round component on the right.

Zoom in on it twice to get a bird’s eye view of the component.

You can rotate the ring by grabbing the handle. There are two buttons on the right. The top button activates a crane, while the bottom button activates the rollers across the golden latches inside the ring.
To solve this puzzle, you need to disconnect the golden latches from the central part so that the ring can remove the cage. Here are the steps you’ll need to follow:
- Push the bottom-right button once.
- Rotate the ring once counterclockwise.
- Push the bottom-right button twice.
- Rotate the ring twice counterclockwise.
- Push the bottom-right button once.
- Rotate the ring once clockwise.
- Push the bottom-right button once.

This will automatically activate the crane, lifting the cage.

Check the middle section of the engine next. You can see that the pipe is filled with steam, creating high pressure. Pulling the lever on the right doesn’t do anything at the moment. But we’ll leave the lever at the bottom position for now.

Inspect the pipe with valves on the left side of the engine next. You can’t use the lever on the left because of a safety lock. To unlock the safety mechanism, you need to set all the golden sliders to a horizontal position. You can also move the sliders across the lock.

This puzzle is pretty straightforward. Use the valves above and below to rotate the sliders so that they are all in a horizontal position.

Pull the lever once the lock is deactivated to release the pressure.

Next, inspect the piston at the bottom part of the engine. Pull it down towards the bottom.

Use the Screw on the latch to secure it in place.

Return to the central pipe of the engine and push the lever up. You’ve fixed the engine.

Return to the lever on the walkway that wasn’t working earlier and activate it. It lights up another set of bulbs on the large machine at the back.
The Drawer Puzzle #2

Head towards the final lever at the end of the walkway. Activating it opens another drawer in the table in front of the large machine.

Interact with the drawer to find another puzzle similar to the one you completed earlier. You need to interconnect the symbols like before. But this time, the bulbs are on both the front and back sides. You can click the button on the right to flip the board.

Check the image above for the solution to this puzzle.

Solving this puzzle lights up two more bulbs on the machine. But there’s still one bulb left to power on. You’ll also see a door open at the end of the walkway. Head towards the door.
Fixing The Tram Wheel

As you enter the room, you’ll see a tram parked on the track. Walk towards it and head down the stairs to access its bottom section.

Interact with the broken component near the axle.

Pick it up to collect the Broken Ball Bearing Strip.

Return to the room and head towards the workbench near the door.

Take a closer look at the mechanism in the top left corner of the table. The device has slots for the ball bearing that you picked up just now. Pull it out to the side and place the Broken Ball Bearing Strip into the slot.

Next, you have to solve a series of weight distribution puzzles. You’ll spot three weights at the top that can be moved left, right, or center to distribute the weight. Your job is to counterbalance the weight of the ball on the left.

This is a very straightforward puzzle. Just keep moving the weights around to counterbalance the ball bearings until the segment is complete.
This directly leads you to a maze. You can see the balls in different sections of the maze. There are four buttons around the edges of the maze that you can use to move the balls. Clicking on the buttons moves all the balls towards a specific direction. You need to guide the balls toward the holes in the maze to solve this puzzle.

Here’s the exact sequence of buttons you need to press to solve this puzzle:
- Left-Down-Right-Up
- Right-Down-Left-Down
- Right-Down-Up-Left
- Right-Down-Left-Up
- Left-Up-Left-Down
- Right-Down-Left-Up
- Right-Up-Down-Right
- Left-Down-Right-Down
- Left-Down-Right

This unlocks another part of the device. Interact with it and pull the handle down to create a fresh strip of ball bearings. Pick it up to collect the Repaired Ball Bearing Strip.

Take a closer look at the left side of the workbench. Grab the device by the handle and pull it down.

Place the Repaired Ball Bearing Strip in the slot and pull the handle back up. Pull the lever on the side to repair the ball bearing.

Collect the Repaired Ball Bearing and head back down the stairs to access the tram’s underside.

Place the Repaired Ball Bearing where you found the broken pieces.

Rotate the screw on the side to get it primed.

Take a step back and drag the tram’s wheel towards the ball bearing to slot it into place.

Interact with the axle and drag it down by holding the handle. The handle moves out of the socket. Pick it up.

Head up the stairs and interact with the jack that’s holding the tram up.

Place the Handle in the empty slot and pull it to place the tram back on the track.
Starting the Tram

After repairing the wheel, head to the back of the tram. You’ll see a strange combination lock at the back. Take a closer look at it.

You can rotate the red disc in the middle. Rotating it shifts the three cylinders with gold lines above. There’s also an indicator at the top that shows which panel will shift when you rotate the disc.
To solve this puzzle, when the indicator is pointing at the left panel, rotate the disc so that the golden line aligns with the gold marking running along the lock. From the start position, rotate the red disc counterclockwise three turns three times in a row.

The lock falls off. Open the door and take a look inside.

This is a straightforward puzzle. Your goal is to adjust the gear using the handle on the left so that the golden pins can slot into it when you rotate the crank in the middle.

Move the handle to the fifth position from the top and keep rotating the crank to solve this puzzle.

Enter the Tram through the open door at the front and interact with the control panel.

You can rotate the five small discs at the bottom to change the position of the white and black dials on the top disc. You can see specific slots where you need to position the two dials. This one is easy and shouldn’t take too long to crack.

Getting the dials in the right position deactivates the lock on the lever on the right. Activate the lever to power up the tram.

After a short cutscene, the tram moves forward. Inspect the grate near where the tram was parked. You can lift the cover using the handle.

You’ll see two disconnected wires. One end of the wire has a specific slot for an item.

Exit the room and look down immediately to spot another grate. Open it and pick up the item inside to collect a Connector.

Inspect the item in your inventory and rotate the bottom disc so that it matches up with the slots you saw on the wire earlier. Check the image above for the solution.

Place the Connector on the wire and watch the final bulb on the machine light up. Head out of the room and walk towards the machine.
The Switchboard Puzzle

As you go to the machine, you’ll see that the bulbs have started flickering. You’ll also see a new board.

But before you check the panel, head towards the flickering bulbs. You’ll spot two levers. The main lever is set to on. Activate the small lever on the side.

This causes four panels to slide out from under the flickering bulbs.

Now take a closer look at the new board where you solved the drawer puzzles earlier.
There are some glass panels that you can slide across the grooves on the board. You’ll also note that when you move the glass panels to a specific position, different sections of the light bulbs stay lit. Your goal is to stop the bulbs from flickering and ensure they all stay on. The four panels that you found by activating the lever are the clue to solving this puzzle.

Check the image above for the correct position of the glass panels on the board.

The panel slides back down. Head towards the lever and flip it to Off. This completes the Tesla memory.
