The NOexistenceN Of Morphean Paradox – Walkthrough Part 3

The NOexistenceN Of Morphean Paradox Walkthrough

In Part 3 of The NOexistenceN of Morphean Paradox, you’ll uncover some more information about what’s actually going on in the Forest of Silver Shallots. After completing the registration of your guild and acquiring enough members, there’s still one member you’ve yet to recruit, and it won’t be easy, as Kallen Scarlet is a wanted criminal in the Griffin Kingdom. For more information on the game, please visit its official Steam page here.

Dream

After officially registering your Guild, you’ll have to wait a couple of days before you see a dream. For me, it triggered on Day 13.

In the dream, you’ll see young Kallen standing amongst ruins. She is surrounded by Black Mist. Kallen looks at you, begging you to take her away from here.

She calls you Morphean Paradox. Shortly after, you wake up back at the guild. Lilith is there to comfort you. The rest of the guild members also want to head out to work, but Lilith warns you that Kallen has been spotted near the Eerie Lands.

According to the rumors, Kallen Scarlet is behind the recent surge in monsters, the Black Mist, and has become a wanted criminal.

Exploration

You’ll then arrive at the service centre alongside your guild members, looking for any suitable quests. She hands you some supplies.

Around Day 20, Lilith and the rest of the guild members will get ready to head out on an exploration quest with you. The exploration quest has levels, which you can spot in the top-right corner of the screen.

There are usually two options: Fast Walking and Camping. Fast walking will allow you to progress to the next level at the cost of personal and Team Stamina.

Most of the levels are randomized, but some are guaranteed for battle. Among the randomized outcomes of Fast Walking, besides enemy encounter, you may find a place to rest, a treasure chest, or lose some supplies, encounter a place that makes it difficult to camp, or encounter a bag of supplies, among other things.

Now, in some explorations, especially the lengthy ones, you can rest for the day as well, restoring your combat HP and Sanity while also advancing a day.

On this specific exploration quest, you’ll encounter goblins at level 3. Then, on the final level, level 8, you’ll have to fight against a boss enemy. It is usually a Vine Hunter for most exploration quests.

Encountering Wilson

After winning the battle against the Vine Hunter, you’ll encounter Wilson in the Eerie Lands; however, he’s disposing of something suspicious.

While you try to hide and see, Wilson notices your presence and asks you to come out. Wilsom claims that the violence and the disappearances here are the work of some shapeshifter.

Wilson asks you to leave. Here, you can choose to stay, but the game heavily insists that you leave.

After returning to the Guild, you can talk to Lilith about what happened there. You can then decide to call it a night to begin the next day.

From here, you’ll have to do regular quests and training to pass the days. Some new exploration quests will also become available.

A Sneak Attack

On Day 27, you’ll wake up and find Lilith. She’s in a good mood and wants to go out to the bookstore to buy a novel. She manages to convince you to go along with her.

Now, as you’re walking in the town, you pass through an alley. Here, you’ll find a man wearing a priest’s robe. The alley is narrow, so you and Lilith have to press against the wall to let the priest pass.

However, as the man is passing through in front of you, you catch a glimpse of steel. You’re able to avoid, but the blade manages to graze your arm, causing you to become paralyzed.

Surprised by the sudden attack on you, Lilith is caught off guard, and the priest manages to end her. You stay on the ground, trying to cope with the grief and understanding what has just happened.

In the meantime, you’ll spot Elin, who came to help you. Elin asks you to take deep breaths to wear down the paralyzing magic. Wilson also arrives at the scene alongside Ronnie. He offers his condolences and walks away, though he appears disappointed at not being able to help.

Resurrection

However, Elin tells you something important. Death isn’t final in the Griffin Kingdom, and the Goddess Isaia’s protection allows humans to return to life, only if their bodies are intact.

Elin gives you a pouch of coins and knocks you in a carriage to go to the Stone of Isaia, where the ressurections takes place. As you arrive here, you’ll encounter a guard trying to extort some money out of you. You can do whatever you want with him.

Shortly after, a petite priest called Doria will come running from inside. She’s very cheerful, and she has brought Lilith with her, all alive.

As you meet Lilith, you ask the obvious question. Is she still the same Lilith as before? Thankfully, she is still the same old Lilith. She’s a little stiff because she was also affected by the same paralyzing magic as you. You’ll then return to the guild with her.

Stone Of Isaia Chronicles

After leaving with the resurrected Lilith, the Grandmaster is determined to visit the Stone of Isaia again to see what it’s about.

