In every extractive shooter type of game, crafting is essential, and Arc Raiders is no exception to this rule. In fact, if you want to get ahead in the game, you will need to constantly go on the hunt for better materials to craft better gear.
Thankfully, crafting in the game is not complicated, but it can be confusing to some who have just started playing the game or the genre, so this guide will go over the essentials of what you need to know.
How To Craft Items

From the raids you will be doing, you will get a lot of loot, ranging from raw materials to items, guns, and so on. But you cannot hoard everything you get in your stash, as it can get full pretty quickly.
This is why you need to put that loot, specifically those materials, into use for upgrades or crafting.
All the crafting in the game happens in your Workshop, which you can access from the menu located at the top of your screen. Here, you will be able to use those items to craft bandages, shield rechargers, augments, and more.
At first, you will only have the workbench available, with a limited number of items that you can craft. But you will be able to expand the Workshop by crafting other stations. Each station has a specialty, meaning it will craft a specific type of item.
Every Workshop Station Available

There are a total of six benches that you can craft, and these are:
- Gear Bench: You can craft all augments and shield types at this station.
- Gunsmith: You can craft all types of weapons and gun parts, and upgrade guns.
- Refiner: You can craft certain refined materials for upgrades or crafting other items.
- Explosive Station: You can craft any type of grenade and mine here.
- Utility Station: You can craft tactical gadgets that will help you during the raid and increase your survivability.
- Medical Lab: You can craft healing consumables and shield rechargers here.
How To Find Blueprints

Each station has a set of items that you can craft, but you can find blueprints during the raid and bring them back to Speranza.
Blueprints are random loot that you can find in the game, and they do not spawn in a specific location. They do have a higher chance of spawning during night raids or behind locked doors, but it is still random.
These blueprints, after being consumed and learned, will unlock the corresponding item available to craft at the corresponding bench.
Now, if you’re struggling to find a certain material, there are two ways to get it:
The typical way is hovering over the item and checking which department it can be found in, either Mechanical, Residential, or something else.
The second way is by recycling some other material that could potentially yield the material you need. Thankfully, after you select the item you need to recycle, you will get a preview of all the items you will receive, so you can make sure.
