The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin – Act 1 Walkthrough

The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin Walkthrough

The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is an open-world RPG, set shortly after the story of the Anime. You play as Prince Tristan, son of Elizabeth and Melodias, who uncovers a mysterious pendant called the Book of Stars inside a cave. Now, you must join forces with your friends and Hawk to find what secrets this pendant holds and save Britannia from these new threats.

For more information on the game, please check out its official Steam page here.

The Mysterious Cave

Tristan and Tioreh go to the lake where Escanor fought against Estarossa, one of the Elite Demons from the Ten Commandments. The duo decides to investigate the area for any unusual discoveries.

Tioreh finds a tree that has managed to withstand the destruction. When Tristan touches the tree, it opens the path to a cave.

There’s a ditch inside the cave, and Tioreh pushes you down into it. Now, you’ll enter the sequence where you’ll be riding Tioreh’s pet dragon inside the tunnel.

Here, you can shoot the fireballs to burn the trees, but you’ll have to use movement to avoid the crystals. If you hit an obstacle, you’ll lose some HP, but keep going, and you’ll eventually reach the ground.

Investigating The Cave

Once you reach the bottom of the tunnel, you’ll find yourself against a few enemies. There’s a gate ahead. Tioreh stands on one switch, and you’ll have to stand on the other one to open the path ahead.

As you walk inside the new area, you’ll find a glowing object on a pedestal. Interact with it to obtain the pendant. However, many enemies will appear.

Defeat all the enemies alongside Tioreh, and the mysterious power in the cave will construct a gigantic golem. You have to take away around 60% of this golem’s HP.

After you’ve done so, it will trigger a cutscene where the duo manages to escape the golem. You’ll enter a new section now.

Getting Out Of The Cave

From here, if you go ahead, you’ll find a cube in front of a gate. There’s a constellation stone nearby. Approach the constellation stone first and press the corresponding buttons to get the charges for the Book of Stars.

After that, approach the cube and open the Book of Stars interface. You’ll be able to pick the cube from the ground. Approach the gate, and you’ll be able to put the cube inside the gate. You can rotate it as well if need be.

There’s a body of water inside the cave. You can dive into it. Swim to the marked location, and you’ll be able to resurface in another location. Here, you have to climb the rock to reach where Tioreh is.

Tioreh will then grab you and lead you out into the open world. Here, you’ll spot Hawk being chased by an Ancient Dragon. If you approach the location where Hawk jumped into the water, you can get him to join you on your journey.

The Swamp

As you’re talking with Hawk, he’ll spot a gigantic frog nearby. Approach the marsh, and here, you’ll have to defeat a total of four enemies.

You can defeat any enemy in the area. Once you’ve defeated four enemies, Hawk will get pricked by one of the frogs, and you’ll have to craft some medicine to heal him. This will activate the fetch quest.

Now, you have to find Dandelion Roots in the marsh. Once you’ve gathered that, you’ll need wood. Go to the marked tree and attack it until it breaks. You’ll then be able to pick up the wood from the ground.

The game then teaches you how to build a workbench. Open the workbench and select the healing potion from it. The Simple HP Recovery Potion will consume a Dandelion Root, and you have to craft a total of two of them.

There’s also a strange statue nearby, and you can get healed here. After that, you’ll be able to draw on the banner. The next step is to head over to the team formation and check out the new Heroes that you have obtained, and add them to the party.

Exploring The Open-World

After that, you have to go to the marked location nearby. You’ll find a Locus Golem here. It has a strange cube stuck inside of it. Once you’ve defeated the golem, you’ll be able to pick up the cube using the Book of Stars.

There’s a mechanism nearby where you can put the cube, and that will unlock a treasure chest. There’s also an entrance to the cave here, but vines block it.

Attack the fire mechanism near the vines with a fire element character, such as Triston or Tioreh, and that will get rid of the vines and open the path for you. There’s a chest inside, along with some other items.

Now, you have to move towards the nearby Warp Point. When you interact with a Warp Point for the first time, it reveals the surrounding area on the map. You can also fast-travel to these Warp Points.

