There is a lot of content that you can engage with during your time playing Arc Raiders, and this will make each raid resourceful and fun. You can go on and do quests, go on night raids for increased loot, do Trials, and so on.
After you reach level 20, you will be able to unlock the Projects from the Raiders menu. This feature does raise many questions, and we’re here to clear everything up.

How Do Projects Work?

Projects, also known as Expedition, is the prestige system in Arc Raiders, which basically resets your progress but allows you to gain some valuable buffs and items instead.
However, before you can do that, there are preparations that you must undertake in order to join the Expedition. There are six stages of preparation that you need to complete, and each stage will require you to grind materials.
The table below showcases each stage of the Expedition and what it requires from you.
| Projects | Stage Name | Requirements |
| Expedition 1 | Foundation | Metal Parts: 150 Rubber Parts: 200 Arc Alloy: 80 Steel Spring: 15 |
| Expedition 2 | Core Systems | Durable Cloth: 350 Wire: 30 Electrical Components: 30 Cooling Fan: 5 |
| Expedition 3 | Framework | Light Bulb: 5 Battery: 30 Sensor: 20 Exodus Modules: 1 |
| Expedition 4 | Outfitting | Humidifier: 5 Advanced Electrical Components: 5 Magnetic Accelerator: 3 Leaper Pulse Unit: 4 |
| Expedition 5 | Load Stage | Combat Items: 250,000 items worth Survival Items: 100,000 items worth Provisions: 180,000 items worth Materials: 300,000 items worth |
When Does An Expedition Happen?

Expedition has a set schedule, and you will have 60 days between each Expedition to prepare your caravan and complete all the project preparations.
Thankfully, you will get a one-week window to depart in order to prestige your account and get the new stuff.
However, if you miss the departure, you will not get any of the buffs and items that you should have received, and all the resources you put in will be lost.
What You Lose, Keep, And Gain?

Just like any other prestige system in other games, you will lose most of your progress, and it will get reset in the game, while you will retain some of it and gain other stuff in return.
We prepared a table with a clear indication to showcase all of that:
| What You Will Lose / Reset | What You Will Keep | What You Will Gain |
| Stash upgrade progress | Unlocked maps | Personal event progress |
| Inventory items | Unlocked Workshop Stations | Bonus XP gain |
| Blueprints | Codex Entries | Bonus skill points |
| Coins | Raider Tokens | Bonus stash slots |
| Player level | Cred | Bonus Scrappy materials |
| Skill points | Raider Deck Progress | Bonus weapon repairs |
| Raider Den | Active Leaderboards | |
| Workshop | Trials | |
| Quests | Cosmetics |
Is The Expedition Worth it?

This is a very subjective question, so each Raider might think differently about it.
- If you have the time to grind everything from the start again and again, and you really, really love the game, then you should definitely go for it. This means that you will repeat the cycle every two months, basically.
- However, if you do not have time to grind everything again and would prefer to stay with all the progress you have made so far, then you should not go for it.
The idea here is to give the Raiders some type of endgame progression, but the major issue we see is that this current system is flawed and does not seem appealing to a lot of players.
So, currently, it does not seem to be worth it from our personal perspective, as the hassle and the gains are minimal, but it is too early to judge.
