Arcane Merchant is a cozy shopkeeper simulator set in a medieval setting. You have to buy products from the smugglers or the wholesale shop, and then, you have to sell these products in your shop. While the premise may look easy at first sight, a lot is going on here that you have to keep an eye out for, and these beginner tips will help you get up to speed right off the bat.

Don’t Forget To Restock Every Morning
Restocking is important, especially early on, because your storage structures are limited and the items quickly sell out. The best way to start a day in the game is to stock everything before you open the shop.
The time is frozen every day at 8:00 AM until you open your shop, so that gives you plenty of time to get ready and clean up if there’s any dirt in the shop.
Furthermore, since the stock runs out so quickly during the day, you can also order the stock again, even while working in your shop and dealing with customers. You’ll still have to make some time to pick up the chests and stock the shelves with the item that you just ordered, but it will keep the customers coming and the revenue flowing.

Don’t Lose All Your Money In Betting
The game gives you certain options for betting. It can easily get you rich quickly, or empty your cash in no time if you’re not careful. Keep in mind that if you run out of money and don’t have anything to sell, you might have to take a loan from the Goldgrin shop.
If you really need some quick money, you can try your hand at the Shell Game. It is hard, but you can get the correct answer with some skill. However, the horse racing mini-game is completely based on luck, so it can be risky.
You can enjoy the betting mini-games if your shops are full of products that you’ve yet to sell, such as in the morning after you’ve finished stocking the shelves. In that case, even if you were to lose all the money, you can still make most of it back easily.

Smugglers Can Be Helpful
Once in a while, you’ll see the smuggler’s ship at the port. These smugglers provide cheaper rates than the wholesale shop. Whenever such a ship arrives, you should always buy everything it has to offer.
You can make a significant profit by selling these products. Even if you don’t have enough storage space on shelves to display these products, you can still put these chests inside your shop, and they’ll stay there for a while.
You can then use these chests to restock after the initial batch on your shelves has sold out.

Don’t Hestitate To Fire Heroes
You can hire heroes early on for cheap, but their combat power is low. In the beginning, you can only hire one hero at max. You can further increase the hero’s combat power by equipping them with better armor and weapons, the same ones that you sell at the shop.
However, as the days progress, more powerful heroes will start to show up. These heroes have a high base combat power, but they also demand a much higher payment every day.
If you’re making enough money, you should always hire a hero with better combat power, and then you can give them good equipment to further increase their combat prowess.

Custom Prices Can Get You A Lot Of Money
After you put any new items in your shop on display, the first thing you’ll have to do after that is to set up a price for them. If there’s no price tag, no customers will buy any of it.
The game allows you to sell your products at the market price, or a little above or lower than that. For products such as armor pieces, you can set them to be around 20% to 30% expensive, and you might still be able to sell them comfortably.
This can allow you to get a lot of money since armor pieces usually have a high base price, and you’re only selling a few pieces of them in the beginning. However, this approach doesn’t work with cheaper items. If you set the price too high for potions or daggers, you might not be able to sell all of them by the day’s end.
