All Will Fall – Ultimate Tips And Tricks Guide for Beginners

All Will Fall Tips Featured

All Will Fall is a city builder, but it is going to be a little different from the average game in this genre. The setting is post-apocalyptic, so you will have to build a colony and manage it carefully. However, do keep in mind that your structures can collapse, which makes things more challenging than usual. For more information, you can head over to its Steam page.

As the game features complicated systems that can take time to get used to, you may need some assistance while starting out. So, here in this guide, I will provide you with some of my best tips and tricks that can help beginners have a better and smoother start in All Will Fall.

Disclaimer

This beginner’s tips and tricks guide for All Will Fall is based on my personal playthrough. It highlights the advice and insights I wish I had when I first started the game. Since All Will Fall can be quite complex, you may come across challenges that aren’t covered in my tips, so you might not find every specific solution.

Do Not Rush

This is one of my go-to tips in colony simulations like All Will Fall. It may seem very simple at first glance, but believe me, it is not as easy as it sounds. In such games, rushing toward building your colony may seem like the right thing to do, but it can actually make the game more confusing and overwhelming for you. You should take it slow and try to understand all of the mechanics as you progress further.

There is no need to rush at all. Simply take your time and make a layout according to your preference and comfort. Rushing and thinking that you can fix things afterward will not really work in your favor. It will feel like a drag to fix the things you left for later, so make sure to be precise and careful right from the very beginning.

Plan Your Layout Before You Start Building

This game is a little different from other city builders in the genre. It is harsher and can become frustrating when more and more of your structures start to fall apart unexpectedly. So, to prevent this from happening, you need to plan your layout properly in advance. You need to design a layout that helps your workers the most and saves their time.

If you place buildings so that workers need to be too far away from each other, traveling will take a lot of time. This will waste your time and efficiency, so you need to prevent that by keeping worker routes as short as possible. Your food storage should always be placed near the areas where you gather food resources.

This way, workers will not have to travel too much, and you will get more food supplies in less time. In city builders, such small things matter a lot in the long run. You need to preserve time and be as efficient as possible. Your workers are extremely slow, and if the distance is long, they will take too much time to reach their destination. The lost time will result in fewer resources overall. So, building everything close together is very important.

Build Horizontally First

Your workers need a home, so make sure to build them as early as possible.

As mentioned before, the structures in this game can collapse quite easily if not managed properly. So, if you focus too much on building your colony vertically at the start, your structures are most likely going to collapse sooner or later. This game has a pretty solid physics system, which can be really harsh on you if you build vertically too early in the game.

So, the best way to deal with this is by building a strong base horizontally first. You need to distribute weight equally and properly, as structures collapse more often in this game compared to others. Even if you think a structure seems safe for now, it may not stay that way as you continue building more on top of it.

So, build horizontally, and when you think you have enough space and stability and can manage building vertically, you can start doing so. However, be sure to distribute the weight equally and carefully. Do not rush too much and try to keep your pace steady and controlled.

Keep the Morale Stable

House All Will Fall

This is yet another very common and important mechanic in city builders. You need to keep the morale of your people up at all times. If it goes down, it will cause a lot of problems for you and your colony. If you are not already aware, every faction in this game tracks morale separately. So, if it drops too low, it can even lead to strikes.

You need to prevent morale from dropping this low at all costs. That is because when this happens, the people who go on strike will completely stop working. They will just refuse to do anything. This can happen when you are short on food and water supplies. Not providing enough shelter for your people can also result in low morale.

You need to keep the food supply in check, as that is going to be extremely important for survival. Also, make sure everyone has proper shelter. Try to build the buildings for each faction as early as you can so you can prevent morale from dropping later in the game.

Keep your eye on how the people are reacting at all times. If morale is dropping, you need to fix the problem as soon as possible without delay. If you do not, and the morale drops too much, it will take you a lot more time and effort to fix the situation. So, you need to be very aware of your people all the time.

Make a Manual Save After the Storm Warning

Storms happen in this game, and they can be very brutal and destructive. However, the game gives you a warning before a storm comes and damages your colony. Now, you may think there is nothing you can do to reduce the damage, but there are actually a few simple things you can do.

This may seem underwhelming when compared to my other tips of All Will Fall, but make a manual save before the storm hits your colony. If the storm does more damage than you anticipated, you can always load your save and make better preparations accordingly. This, to me, is one of the best solutions, as it lets you improve your approach and do better than before.

Now, before the storm appears, the main things you need to keep in check are the lower structures, especially the ones carrying most of the weight. You need to make them stronger and more sturdy, because if they fall, your colony will suffer a great loss. So, reinforce them properly, and you should be good to go.

This does not mean that the storm will not damage your colony at all. There will still be some damage, but if you are prepared well enough, it will not be too much or too devastating. However, if you have enough fuel, you can escape the storm without any damage.

Understand the Tide

Low tide in All Will Fall

Learn how the tides work and do not build in areas where flooding happens regularly. If you build in those particular areas, you will eventually have to remove the structure, so it is better not to build there at all in the first place. So, you need to understand that low tide is extremely important in this game.

When low tide happens, you can gather some valuable resources, but only for a very limited time. So, when it happens, immediately assign your workers so they can grab as many resources as possible within that time window. On the other hand, high tide brings trade ships to your colony. This is also very important, as you may find some useful resources and trading opportunities.

Gather As Much Fuel As Possible And Eventually Make Your Own Fuel

In this game, as you finish the tutorial area, you will know how important fuel is. As you start the broken tanker map, you will get tons of fuel, but it will be used very quickly. It costs 60 fuel to move the ship to the other area mainly because of the storm. You do not want your ship to get damaged, and for that to happen, you will need enough supply of fuel.

You will need a lot of fuel for the explosives, so you will run out of it before you know it. That will cause the storm to damage your structures, and you may have to start again. To prevent that from happening, you will need to be careful with your fuel usage, and do note that you can also make your own fuel.

You can do that by researching some new buildings in the small lab and then making them. It will take some time, but you should have enough fuel to last until you make your own production, so make sure to give it a priority if you want to keep surviving in the game.

That is pretty much it for my beginner’s tips and tricks guide in All Will Fall.