After you’ve activated the Warp Point, Hawk will start to get hungry. He starts running near some mushrooms. You’ll have to follow him.

Shortly after, Hawk will stop in front of a tree. There’s some honey on top of the tree here. Go to the mushroom in front of the tree and jump on it. You’ll find the honey in the tree.

Tristan suggests cooking something up with the honey, but they lack the proper ingredients. Now, you’ll have to go to the Hunter’s Hut.

Learning To Cook And A Strange Plant

The Hunter’s Hut is located at a short distance away from where you obtained the honey. Approach the hunter, and he’ll give you a glider. He’ll ask you to get him some flint from the top of the cliff, and he’ll be able to teach you how to cook.

Here, switch to Tioreh. Use her grappling hook ability to get to the top of the cliff easily. There’s a rock here. Keep attacking it, and you’ll obtain the iron ore and flint from it. Return to the hunter after that.

Interact with the tiny campfire nearby, and you’ll be able to cook some Honey Milk. After that, Hawk will become available to ride. You have to go near the Capital of Liones.

Here, you can use auto move, or simply go to the marked location manually. You’ll find a strange black plant here, and it has caused the ground nearby to turn black.

As you approach the plant, you’ll be attacked by some monsters. Defeat them. It will appear that you can’t get rid of the black plant. Tioreh suggests going to the Capital to get some help.

Here, you’ll enter the tutorial section where you’ll have to level up the mastery of the hero. Mastery is like the level of your characters, and increasing it also improves their combat capabilities.

The Capital Of Liones

As you arrive in the Capital, you’ll see a familiar face. It’s Howzer. After the introductions are done, before Tristan can report about the black plant, a guard arrives and warns about the attack in the town square.

When you go there, you’ll find Marmas, a Holy Knight who was supposedly dead. Marmas is causing a rampage in the area, and you’ll have to fight against him.

Marmas uses AOE attacks, and you’d be able to avoid them if you can step out of the attack’s range. The range is shown by a red circle before it commences, and you can easily dash out of the range.

After you’ve defeated Marmas, the black coating on him will disappear, and he’ll come to his senses. Howzer asks the guard to treat Marmas and tells Tristan and Tioreh to head to the castle. Hawk parts ways here, asking to join you later, once you’re done at the castle.

Bartra’s Vision

Now, you have to follow Howzer and get to the castle. Here, you’ll meet Bartra, Elizabeth’s father. It appears that Queen Elizabeth and King Melodias are somewhere outside of the kingdom right now.

Bartra sees a vision where Liones is doomed. Tristan also reveals his pendant to the scholars and Bartra, but no one seems to know anything about it. Bartra wants to send an envoy to the Fairy King, but refuses to let Tristan go there.

Shortly after, Howzer will finally manage to convince Bartra to send Tristan to the Fairy King’s land, but before that, he’ll have to get rid of the problems Liones is currently facing.

Exit the castle, and now, you’ll have to head towards the south gate. There’s a tower here. Get inside the tower and talk to the guard on top. He’ll allow you to borrow one of the owls.

These owls allow you to get to the quest location fast. However, it’s more like a one-way trip with them, and they’ll leave once they drop you off at the destination.

Fly on the owl by remaining inside the rings. You’ll eventually arrive at the large bird’s nest.

Giant Bird

As Tristan approaches the nest, he’ll shortly be attacked by a gigantic blue bird. You’ll have to fight against it. The bird is quite strong, but if you’ve leveled up the mastery of even one of your characters, you’ll be able to manage it just fine.

After you’ve defeated the blue bird, it will wake up once again to attack you, but Howzer makes it in time and defeats it.

Howzer will now join your party as a character. You can add him to your team as you make preparations to head towards the next problem.

Before you go anywhere, you can interact with the Reward Cube after defeating the Giant Bird. You’ll have to spend some Cube Keys to get the rewards.

Bigmoss

Next, you have to go towards Bigmoss’ location. Open the world map and teleport to the area near the big green monster.

Once you get there, head inside the cave. The party finds a mysterious scholar here. The scholar manages to repel Big Moss, but you’ll have to intervene and defeat it.

