1. Find Red and Blue Berries

Collecting the Blur Berries in Angst: A Tale of Survival is essential in every aspect. You can find the red berries just outside the cabin. However, the blueberries are obtained from the west side of the map. However, you won’t be able to access this area right away. You need to repair the northwest bridge to reach the blueberry bushes.
Once you have the berries in your inventory, you can consume them directly to maintain your food level. If you don’t consume the berries, you will eventually die. You can also cook the berries at the campfire or the stove in the cabin to gain more benefits from the cooked berries.
Make sure to harvest the berries if you find them on your way. You can see the food gauge from the top left side of the screen. Consume the berries or other food items like mushrooms to replenish the gauge.
2. Collect Multiple Wood, sticks, and rocks

Wood, sticks, and Rocks are the basic items in your inventory that you need to have in your backpack in large quantities. Anything you craft in Angst: A Tale Of Survival may require these basic items. Rock is obtained while just exploring the area outside the cabin. Wood and sticks can be obtained by cutting down the trees. A Stone Axe is required to cut down the tree. You need to craft the Axe using the required materials.
The materials you need to craft the Stone Axe at the crafting menu are the 2xRock and 1xStick. Once you get the required materials, open your inventory and move into the Crafting section. The materials you collect are already allocated to the Stone Axe. Just hold the Spacebar to craft the Axe. You will now be holding an axe to cut down the tree. Use the Axe to cut down the trees in the Hollow to obtain the basic items.
3. Repair the Bridge

The quest will be given to you, where you need to get the Signal Amplifier. First, you must fix the bridge located southeast of the cabin. Pass the Southeast bridge, get the Signal Amplifier, and use it to fix the Old Radio in the cabin.
Make your way out of the cabin and keep moving on the southeast side to find the broken bridge. Interact with it to learn the required materials to repair it. You need 6xWood and 4xStick to repair the southeast bridge. Once you repair the bridge, make your way to the Rescue Station to unveil more things there.
4. Sleep On the Bed To Manage Energy Level

Your character has an Energy level that you can see at the top left side of the screen. This energy level mitigates when you progress and work in the game. The more you work, the quicker this bar depletes. However, consuming the food items will boost the energy level. You can also replenish it by sleeping on the bed in your cabin. Approach the bed and interact with it.
You need to set the rest duration and press the LMB on the Sleep button. Sleeping gives you an energy boost per hour. However, the longer you sleep, the more energy you gain. But this will highly influence your Food level. The more you sleep, the more hungry you become.

I recommend consuming the food to increase your Hunger level every time you awake from sleep. If you don’t have a torch yet in the game and you need to move outside and it’s already nighttime, then it’s best to sleep and set the time to 4 or 5 hours to pass the time quickly.
Days are for gathering resources, crafting, and preparing. Night, on the other hand, brings out more deadly entities. I recommend you stay in your shelter at night unless absolutely forced to move.
5. Manage Your Hunger Level

Maintaining your food/hunger level in Angst: A Tale Of Survival is essential for staying alive. At first, you can cook the food at the campfire. But as you progress, you can cook the food at the stove in the cabin. Unlock the campfire kit’s blueprint from the Upgrade Board and use the required materials to craft it. Interact with it to find the different tiers for it.
Click on the Campfire in Tier 1 to learn the required materials for crafting it. The materials required to craft the Campfire Kit are 3xWood, 2xStick, and 1xGrass. Hold the LMB on the Campfire Icon to unlock it. You can find the blueprint in your backpack that you can use to cook meals and to warm up in the cold. You can cook the meal over the campfire using the mushrooms.

The mushrooms are obtained from outside the cabin on the ground. Use the mushrooms to cook and consume them to replenish your hunger level. Constantly monitor your character’s physiological needs. Food and warmth are crucial, as ignoring them leads to illness and health loss.
6. Repair the Broken Stove

Cooking the food at the Stove is also beneficial, as you cook more recipes like Raw Wolf Meat here. New recipes have special effects in the game, making it crucial to repair the Broken Stove in the cabin. Repairing the Broken Stove requires 4xWood, 4xPlanks, 2xCharcoal, and 2xRope. Deliver all the required materials in the Broken Stove menu to repair it. Plank is crafted using 2xWood. Open your menu and go into the rope tab.

Click on the plank in the crafting menu and use the material to craft it. However, you can only craft it at the crafting table in the cabin. Interact with the crafting table on the right side of the Broken Stove. The crafting table itself is broken, so you need to repair it using the 6xwood, 3xrope, 3xstick, and 1xmetal parts. The metal part is obtained from the yellow car near the Rescue Station.
Rope is crafted from the crafting menu using the Grass. Once you have all the required materials, interact with the table to repair it. Now, use the required materials to craft the Planks at the crafting table. 2xwood is used to craft 1xWooden Plank. Interact with the Broken Stove and deliver the Plank to complete the required materials and hold the Spacebar to repair it.
Interact again with the Stove and cook the mushroom. The recipes that you can cook at the stove are Cooked Fish, Cooked Rabbit Meat, Cooked Mushroom, Cooked Wolf Meat, Raspberry Tea, Berry Soup, and Meatballs.
7. Combat Mechanics

Use the knife or axe to eliminate enemies like wolves. The enemies in this game are far more deadly and can attack you suddenly. Make sure you’re equipping the knife to eliminate the enemies. Each weapon has unique power and attack speed, as well as durability tied to how well it withstands enemy attacks when used for blocking. Press the LMB to attack with the weapon and the RMB to block the attacks. The weapons also have the durability that mitigates when you use them.

Once the durability depletes to zero, you need to craft a new one or upgrade the old one using the required materials. Early in the game, engaging enemies like wolves on the west side of the map leads to their patrols intensifying. This brings more powerful foes, making it difficult to stay alive.
Stealth and evasion are often more effective than fighting. Your tools degrade with use and can break at inconvenient moments, so always have a backup.
8. Prioritize Staying Warm

Temperature is a constant threat. Always carry a campfire with you to quickly warm up if the weather changes or if you get wet. You can craft the campfire at the crafting menu using the required materials. I recommend you repair stoves in abandoned cabins to stay warm and cook indoors. The stove and campfire consume fuel, so you need to provide Wood to keep them running for a longer time.
9. Scavenge

Make sure to search all abandoned structures, including cars, crates, and tents, for useful items. Search all the possible areas to carry the useful items during your run. You can also store the items in your storage in the cabin.
Repair the storage and place unnecessary items to make some space for the useful items. Carry a few bandages to manage health loss if things go wrong. Search the journals and Polaroid cameras, as these are required collectables for a side quest.
10. Listen Carefully to the Old Radio

The person on the Old radio tells you to learn much more about survival in this harsh environment. He will tell you what to do in the game, so if you listen to him carefully, you will know your next objective. The game is somehow complex, so taking hints from everywhere is crucial to progress.
Each death in the game provides an opportunity to unlock new skills and crafts in a non-linear fashion. Use this system to customize your hero’s abilities to a playstyle and strategy that works better for you.
