How To Craft A Workbench

The Ranchers

You first need to subscribe to an electricity contract from the city hall to supply power to your farm. Talk to Victor in the mayor’s office. You can also purchase a water contract here for water supply.

The utility meter outside your farm will tell you about power consumption. The workbench is used for advanced crafting.

Police Pursuits

Crimes are a thing in The Ranchers, so you can’t just do whatever you want. You cannot steal other people’s vehicles or animals, or drones will start following you. If you are planning on escaping, you should try it when your wanted level is low.

You can choose to run from them or surrender. If you get caught, you will need to pay a fine, serve jail time or both. Your decision to surrender or escape impacts jail time. Just sleep these days off to get out. While you are in jail, you can’t tend to your crops or animals. So, avoid taking risks with crimes if you have important stuff to do.

Tip

Try to go near large trees, so the police drones hit them while chasing you. Once you hit the initial drones, hide from remaining drones to evade capture.

How To Build A House

The Ranchers

Go to the shelters tab in the workbench. You will find house parts here. Start by building interior foundations. Try a small square house first. Then place walls around it, and rotate it to place the interior part inside.

Place walls with doors and window gaps, and then craft doors and windows to insert in them. Place an exterior wall with a door leading to the outside and place a door inside. To make rooms inside, build interior walls and doors. Do the same with windows. Make a doorstep to fit your outside door as well.

Build a basic level one roof for starters. If you want to build a second floor, build a ceiling and stairs leading to it. Craft some basic furniture like a bed to sleep in. You can also build a garage for your car, right outside your home.

How To Get Animals

The Ranchers

To start, you will need to buy advanced blueprints from Meriam in the City Hall. You can purchase a coop for hens and other small animals and a barn for large animals. She also has power generation buildings in stock, which you can use to supply electricity to your farm.

Meriam is found in the architect’s office of the city hall. You can purchase poultry from Angela’s ranch. Purchase hens and roosters; you will find them behind the delivery fence after purchasing. Take them to your coop. If you want them to have chicks, you can also place a rooster. To get large animals, visit Malcolm’s farm.

You can check the growth progress of the animal to know when they will mature. When the hens complete their ovulation progress bar, they will lay an egg. Pet them daily to increase the bond with them. They will eventually start laying larger eggs.

You can check their info to see what they need. Use a watering can in the trough to provide them with water. You can place haystacks as food. You can also obtain meat from animals if you butcher them.

If their needs aren’t met, the animals will get sick, and you need to visit a vet. In summer or winter, you will need to regulate the temperature, so purchase a barn heat kit from Angela to manage it. Place it outside any coop to get it working. Your animals will get thermal stress otherwise.

Tip

Build a fence around your coops or barns; otherwise, the animals will run far away from their enclosures. Keep the doors of your enclosures closed in bad weather.

Fast Travel

If you don’t wish to waste time on the roads in The Ranchers, you can use the subway stations for fast travel. Head into any around town, and it will instantly take you to the destination that you select on the map.

You can also travel to other players’ worlds if you purchase a multiplayer ticket. If you rope the large animals, you can travel with them faster using the stations.
