Arc Raiders – How To Unlock Every Bench On Your Workshop

You will do a lot of looting during your time playing Arc Raiders, and you will constantly be sending stuff to your stash. However, just hoarding things and not using them is kind of a waste, since eventually your stash will be full anyway.

This is where the different workbenches come into play. You will be able to use the materials you find to craft new gear, new weapons, and new items that will help you survive on the Topside.

How To Unlock New Benches

Your workshop can have up to six benches in addition to your default workbench. All these benches can be used to craft many of the useful items you need for raids.

Each one of them you will need to unlock separately. In order to do this, head to the Workshop menu at the top of the main menu. Here, you should find a list and a plus sign.

By clicking on the plus sign, you will be able to see what each new bench requires in order to craft it.

Note

The same process to unlock new benches applies to all of them; the only difference is the materials needed to craft and upgrade each one.

How To Unlock The Gear Bench

The Gear bench lets you craft all types of augment and shields in the game, and the more you upgrade it, the better quality of these items you can craft.

This bench can be upgraded up to level 3, but you will need the proper materials for it.

Tip

Both the Hornet Driver and the Bastion Cell are dropped from the corresponding Arc.
Hornets are very common to find, and Bastions can spawn around the Swamp area and the Water Treatment building on the Dam Battlegrounds.

How To Unlock The Gunsmith Bench

The Gunsmith is where you will be able to craft all your guns in the game. Not only that, but if you learn a new blueprint, it will also be available for you there.

The table showcases all required materials for each level.

Tip

The Wasp Driver is obtained from the Wasp flying enemies, while the Sentinel Firing Core is obtained from the sentinel turrets that spawn around the Research and Administration building in the Dam Battlegrounds.

How To Unlock The Refiner Bench

The Refiner bench lets you craft certain crafting materials in order to ease the process of crafting new items. This becomes very useful when you need to craft new weapons or new augments, as you won’t have to go to the Topside and look for them.

As usual, the table below showcases all the requirements for unlocking the bench or fully leveling it up.

Tip

To fully upgrade it, you will need to destroy a Bombardier in order to get its cell. The best place to find one is in the Buried City, in the middle of Marano Park.

How To Unlock The Utility Bench

The Utility station is where you can craft all types of gadgets and the tactical gear that can increase your survivability and shape your playstyle.

If you’re wondering what materials you need for it in order to save them, then the following table will help you.

Tip

Leaper Pulse Units are dropped from Leapers, and these are commonly found on the Dam Battlegrounds around the Swampside Elevator or the North Complex Elevator.

How To Unlock The Explosive Bench

Just like the name suggests, the explosive bench allows you to craft all types of grenades and mines, which you can use to deal tons of damage to Arc enemies or trap other raiders if needed.

This one requires a bit more crafting materials, but the table below has information on what is needed.

Tip

Another Arc boss enemy that you need to defeat is a Rocketeer, and it can be a pain to defeat one of these as they are flying.
The best is to engage while you have cover, and these can be found at the Water Treatment and the Testing Annex in the Dam.

How To Unlock The Medical Lab Bench

The final bench that you can unlock is the Medical Lab. This one is extremely useful, as it lets you craft all types of healing consumables to restore both your health and shield.

Tip

The most annoying part that you might struggle finding here is the Surveyor Vault as it can be obtained by the Surveyor ball.
However, the easiest way to get these is just look Barren Husks, Arc Couriers or Arc Probe and you should find a few.
