The Séance of Blake Manor Walkthrough Day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of your investigation into the eerie halls of Blake Manor. As the newly arrived detective, you step into a grand, decaying estate in 1897 Ireland, summoned to untangle the disappearance of Evelyn Deane and attend a looming séance. With each corridor you explore and each guest you question, the fog of mystery deepens—time ticks ever closer to the ritual, and every clue must be gathered with care. Let’s begin peeling back the layers of secrets as we delve into the first chapter of this gothic, supernatural detective mystery. This part focuses on solving the first mystery – Did Evelyn really disappear?

After watching the intro setup cutscene about Evelyn’s disappearance and your arrival to Blake Manor, you will be given Control.

Day 1 – 11PM

You start out in the courtyard. You can see the Manor in the distance. You can check the fountain out but it will cost you a minute. Time is a resource here, spend it wisely.

Behind the fountain you will see the ghost/spirit of a woman.

This will add the records of the Washer Woman to your evidence. You can find a shawl if you check the place where she was standing. If you check the records, you can see that it is filed under observation and which of the characters you can discuss the matter.

If you turn to the right, you will find a gazebo with a statue in it.

Inspecting it will take a minute. This will add Mary Blake, Deceased Marchioness and Idolised Wife observations to the records. Go back to the main doorway. Note that if you attempt to climb in through the window, you will trigger a fail state, and the game will end. So just head in through the main door. Check the Jack-o-lantern and move on. So for tonight, you have till midnight to solve the mystery of Evelyn Deane’s disappearance.

Mystery Unlocked: Miss Deane’s Departure

Go through the tutorial explaining how mysteries work.

Now you have a Lead. Check the newspapers and you should be at 11:04 pm. Don’t bother checking the drawers or the table – it will just waste a minute. Next check the entertainment schedule.

On the next screen, you can make 4 observations.

The entertainment schedule will be added as evidence. In the interest of getting to the point, I will only point out things that add to the investigation. Almost everything in the room can be inspected and costs minutes.  Check the sign for the Grand Séance by the entrance.

This will add to the evidence pool. You can also place you luggage on the luggage stand next to the reception. If you open the cupboard behind the reception desk you can check a newspaper. This will add to the evidence pool.

If you check the drawers on the table itself, you can find the staff’s rotation for the manor. This too is evidence.

Now hit the bell and check in. The manager, Vincent Varley will show up to greet you. You will get the clue that the telegraph machine is broken.

Check the sign in book next. You can make 4 observations here as well.

These will all be added to the evidence pool. Talk to the manager again. Discuss the evidence with him to proceed.

You will receive a Lead: Find Evelyn’s Letter. Talk to him again and discuss the evidence you have. Topics about the pocket watch, his glasses, about the washer woman outside. You can enable detective vision to see which objects you can interact with in the room. You need to find the Manager’s office.

The Telegraph Room

In the telegraph room, you will find the machine indeed is broken and that you can remove the burnt batteries.

The Manager’s Office

In the Manager’s Office, you will find him inside. He will direct you outside.

Reception Area

Once outside pick up the discs from the letter cabinet.

These are the discs you need to fix the telegraph machine with.

The Telegraph Room

Use the discs to repair the Battery.

You need to make a battery that’s about 6V. The diagram provided shows you how to make a battery of 4V.  You need to stack a copper > paper > zinc disc to make an unit. Do it six times to get 6V.

Reception

Call the manager and tell him the telegraph machine has been fixed. He will now head to the telegraph room.

The Manager’s Room

Head to the manager’s room now. Check the room rack to see the Evelyn must have stayed in Room 2,7,15 and 21.

Check the manager’s table for a complaint letter.

This will be added to the evidence. If you check the open letter you can find more evidence.

Check the clipboard on the desk and you will find Evelyn’s letter.

Third Difference

You have enough evidence for a hypothesis. Go to the Hypothesis panel and fill in the missing words.

Consider this hypothesis now. This should lead to consider the facts about the culprits.

Consider that they can write when most of Ireland is illiterate. This will lead you to solve the first mystery. You will now have unlocked a new mystery – The Culprit. Climb out the window and go back in through the front door. Watch the cutscene play out. Next go up the stairs and to room no 4. Look at the bed to go to sleep and end Day 1.

In the dream sequence, go to the door at the far end and complete the sigil.

Then the next sigil infront of a wall

At the end of the path, complete the sigil on the large stone.

This will end the day and start day 2.

This concludes the walkthrough for Day 1 of The Seance at Blake Manor.