Here, you’ll encounter Weimar and Doria. Unfortunately, they’re facing troubled times with people complaining after being resurrected. However, Doria reassures you that she has thoroughly checked the procedures and there have been no flaws in that, but the complaints are still coming.

You also spot a crowd gathering shortly ahead, and Doria runs over there. Follow them to find out that an adventurer is claiming to have suffered a heavy loss due to the priest’s incompetence during the resurrection process.

You have several options here. Here, you can do a reputation check to defuse the situation or a strength check to intimidate the adventurer. You can also choose to wait and see. I did an intimidation check and succeeded, which caused the adventurer to back off without trouble.

Doria then asks you in private to investigate the issue. Weimar is against it, but seeing how enthusiastic Doria is, he eventually agrees, only if you let him come with you on the investigation. That would be the end of the quest for now.

Wilson’s Invitation

On Day 34, Ronnie will arrive at your guild. You might remember his name from the Bakery Owner earlier in the story. Ronnie oversees miners on the Dawn Plains, and he has been sent here from the Capital and has been working under Wilson.

As a former Griffin Guard, Green is quite critical of him. However, Ronnie is here to deliver an invitation from Wilson. He has been asked to deliver the same invitation to multiple guilds, and it appears that he’s gathering adventurers for something grand.

Wilson’s Speech

Ronnie leaves shortly after delivering the invitation. Now, you have to wait a few days. On Day 36, you’ll be able to attend Wilson’s Speech at the Marigold Town node on the map.

As you arrive at the venue, you’ll have to make way to progress. Here, you’ll find a hooded figure. She compliments your maneuvers so far.

You may try to find out who she is, but Wilson quickly takes the stage. Wilson’s initial speech talks about how he needs to find more hands to fight against the spreading Black Mist. Meanwhile, the hooded figure speaks up about the risk of fighting against the Black Mist.

The hooded figure makes it clear that those who fight against the mist have a risk of getting infected themselves. Furthermore, anyone affected by the Black Mist cannot be resurrected, so death is final for them.

Unfazed, Wilson is still able to rally the crowd with his charisma and words. After the speech, some guards surround you, mistaking you for the hooded figure. However, you can do an easy skill check here to avoid getting pressured by them.

After that, Ronnie will arrive to take you away from the guards. You’ll then go to Wilson and have him answer some of your questions.

The Subjugation Quest

On Day 38, you’ll get a message that the Subjugation Squad’s departure date is coming closer, and you should leave today if you wish to join them. You can find the event node at the camp area, near Marigold Town.

As the event starts, you’ll find Ronnie, who’s marking attendance. It appears that only about 46 adventurers showed up. You can’t find Wilson yet, as he’s preparing plans. After you’re done questioning Ronnie, Wilson will appear.

Ronnie gives every captain a communication device that is also attuned to their vitals. Wilson tells everyone that if they encounter something they can’t handle, they should fire a flare.

Subjugation Quest’s Exploration

The Subjugation quest’s Exploration lasts for 24 levels. There will be a ton of battles, but fortunately, you can reset by camping.

At level 4, you’ll have to fight some monsters, and after that, you’ll encounter a defeated adventurer. They have been abandoned after being afflicted by the Black Mist. There’s no hope to save them, but you spot a red flare nearby, so you hurry onwards.

At level 9, you’ll finally arrive at the flare’s location, but you’re too late. No adventurers have survived. You decide to press on.

After reaching level 13, you’ll hear some noises nearby. It appears that the adventurers nearby need help. You go closer to take a look, and it’s Elin and her party. They’ve suffered some damage, so you help them out to evacuate safely.

You’ll encounter Wilson at level 17. He’s heavily damaged and quite possibly struck by a Shadow-Touched monster. Wilson tags along to your party.

As you make your way to level 20, you’ll have to battle against some enemies. After that, you’ll find a safe spot to rest. You’ll fully restore your health. The camp here is in a lighthearted mood, and that causes Wilson to feel nostalgic. He also shares his history with you.

Now, at level 24, you’ll have to face a Vine Hunter. It appears that this was the last one. After defeating it, Wilson will collapse, but he’s still conscious. According to him, this was the largest Dark Mist carrier in the area.

Returning From The Subjugation

You decide that it’s time to leave the forest and return to the barracks. But, for now, you should rest here because Wilson needs his injuries attended to.

Kallen will then appear out of nowhere. She wants to get rid of Wilson because he’s affected by the Dark Mist. Wilson accuses Kallen of spreading the Dark Mist, but she clarifies that she’s only able to manipulate it. She also makes it clear that the reason she has been here alongside the mist is that she’s also trying to stop it from spreading.

