Chapter 1: Some Serious Beeswax
After the short cutscene, where you read the backstory of Jot – you get control. Head to the right and enter the house of Moonbeard. He will ask you to go to Honey Peak and get some wax. Head to the right to enter the woods. A short tutorial section will follow.
After dispatching the goblins, head to the top corner of the map. You can see a break in the tree line. You will find a gate that opens up for Jot on the other side.
You will soon see Honey Peak in the distance. Learn how to jump and keep moving right. Jump over the platforms and kill the goblins as you come across them. Eventually, you will reach the top. You will find a honey badger nad have to engage in fistfight ala PunchOut.
Once he is down, you will receive Beeswax from Benny. Soon after, you will drop off the cliff and land on your face. Meet up with Moonbeard. He will ask you to head to Tome Tower. You will now meet Violet. Head to the right now and go across the path – killing goblins. In the next area, you will need to explore the page, to find the words to open the gate.
The word “gate” is on the left and “open” is in the tree on the right. Once the words are placed the gate opens. Talk to Martina on the other side for items you can buy. You should buy the Stone Throw Badge – which allows you to throw your weapon.
Practice throwing your sword and exit that page. Head up and exit the page with Martina on it. Kill the birds on the next page and head to the right. The ground will crack and you and Violet will fall down.
