Act 4: Eternal Rest

After completing Act 3-B, the Book of Stars will point you towards your next destination. As you get there, you’ll find that an Abyss Flower has taken root inside the Fairy King’s Forest.

This Abyss Flower has grown a lot and is just about to bloom. You’ll also find Daisy here. As you stand there, several Abyss Monsters will spawn from the darkness beneath the flower.

You have to defeat a total of five enemies here. After you’ve defeated the enemies, Harlequin will arrive on the scene. He asks to stay behind to watch over the flower, while Tristan and his party can look for a way to remove them.

Tristan suggests that if the party were to retrieve the research logs from Clotho, Daisy might be able to figure out a way to make the Book of Stars purify these Abyss Flowers.

Secrets In The Library

You’ll then have to go to the Royal Library of Liones to find Clotho. Return to Liones. The Royal Library is on the western side of the city.

As you enter the library, you’ll find Clotho next to the shelves. Clotho reveals the secrets about the Abyss flowers and how they spread corruption, but she also withholds a lot of information from the party.

Clotho says that the research log would be of no help, but if you were to go to the West Liones Beach, you might find a way to figure out something.

Go to the west beach. It is in the northwest direction of the Liones Castle. When you get there, you’ll find Dreyfus. An Abyss Flower has also sprouted on the beach.

Some monsters will spawn from the flower, and you’ll have to defeat them. Defeat at least seven enemies to progress. While the party is having a conversation, a fisherman will arrive to report on the situation on a nearby island.

The name of this island is Farewell Island, and it holds a special meaning for Daisy. She wants to go there and check out the situation, since the fisherman reported that the island was full of corruption.

Path To The Farewell Island

There’s a ship on the nearby docks. Board the ship, and you’ll have to keep going on the water as the island is a little far away.

When you get to the marked location, you’ll find that there are a ton of corruption mines floating in the ocean around Farewell Island.

You’ll have to make a stop on a small island near the Farewell Island to find a way to get to it. When you land on the small island, go to the other side, and here, you’ll find several small boats.

When you board the small boat, a timer will start, and you have to make it to the destination in five minutes. There are waves in the ocean, and if you ride your boat over these waves, you’ll be able to jump a significant distance or move at great speed.

At the beginning of the course, you’ll find a wrecked ship; there’s also a whirlpool before the ship. Afterward, some of the area beyond the ship is covered in corruption.

You have to jump between the two pieces of the shipwreck to get to the other side and avoid the corrupted waters. After that, you just have to control the boat to avoid the mines in the sea, and you’ll be able to reach the destination with ease.

Rest Interrupted

After landing on the Farewell Island, you have to follow Daisy. She’ll lead you to a giant memorial. There are several Abyss Flowers here, and a Constellation Stone in the middle.

When you get there, you’ll have to fight multiple Abyss enemies, who are trying to target Daisy. You have to make sure Daisy’s HP doesn’t fall to 0. You can find her health bar in the top-left corner of the screen, just below the quest details. Defeat 15 Abyss monsters, and an even bigger Abyss Monster will show up.

Now, you’ll have to fight against the Howling Servant of the Abyss. Dreyfus will fight alongside you, and some small Abyss enemies will also show up during the battle to attack Daisy.

After you’ve successfully defeated the monster, the Abyss tentacles will try to attack Daisy.

Power To Purify

During the cutscene, the Book of Stars will freeze time in the area, and only Tristan can move freely. The Book of Stars will then absorb the power from the constellation stone in the middle of the area and purify the tentacles that were about to attack Daisy.

Once the cutscene is over, interact with the constellation stone to get the Purification ability. Use this newly obtained ability to purify the four Abyss Flowers on Farewell Island.

The headstone is also broken, and now, you’ll have to restore it. There’s a constellation stone for the Restoration power to the east, near where there used to be an Abyss Flower.

Once you get the Restoration ability, go to the centre of the location, and you’ll find the broken pieces of the headstone.

Scan all the broken pieces and then press the restore button, and the headstone will be as good as new.

Parting Ways

Now, you’ll have to go back to the West Beach with Dreyfus. Daisy decides to stay behind. You can fast-travel to the Warp Point on the West Liones Beach to get there quickly.

When you get there, Dreyfus will immediately receive the task to head to Ferzen, a mining town. Dreyfus then tells Tristan to return to the Fairy King’s Forest, and he heads to Ferzen by himself alone.

Now, you have to return to the Fairy King’s Forest and go to Harlequin, who will be waiting for you near the Abyss Flower.

When you get there, you’ll find the Fairy King fighting against Abyss Monsters. Defeat five of them, and you’ll be able to talk to King.

After that, you have to purify the Abyss Flower. You can find a constellation stone to the right to get the Purification ability, if you don’t already have it.

Use the ability on the Abyss Flower, and it will disappear. This will also mark the completion of Act 4.