While the situation between Kallen and Wilson diffuses, you’re attacked by the Karmic. Wilson intends to die, but you have a choice here. You can either leave him there as he’s already infected, or you can save him.

I picked the option to save him, and then I had to fight against another Vine Hunter. After you’ve won the battle, you’ll be able to inquire about Wilson further.

He’ll answer that he was the one abducting criminals from the outskirts of the town. He was the one who took justice into his own hands, not Kallen. After his confession, you decide to bring him back, with Kallen’s permission.

Triumphant Return

As you return with the wounded Wilson and Kallen by your side, the guards judge you, accusing Kallen of harming Wilson. However, Ronnie is able to diffuse the situation and gets Wilson treated right away.

Wilson has been placed under constant watch, ready to be ended if the infection spreads too far and he loses himself. Ronnie also wants to keep Kallen under watch, but you, as a Guildmaster, are able to take responsibility for her.

After a long conversation, she’s able to join your party.

Ordinary Sword

On Day 43, you’ll see a dream, where you’ll encounter the man again who wanted to take your sword away at the beginning of the story. The dream causes you to think more about whether the sword was really ordinary or not.

When you share the story with your guildmates, they’ll suggest going to the church to find out more about it. There, you’ll find out that some impersonators have tried to steal the things in the church, the same people who were after your sword.

The priest suggests that the culprits might be staying at the Watchtower. After you get there, you’ll have to fight against the duo again.

In the end, it will turn out that the duo was indeed mistaken, and your sword is just as ordinary as it gets. However, the duo has also managed to steal the Holy Grail from the church, and you managed to find it while returning from the Watchtower.

You’ll then arrive at the service centre to report the completion of the quest. Here, you have a choice to hold on to the holy grail or give it to the centre. I selected the option to keep the valuable item for myself.

Ronnie’s Warning

Ronnie calls you on Day 48, asking you to talk to the different people in the town. The quest requires you to talk to different people in the town as you prepare for an invasion from the Demon Lord’s army.

However, even if you don’t interact with anyone, the events will still happen, albeit a little delayed.

Unexpected Enemy

On Day 55, Marigold Town will suddenly be invaded by the Karmic. Everything is in ruins. Kallen is worried, but Lilith reassures her that you’ll be able to save the town.

Here, you’ll have two options. You’ll have to protect the Stone of Isaia, or you can choose to assist the guards. I picked the option to protect the guards first.

Here, you’ll have to fight against the Karmic. Once you’ve defeated them, you can go on to protect the Stone of Isaia. After you’ve cleared both waves of enemies, you’ll hear some guards calling out to Wilson.

However, Wilson is now consumed by the Dark Mist. He has lost himself and has become a threat to everyone around him. You’ll have to fight against him.

After you’ve defeated Wilson, he’ll gracefully turn to dust, leaving behind his battered sword.

Demon Lord’s Invasion

On Day 57, you’ll be invaded by the Demon Lord’s army. Ronnie will summon you, reporting to you that the entire city has fallen.

It appears that he has given up all hope. Luckily, the people that you care about, Elin and her party, the priests, and the bakery owner are all safe.

You can then talk to the nearby people or rest. Your guildmates will then get ready for battle. Even though they’ve gotten ready, as you head out, you can feel the hesitation in your teammates.

Shortly after, you’ll be attacked by Paimon and Hagerty. Paimon talks with Fouco, while Hagerty arrives with injured Elin in his hands.

Your teammates quickly gather around Elin to heal her. Meanwhile, Ronnie and the guards form a shield between you and the Demon Lord’s minions. However, they don’t stand much chance.

Morphean Paradox

As you witness the destruction around you, your mind reels with thoughts and guilt. Then, Lilith’s familiar hand presses against you, clearing your mind.

Here, you make a declaration that you plan to fight till your last breath. You, as the Guildmaster, order Lilith to take everyone, including Ronnie, and get away from the area.

Then, surges of light start to erupt from your armor, giving you power beyond imagination. You’ll then enter battle, but your HP, Sanity, and all of your skills and stats have been drastically enhanced. Nothing stands a chance between you and anything else.

After taking care of the smaller enemies, you’ll fight Hagerty. After you’ve defeated him, Paimon will take Hagerty and retreat by using a portal.

Just as the army leaves, you fall to your knees, the power is gone now, and you can barely stand. Kallen is there to support you and take you back home.
