Dark Light: Survivor – All Classes Ranked

Ranking all the classes in Dark Light: Survivor.

Welcome to the Into Indie Games guide for the best class in Dark Light: Survivor. Choosing the most powerful class builds a strong foundation for the longest survival in your runs in this game. You can even play in two different perspectives, including the third-person mode and the top-down view, which can be switched simultaneously. For more information, you can visit the game’s official Steam page here.

3. Dimensage

Elemental mastery plays a huge role in this game, and there is no better class than the Dimensage for this. It is basically a mage playstyle that requires you to use various spells from range while incorporating different elements into your sceptor. The sage can shoot multiple orbs from her sceptor, which have a pretty long range.

You can incorporate different elemental procs into these orbs that allow you to target multiple enemies at once. This makes Dimensage both an elemental specialist and a good ranged character. You can stay at a safe distance from hordes of enemies while achieving amazing crowd control with your sceptor.

There are some drawbacks to this class as well. You’re not as strong against bosses, especially with your main sceptor weapon, which you end up switching to get across the boss battles. The sceptor’s attacks can feel a little slow, too, which will require moving around more than other classes. You cannot basically melt enemies or bosses in a single burst.

2. Order of The Sunken Light

This is basically the knight class and is available at the start of the game. The knight is not just strong throughout your early game, but it can survive in the later areas of the game, too. You can use a combination of guns and swords in this class.

The Order of the Sunken Light can be built up with a good set of close and long-range weapons, which give you an advantage in each encounter. The crowd control is not as great as the Dimensage, but the raw damage output and the sheer defense of this class put it above the mage.

You’ll need to depend on a more close-range playstyle, which puts you at a risk of getting hit easily, especially against the elite enemies and the bosses. However, you can not only use the dash to dodge attacks, but you can also rely on the knight’s shield to block incoming harm as well. In conclusion, Order of the Sunken Light is more enduring than the glass cannon playstyle of the Dimensage.

1. Void Operative

Undoubtedly, the best class in Dark Light: Survivor currently is the Void Operative with a completely ranged playstyle. This class is also so versatile in the movement category, with its skills prioritizing both offense and defense. You can basically melt enemies and bosses by dual-wielding weapons with the Void Operative.

Buffing your weapons up with elements just makes you too powerful, and you will start melting everything. The Void Operative is just so versatile and balanced overall. As soon as you unlock this class, it should definitely become your main in the game. To summarize, the Void Operative makes up for the shortcomings of the mage and the knight class and ends up delivering more than both of them.
