Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for The Precinct.

For more information on The Precinct beyond this walkthrough, check out the official website here.

In this part, we go through the game, unlocking evidence on Gia Weaver, the captain of the Crimson Serpent.

Day 1

As the new shift starts, Kowalski will ask you to go to the Chief’s room. Head there now.

They will ask you to keep an eye out for gang members. When and if you make arrests, you must bring the evidence back to the Evidence Room. Also you will need to meet up with Antonio from time to time. Next, take the evidence for the Crimson Serpent to Eugene in the Evidence Room.

You will now be told how the Evidence system works. Basically, while out in the world, you stop various crimes (and there are many) you will be able to collect evidence. Most will be standard evidence, but some will be Vital Evidence related to the two gangs the police are cracking down on. The basic gameplay loop is thus: you pick a shift and you go out into the world. You stop various crimes – you get evidence to build your case against the various crime bosses. Once you have enough evidence you take down the relevant boss.

Speak with Detective Li again. Learn about the Crimson Serpent. Report to the Watch Commander Kowalski in the briefing room next.

Accept your shift. You will also learn about how levelling up works in the game. At the end of your shift, you will be handed experience points for all your activities. This will level up your rank and also give you upgrade points that you can use to upgrade your skill set. For now head to your designated area. Park your car in Chinatown and get on foot. There is a mile counter that’s tracking your progress.

There is a vandal near the stairs. Check him and give him a fine. Collect the evidence next to him.

A drug deal call will come in. Accept it and make your way to the scene. There is a time counting down, so run for it.

Once you get there, the drug dealer will shoot at you. Kill him and chase after the lady. She will hide in a trash can. Get her out and arrest her. You can add Contraband Trafficking to her offenses. Go back and get the Crimson Serpent firearm evidence from the drug dealer’s body. You will find another vandal close by. Hunt her down and you will find an unlicensed firearm on her. Always check the ID before searching the person – otherwise, you will lose XP points.

The more crimes you resolve the more XP, you get – I completed a car chase here that just evolved due to the situation. End the day by handing in the evidence. This will increase the information on Captain Gia Weaver – in terms of building a case against her.

Also if you go past your shift time – you will receive Unsanctioned Overtime. If you level up now you will receive an Upgrade Token and the Shotgun.

Day 2

In today’s briefing you will meet Spencer Sharp. He will tell you about a theft in the museum. 20 pieces are missing. You can keep an eye out on patrol to recover these artifacts. This is a side quest that we do not cover in this walkthrough. Next, pick your shift.

Head to East Averno. Before heading out you can use the upgrade window.

You will receive a dispatch telling you to investigate a suspicious object behind the ACB bank. Follow the map marker.

You will find a safe box and you need a 4 digit code. Look around for clues. Its on the wall next to the car. The code itself is 4321. Its one of those artifacts.

Head back to your patrol car. Look for any crimes – I got a call to apprehend a burglary which turned into a car chase. Stopping him gave me 1 more evidence against the Crimson Serpent.

I stopped a carjacking next. Generally, you can’t stop more than 3 crimes a day right now (You make a longer shift duration once you unlock Custom Shifts). So head to the precinct when your shift is over and hand over the evidence. I had 6/8 pieces of Evidence against Gia Weaver right now.

Day 3

Speak to Kowalksi to get an undercover assignment about illegal racing (Another side quest that we do not cover in this walkthrough). You should have multiple options for shifts. I picked On foot Patrol at the Plaza.

Then I headed to Kavanaugh’s Bar to talk to Antonio.

This will give you evidence against the Crimson Serpents. If you head back out to the north, you will find a flare on the ground. This is where you can start the illegal racing side quest.

Keep stopping more crimes – one thing to keep in mind is if you restrain one perp, almost always the other perp will get away. If you arrest one, the other one goes away; if you just restrain one and go after the other, the restrained one escapes.

Once your shift ends, head back to the Precinct. You should have enough evidence on the Captain.

End your shift at the desk. I reached R4 (Recruit 4) at this point.

Day 4

You will have the option today to go after Gia Weaver. Or do normal patrols. I chose to go after Gia Weaver.

Speak to Detective Li. Head out to Antonio – to the payphone off Fenwick Intersection 5.

Get back in your car and follow the map marker to Gia Weaver.

Clear the area and arrest Gia Weaver. Remember to read her rights. Arrest Choi as well.

Head back to the station and book them both.

Head to the Interrogation room next.

You will now know your next target – Dmitri Popov.
