The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin Walkthrough

The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin takes you on a journey as Prince Tristan, who uses his mysterious pendant called the Book of Stars to purge the corruption and get rid of the Abyss Flowers. Act 12: Fortress In Peril

After completing Act 11, the next quest point towards Fort Solgres is located to the northeast of the Orlian’s Cave and to the north of Vanya.

When you reach the quest point, you’ll find a crossroad here. Not only that, but the surrounding area is afflicted with corruption.

The next quest point leads you to Fort Solgres, and it is located to the northwest of the crossroads. The path leading to the fort is straightforward, but you’ll encounter a ton of Abyss Monsters on the way.

You can simply dash past them or fight against them if you wish, but they’ll keep coming at you in significant numbers as you keep progressing towards the fort.

Arrival In Fort Solgres

When you finally arrive at the fort, you’ll find out that it is mostly destroyed and currently under attack by the Barbarians.

There’s a soldier called Nars here. He’ll spot you, and you’ll have to go and talk to him. As you talk to him, it will be revealed that the Barbarians also have an Ancient Dragon on their side, and it is the one that has caused so much damage to the fort.

Now, you’ll have to enter Fort Solgres. The battle is currently ongoing, and Liones Soldiers are still fighting against the Barbarians.

As you enter the fortress, you’ll see an Ancient Dragon breathing fire all over the place. You have to run and get to the quest location.

Getting The Ancient Dragon To The Ground

Dredrin suggests using a ballista to bring down the Ancient Dragon from the air. However, before that, you’ll have to fight and defeat four Barbarian Warriors near the ballista.

Once you’ve defeated the Barbarian Warriors nearby, get on the ballista and aim at the dragon. It will take a few shots to bring the Ancient Dragon to the ground, but as soon as it’s down, you’ll have to attack it because the dragon will be stunned.

The Ancient Dragon mostly uses melee attacks, where it thrashes around its skull or swipes its tail. It will also occasionally breathe fire, so watch out for that.

Once the Ancient Dragon is down, you’ll have to help out the rest of the Liones Soldiers by defeating at least 15 Barbarian Warriors in the area.

Fully Bloomed Abyss Flower

After you’ve defeated at least 15 Barbarian Warriors, Tristan will notice that they all have an Abyss Fragment attached to them. Tristan tries to heal them.

However, suddenly, Hawk notices the smell, but before they can do anything, a gigantic Abyss Flower will appear out of nowhere. It is a fully bloomed flower, bigger than any you’ve seen so far.

The flower causes corruption to flow towards the fort from all directions. After finishing the cutscene, you’ll enter a short story sequence where you play as Tristan, controlling the Book of Stars.

Here, you have to shoot the ray from the Book of Stars by using the Normal Skill button to deal damage to Abyss Monsters in a straight line.

You can also press the Special Skill button, and Tristan will use the Book of Stars to destroy any nearby Abyss Monsters with a massive blast. Note that both skills have cooldowns. This Special Skill can save you whenever you get crowded.

In this sequence, you have to survive for as long as possible. After a while, when you’re surrounded by Abyss Monsters, the sequence will end.

Parting Gift

A cutscene will trigger after the story sequence, and after it, you’ll find the Book of Stars shattered. Mr. Sarasik will finally start showing his true colors, where he picks up the shattered Book of Stars and absorbs its powers.

Sarasik will then transform, and it appears that now he has a corrupted replica of the Book of Stars. He’ll then summon a ton of Abyss Monsters.

Here, you have to defeat at least 15 Abyss Monsters. When the battle is over, Clotho will appear out of nowhere. She creates a barrier around you, protecting you from the Abyss Monsters.

Talk to Clotho inside the barrier she created. This will trigger another cutscene where Clotho turns the shattered Book of Stars into a flying kitty. At the end of this cutscene, Sarasik will leave, but he leaves a parting gift with you, a Corrupted Ancient Dragon.

The Corrupted Ancient Dragon

In the battle against the Corrupted Ancient Dragon, you have a time limit. If you’re unable to defeat the boss in these 15 minutes, you’ll have to do the entire thing again.

It is recommended that you have the battle prowess of at least 15,000 to comfortably and easily defeat this boss. But it is manageable, even if you have a little less.

First Phase

As soon as the battle begins, the Corrupted Ancient Dragon will shoot spheres of drak energy towards you. You’ll have to immediately dash to the sides.

The boss will then come to the ground. You’ll have to attack it, but watch out for the attack where it glows red and breathes fire out of its mouth, covering a wide area in front of it. You can spot it by the red indication markers on the ground, but you have to be very quick to successfully get out of the range.

Second Phase

The second phase triggers after you’ve depleted 40% of its HP. The boss will fly up in the sky and sit on the fort’s walls. It will then start to breathe fire and throw blasts on the ground from above.

Watch out for the red indication markings on the ground and avoid the attacks by getting out of their range. The boss will also create many cyclones, and you’ll have to avoid those as well.

After that, the Corrupted Ancient Dragon will attack the entire field, covering it in black flames. If you land on it, you’ll take damage. You can avoid it as much as possible by jumping, dashing, and then gliding in the air.

This way, you’ll be able to minimize contact with the ground until the fire goes out. The boss will then return to the ground, and you can continue your offense as usual.

The boss will often go up in the air to breathe fire on the ground. It may also come charging at you from the air.

Third Phase

When you’ve depleted 50% of its HP, the Corrupted Ancient Dragon will unlock new attacks. It may also unleash a gigantic area-wide attack, which is pretty difficult to dodge, but you can attack him to stun him.

However, you can also easily avoid these attacks if you’re unable to fill the stun meter by timing your character’s Special Skills. Triggering the Special Skills at the correct timing will allow you to avoid the attack easily, and this is true for any other attack as well, if you can’t dash out of range.

Once the Corrupted Ancient Dragon is at 40% HP, it will fly into the air again, throwing spherical blasts on the ground. The Book of Stars will also come out now, and it will create a barrier in the middle of the field.

Here, you have to rush to the barrier and get inside it immediately. You’ll still have to avoid the falling blasts, but shortly after, the boss will unleash a devastating attack, and if you’re not inside the barrier, the battle will end in your loss.

The Book of Stars successfully counters the Corrupted Ancient Dragon’s attack, making it fall down the wall. For the rest of the battle, the boss’s attack becomes more aggressive, and it will also occasionally fly and sit on the wall.

Once it does so, you’ll have to wait for the sequence to finish and avoid any blasts on the ground by watching the red markings.

After you’ve finally defeated the Corrupted Ancient Dragon within the limited time, you’ll see the cutscene. The cutscene will also mark the ending of Act 12.
