Exploring the Lower Part of the Cemetery

After getting off the boat, continue moving forward to reach the gates of the Cemetery. You’re currently at the ground section. There’s a wooden shack on your right. But you’ll need a name to open the door.

You can peek in through the window if you want. You’ll spot a Stone Lion on a table inside the shack.

On your left, you’ll spot a gated crypt. But again, the gate is locked.

Head towards the large Cathedral up ahead. You’ll spot six pillars scattered around the Cathedral.

If you use Vera Visio, you’ll see a Stone Lion on each of the pillars. Your goal here is to find the missing Stone Lions and place them in the correct orientation on each pillar.

You’ll find the first Stone Lion on the farthest pillar, but it’s in pieces. Use Tempus Fugit to reassemble the broken pieces.

Then use Vera Visio to check the correct orientation and rotate the Stone Lion to match it.

While standing on the steps of the Cathedral, look up at the roof with Vera Visio to spot a glowing item. Use Caecus Corvus to grab it.

Take the Bell. This is the first of three you’ll find in this chapter.

Explore the area on the left. You’ll spot a wooden coffin you can open to reveal the name “PRESTON”.

There’s another crypt in this area. Enter through the gate. This one is unlocked.

Check the caskets inside the crypt. One of them contains another Stone Lion you can pick up.

There’s a well here with another bell stuck on the wooden frame. Interact with it.

The Bell will fall into the well.

On the left, you can see a sink. You can turn the faucet to turn the water on, but nothing happens.
Return to the Cathedral and place the second Stone Lion you picked up on one of the pillars and set it up in the correct orientation. We’re done with the lower section for now.
Meeting Gabriel and the First Medallion Piece

There’s a set of steps leading to the upper section of the Cemetery on the right side of the Cathedral.

Go to the upper section. You’ll spot a hole in the ground up ahead.

Just past it, there’s another bell on a cross-shaped tombstone on your left. Pick it up.

Turn right and use Vera Visio to spot a glowing item on the tree up ahead. Use Caecus Corvus to grab it and collect another Necklace.

You should also spot an NPC sitting near some graves. This is Gabriel, Alan’s father, who seemingly disappeared, and the reason why you came to the island in the first place. Head towards him to trigger a cutscene.

During the conversation with Gabriel, Orna will come in from the Mausoleum on the left.

When the cutscene ends, Gabriel will turn hostile and start chasing you around the Cemetery. You’ll have to run away. But if you manage to put some distance between you, he’ll stop chasing you.
The encounters are random, and you’ll hear the music change whenever Gabriel starts chasing you. Just run away from him when that happens.

After losing Gabriel, return to where you saw him first. Inspect the locked Mausoleum door where you saw Orna come out of.

Then check the statue near the stone coffin at the edge of the cliff. If you try to interact with it, the screen becomes blurry.

There’s a metal stand with a hook on the right. Use the Bell on it. Then try interacting with the statue again.

You can now open the coffin. Interact with the casket inside to find a Medallion with a path traced on it. You’ll need to find three more of these to solve the Mausoleum Door Puzzle. Alan will note down the path you see on the medallion in his journal.

There’s a cracked coffin on your left, slightly behind you. You’ll find the third Stone Lion here.

Looking around, you’ll see a set of stairs leading to an upper area. There are two paths, but the path on the right is locked.

Take the path that’s open to the highest section of the Cemetery. It’s a small, closed-off area. But there are a few things you’ll have to pick up here.

Check the tombstones on the left, a few steps in. You’ll find a Rope Ladder on one of them. Pick it up.

You’ll also see a suited skeleton on a casket. Interact with it to move it out of the way and open the casket. You’ll see another name here, MARINA.

Turn right to spot a locked gate. Check the casket marked in the image above.

You’ll find the fourth Stone Lion inside.

Return to the second level of the Cemetery where you spoke with Gabriel. Use the Rope Ladder on the hole near the steps leading to the lower area of the Cemetery. Now you can drop down through the hole into the Catacombs.
The Catacombs, Second Medallion Piece & Last Two Stone Lions

After the short cutscene of Alan falling, start moving through the Catacombs. There are a few caskets here that you can open.

After the first passage, you’ll reach a chamber with some candles on the floor.

Check the upright casket leaned against the wall at the far end to find another name, Willow. This is the name needed to open the shack in the Cemetery.

Head out through the door near the casket and continue along the passage. You’ll spot another casket on your left mid-way along the next passage.

Open the casket to find the fifth Stone Lion.

Continue moving along the passage till you reach the surface. You’ll find yourself inside the first crypt that you saw when you entered the Cemetery. There’s a stone statue here, same as the one you found near the Mausoleum.

You know the drill; place the bell on the hook and open the casket to find the second Medallion piece. Alan will note down the path.

Then head out through the door to return to the main part of the Cemetery. The shack is just up ahead.

