Weeping Swan: Ten Days Of The City’s Fall is a visual novel in which the path to the goal is just as important as the destination itself, and the walkthrough for this game does justice to that philosophy. During the ten challenging days, you will be making difficult decisions, finding out more about what is going on in the city, and exploring and solving a few puzzles. The following walkthrough will not contain any explicit spoilers to allow you to experience the full immersion into the story; however, expect it to provide a balance of guidance and freedom.
Chronicle Chapter 3 : Plunder
In Chapter 3 there are three specific choices that you can make – that all lead to death. The chapter opens with Zhiyou still in the Right Chamber and a young girl in his wine vat. He wonders why this child looks exactly like Su Lianyan. Zhiyou cannot exactly remember his past due to his disease so he cannot clearly remember what happened when young Su Lianyan dragged him by the hand and tried to escape all those years ago. He then checks if Little Yan is indeed real and not a ghost. An incessant thudding on the doors makes Zhiyou ask Little Yan to hide under his bed. It was a Boar Demon, Zhi. He was dressed in blue and was asking for money. Zhiyou checks his savings for 42 taels of silver. You will now be faced with the choice of how many taels to give to the marauder. Three taels is what would work here.
Zhiyou then talks with Yan and asks her how she came to be at his house. She doesn’t remember. But she remembers she came over the Twenty Four Bridge. Another demon at the doors. It’s a white armored Leopard demon, along with Old Man Lin. He will advise to provide 3 taels of silver. After you do you will have the choice to pay 1 tael to Old Man Lin or not.
If you refuse to pay or pay him, he will leave a small note for Zhiyou. The note said that the human residents wont last too long. Yan shows up and Zhiyou goes to the Right Chamber to look out the window once more. Zhiyou realizes once he runs out of money, he will be killed. He decides to make a run for it when there is another knock on the door. He asks Yan to hide in the wine vat and heads to the door. On the way he picks up a small razor. It was a red eagle demon. This one can talk and Zhiyou tries negotiating with him. You will have two choices now to either lock the Eagle demon in the right chamber and flee or do nothing and watch him take the silver.
Selecting to attack the Eagle demon with the razor will lead to one of the bad endings. So let him enter the house and wait for an opportunity. When the Eagle demon is inside the Left Chamber, you will have 3 choices. To stab him, to lock him in the chamber or just let him take the silver.
Once again, choosing to stab the eagle would lead to death. If you choose to lock him in the room and run, you can grab Yan and head out of the house. The third option of letting the demon take all the silver will also lead to a death ending.