After the battle, the scholar will reveal herself to be Clotho. She knows a lot more about the mysterious pendant and asks you to look for the misplaced constellation stones.

Once again, don’t forget to receive the rewards from the cube by spending five Cube Keys before leaving the area.

A Misplaced Constellation Stone

The area where Clotho asked you to look is quite far away. Activate Auto Move or go there manually. Once you get there, you’ll find a man here.

Talk to him, and he’ll tell you about the werebears. The party suspects that this group of werebears might be carrying a Constellation Stone.

Move towards the werebear camp nearby. The quest marker will lead you just outside of the camp. After that, you’ll have to go inside the camp.

After you get there, you’ll find a Constellation Stone in the middle of the camp. Meanwhile, the Werebear Chieftain will also arrive with reinforcements.

You’ll have to fight against them and defeat them. After defeating them, you can obtain the rewards from the Reward Cube.

The Chieftain mentioned that they picked up the Constellation Stone from the lake. Now, you’ll have to head to the western pier of Lake Pernes.

Diving Deep In Lake Pernes

At the lake, the pendant will react to something underwater. You’ll have to dive deep into the water. There’s a gate at the bottom of the lake. When you open it, you’ll be able to go deeper.

There’s an altar under the water. Interact with it, and that will drain the area of all the water, opening a path leading to somewhere else.

As you get into the cave, you’ll find a table with some blueprints about the Book of Stars. You can get there by following the quest marker.

Hawk spots some footprints here. You’ll then have to head to the gigantic bookshelf. Interact with it, and Tioreh will be able to unlock a hidden area behind the bookshelf by pulling out a book.

Here, you’ll find a door, but you have to fill the three cubes inside the door. You can pick up the cubes by using the Book of Stars and rotating them according to need.

Once you’ve solved the puzzle, it will open the gate. Once the gate opens, you’ll find a portal here.

Cradle Of Stars

As you interact with the portal, you’ll arrive in a new location. The gate here is locked by two switches on the ground. You can pick up the cube here using the Book of Stars and place the giant cube on one of the switches.

Stand on the other switch yourself to unlock the gate. As the gate opens, you’ll notice that this location is the same one where you found the pendant for the first time.

The body of the guardian golem is still there, and it has a glowing orb on it. Approaching the golem will cause some enemies to appear nearby.

After defeating the enemies, Tristan will be able to interact with the orb on the golem’s body. This will cause Tristan to see a vision of the past.

The Book of Stars then points towards a nearby Constellation Stone. You’ll have to approach it and press the buttons shown on the screen.

Restoring Destroyed Objects

Suddenly, a pillar comes crashing down inside the cave, blocking the path. Now, you’ll have to approach the marked location and open the Book of Stars. Here, you don’t have to interact with the objects as you’d do with the small cubes.

You only have to scan each object, and they’ll get selected. Select each of the three pieces of the pillar and press the button to restore them.

This will cause the pillar to be repaired. Now, you’ll arrive back in the area with the giant bookshelf and the blueprints. Head out of the area and interact with the altar.

This will cause the area to become filled with water once again, and you’ll be able to get back to the surface from here.

Once you’re back on the surface, return to the Capital and head towards the horse statue that got broken by Marmas.

Open the Book of Stars and select all the broken pieces of the statue. There are a total of four pieces that you’ll have to select. Restore the statue, and Howzer will permit you to go to the Fairy King’s land, but he’ll be coming with you.

Setting Off For The Fairy King’s Kingdom

At the town square, Clotho will also arrive. She promises to help you whenever you need her help, and also offers to translate the blueprints and the research log that you obtained from the last area.

Now you’ll have to head towards the west gate of the capital. Follow the quest marker, and you’ll find a lady called Yulia here. She’ll give you new clothes, a gift from your grandfather, Bartra.

You’ll then have to exit from the west gate. Make for the harbor from there. You’ll find a troubled merchant here. He points you towards a wreck of a ship nearby.

Here, you have to scan each piece of the ship and restore it. There are a total of seven pieces here. Once you’ve restored the ship, it will be ready to set sail. This will also mark the completion of Act 1.