Interact with the door and enter the name Willow to open it. Head inside. The specter will disappear once you enter.

Pick up the final Stone Lion from the table inside the shack. Also pick up the Hose from the table on your left.
The Final Medallion Piece

Go to the left section of the Cathedral to the well where you saw the Bell fall. Interact with the faucet nearby and use the Hose.

Turn the faucet on and head back to the well. The water level will rise, and you can grab the Bell.

Return to the Cathedral area and place all the Stone Lions on the pillars and orient them as shown using Vera Visio. The gates on the sides of the Cathedral will open.

Head through the gate and down the stairs to reach another stone statue. The metal stand of this statue has the Lock Key on it. Pick it up.

Then place the third Bell on the hook to open the casket and find the final Medallion piece.

Your journal has all three paths traced now. But there’s one more thing we have to do before we can open the Mausoleum.
The Lighthouse & Unlocking a New Skill

Return to the second level of the Cemetery and use the Lock Key to unlock the gate to the stairs on the right.

This will trigger a long cutscene where Gabriel walks Alan to the outhouse at the top of the hill.

After the cutscene, turn left and head into the second door on your right. We’ve marked it in the image above.

Inside, you’ll find an Altar. Light the candles. Then check the drawer on your left to find another Necklace.

Return to the main area and continue exploring the ground floor. Enter the Kitchen on the right on the far side of the main area.

Use Vera Visio to check the wall, and you’ll spot a calendar with the numbers 54, 2, and 18 marked with a red circle. This is important.

Head to the upper floor using the stairs in the main area.

There’s a locked door on your left on the first floor.

Turn right, and you’ll spot a room on the left and a ladder straight ahead.

The side room has a picture and a note that you can inspect.

Take the ladder to reach the Attic. Squeeze through the wooden beam to the other side.

The green chest here has a combination lock. The code is the number you found on the calendar in the kitchen.

Enter the code 54218 to unlock it. Pick up the Lighthouse Key.

Return to the first floor down the ladder. Use the Lighthouse Key to unlock the door near the stairs.

Go through the door at the end of the passage. You’ll see a specter walking by. But it will disappear by the time you go through the door.

You’ll see the path on your left is blocked. The gate is chained shut.

Turn right and head down the stairs all the way to the bottom. You can spot a Bolt Cutter on the left, but there’s a swarm of rats in the way.

You’ll also see some pressure valves on the wall on your right. Head toward the pressure valves and read the note on the left.

It contains information on where each indicator should point to maintain proper function.

Interact with the pressure valve and set the gauge according to the note (6, 9 & 20).

This triggers a short cutscene where Alan finds a strange flute that grants him the final ability, Vermis Mentis.

Vermis Mentis lets you control small vermin, like the rats in the area. Use it to move the swarm out of the way and clear a path to the tool rack.

Open the tool rack and pick up the Bolt Cutter.

Head back up the stairs and use the Bolt Cutter to cut the chains on the gate.

Follow the stairs all the way to the top to reach the lighthouse lantern room. You’ll spot an item on the ground. Pick it up to collect the Lion Key and trigger another cutscene.

You’ll see the specter of Gabriel at the top of the Lighthouse. During the conversation, he’ll hand you a Tongue.

When the cutscene ends, you’ll find yourself back at the second level of the Cemetery, where you saw Gabriel the first time.

Turn around and interact with the Mausoleum door. Use the Lion Key to start the puzzle.
To solve it, you have to trace the Lion Key across the board, following the path that you saw on the three medallions. You can check your Journal to see the path you can take.

Once you’ve traced the entire path, the Mausoleum door will open, and you can head through.
The Mausoleum

This section of the chapter is pretty straightforward. You have to navigate the maze-like tunnels of the Mausoleum till you reach the Redler Manor. Continue heading along the passage.

A specter will grab you when you reach a boarded-up window. Mash the prompt button to free yourself.

Other than this, the first part is pretty straightforward. Keep moving forward and duck past some obstacles till you slide down a slope to reach an underground area.

Continue forward, and you’ll see a drain on the ground. The main path is to the left past a narrow metal rail.

But first, head right to find another Altar you can light up.

Return to the main path and cross the metal rail to the other side while maintaining your balance. On the other side, you’ll have to crawl through a pipe to reach a narrow passage.

There’s another pipe on your left and a ladder on your right. Both path leads to the same place. But we’ll head toward the pipe. There’s a Necklace you can pick up on the grill (marked on the image above) before entering the pipe.

On the other side of the pipe, continue forward, and you’ll spot a set of steps leading up to your left. Follow this path.

You’ll eventually climb down a ladder into a chamber.

Keep moving forward through a room full of machinery and up a steel staircase to see an elevator. Head into the elevator. It will take you all the way to the grounds of the Redler Manor.
