Act 5: Mine Invaders

After you’ve helped King by purifying the Abyss Flower, you’ll have to go north in the Fairy King’s Forest to meet up with Howzer.

You can find him near the Aquatree Lake Warp Point. When you reach him, you’ll find him standing near another Abyss Flower.

Purify the Abyss Flower using the newly obtained power of the Book of Stars. If the Purification ability isn’t active, you can activate it using the nearby constellation stone.

Now, Tristan and his party set out for Ferzen, where Dreyfus was supposedly headed. You’ll have to pass through the Dragon’s Grave region first.

From the crossroads near the Dragon’s Grave, go east, and you’ll get to the next quest point.

Journey To Ferzen

Here, you’ll find some people who need help and are being terrorized by a Wild Dragon. Defeat the dragon and then talk to the family.

Benjer will reveal that his family left Ferzen after a monster appeared from the mines, and he had left the town with his family.

From there, you have to keep going towards the northeast. You’ll eventually come across a warp point in Ferzen Entrance. There’s a traveler here, and you’ll have to talk to him.

The traveler reveals that a Holy Knight from the kingdom arrived a while ago, and he has been protecting the town since then.

Holy Knight In Ferzen

Stay on the path, and you’ll eventually arrive in Ferzen. After arriving in the town, go to the town square. Here, you’ll find a man who’s telling the other townspeople that the Holy Knight is more dangerous than the monsters from the mine.

It turns out, this Holy Knight was Dreyfus. When Dreyfus arrives on the scene, the man called Kilian leaves. Go and talk to Dreyfus.

When you talk to him, he’s behaving a little strangely. Dreyfus will tell you that he wasn’t able to kill the monster inside the mines, but he did manage to trap them in.

Dreyfus will then leave. Now, you’ll have to go and talk to Kilian. When you go and talk to him, he’ll reveal that he saw Dreyfus drain the life out of some guards.

Checking Out The Mines

Now, you’ll have to take a look at the mines. You can get there from the station in the northeast part of the town. When you get to the station, you’ll find three platforms.

These platforms are lifts, and you’ll have to step up on the left platform. It will take you all the way up towards the mine’s entrance.

Once you’ve reached above, find the Warp Point and activate it, and then go towards the quest destination.

Here, you’ll find Dreyfus. He’s heading towards the mines, and you’ll have to tail him. Keep your distance and walk. If you run, Dreyfus will hear you.

Make sure you hide behind objects while Dreyfus is checking out the surroundings to avoid getting spotted. Dreyfus will then stop shortly before the mine’s entrance. You have to hide behind the large rock here.

Trouble In The Mines

A cutscene will play where two miners are being chased out by a group of monsters. Dreyfus defeats the monsters, and Tristan will go and talk to him after that.

Dreyfus will leave after asking Tristan and the others to leave this place and return to Liones. Now, you’ll have to go and talk to the miners who escaped from the mine earlier.

They’ll tell you that Dreyfus was the one who had been dealing with the monsters inside the mine. They’ll also reveal that the soldiers from Liones have all been bedridden by a strange sickness, as if their life was sucked out of them, and have been unable to wake up.

The miners ask you to talk to Forger. They’ll tell you that you can find him by the big forge in the town.

Fraudrin

Go back to Ferzen. Here, you’ll find that Dreyfus is about to attack Forger, but he stops, and appears to be fighting against himself inside his head.

When Dreyfus recovers, the mark of one of the Ten Commandments is visible on his face. It is actually Fraudrin, who has taken over Dreyfus’s body. He’ll then leave, and you’ll be able to talk to Forger.

Forger asks you to protect the townspeople from Dreyfus, and then you’ll hear a scream from the town square.

When you reach the town square, you’ll have to fight against Fraudrin of Selflessness. He’s incredibly strong, and it’s recommended to properly level your mastery and upgrade your weapons before you face him.

After you’ve defeated him, he’ll run away. It appears that Dreyfus, who was in Fraudrin’s control in the past, was brought to the present. The whereabouts of the Dreyfus of the present are currently unknown.

Descending In The Mines

Now, you have to go and talk to Forger again. Forger will reveal that the monsters inside the mine are inhabitants of the Sand Valley, and there’s also news of corruption and likely an Abyss Flower inside the mines.

After talking with Forger, teleport to the Tunnel Entrance Warp Point. As you go inside the tunnel, you’ll find that the lift is blocked by corruption.

You can find a Purification constellation stone nearby and purify the corruption to progress ahead. The lift will become active again. You’ll have to enter it and operate the switch.

From here, you’ll encounter many enemies. You can fight against them, or you can simply dash past them towards the next quest point, much deeper into the mines.

When you finally reach the quest location, you’ll enter a new area. You’ll see a short cutscene, and then you can progress ahead. Go deeper in the area.

You’ll find many enemies here, but there’s also a cart towards the other end of the section. The cart is broken, but there’s a monster here, a Walker, to be precise. He’s hidden behind the broken cart’s platform.

Hear what the Walker has to say, and then walk up on the platform next to the cart. You’ll then have to restore the broken cart. You can find a Restoration constellation stone to activate the Restoration Ability.

Scan all the broken pieces of the cart and restore it. The Walker will tell you how to control the cart, and then he’ll jump on it. You’ll also have to get on the cart and then press the corresponding button to initiate the ride.

The Walkers And The Gorras

After a long ride on the cart, you’ll arrive in the depths of the mine. Here, you’ll find that many Walkers are forcing the smaller Gorra to mine for them.

First, you’ll have to defeat the Walkers here. Once you do so, the Gorras that you have saved will ask you to go and meet their leader, Tata Komi.

The Gorra will also disguise you to look like a Walker. Now, progress ahead. You’ll encounter many Gorra on the way that will tell you where to go to reach Tata Komi.

When you reach Tata Komi, they’ll tell you all about what’s going on in the mines. Another Gorra will come running, and they’ll report that some of the Gorra are under attack by Waralga, Walker’s leader.

Abandoned Mine

When you head out of the base with Tata Komi, you’ll find Waralga and some of his Walkers with the Gorra. Waralga will exit the area, leaving behind the Walkers to fight against you.

Here, you’ll have to defeat at least nine walkers to progress. Once you’ve defeated them, Tata Komi will tell you that Waralga is likely at the Abandoned Mines, just a little deeper into the area.

Follow the quest marker, and here, you’ll find a Walker. Defeat it, and you’ll obtain the key. Use the key on the gate the Walker was guarding, and you’ll be able to reach the next area.

Here, you’ll find many walkers. Defeat all of them and make your way to the door on the right. As you open the door, you’ll find many platforms going up and down.

Jump on the platform going down, and you’ll find a cliff shortly downward. Drop on this cliff, and you’ll be able to reach Waralga.

Waralga

As you enter the room, you’ll find that the Abyss Flower here has almost bloomed. You’ll then have to fight against Waralga.

Most of his attacks cover a short range in front of him, so you can circle towards his back and keep attacking him.

Waralga can also use ranged attacks, but they’re very linear, and you can dash to the sides to avoid these attacks.

After you’ve defeated Waralga, he’ll run away. You’ll then have to purify the Abyss Flower.

Then, you’ll have to talk to Tata Komi. They’ll tell you that Waralga has a brother, and he has taken control of the Sand Valley, which is home to the Gorra. Now, you’ll have to head to the Sand Valley and get rid of Waralga’s brother.

After you’ve talked to Tata Komi, you’ll have to sit on the cart and ride it to travel to the Sand Valley. This will complete Act 5.
