Don’t Stop Girlypop is a fast-paced boomer shooter with a uniquely weird twist: combining girly Y2K music, a “Slay-ish” soundtrack, and a high-octane combat loop, drawing deep inspiration from genre pioneers like Ultrakill. Pick up the guns, don’t stop moving, and keep blasting through the horde of enemies with an adrenaline-rushing breakcore soundtrack. Is this your first time hearing about the game? Check out their official Steam page!
While the game is straightforward with its mechanics and a jumbled-out story hidden in echoes throughout the levels, here are a few tips and tricks to help you reach the efficiency levels Don’t Stop Girlypop requires.

Gather Love Manually

Don’t Stop Girly Pop comes with a level-rating system that shows your results at the end of every level. One of the statistics is “Love,” which enemies drop when killed, and the game uses to determine your level grade.
What the game doesn’t tell you is that you have to go and manually collect Love from the dead bodies. With it, you can increase your maximum score, and if you’re a completionist, I can’t emphasize this tip enough for you.
Although a room may be cluttered with tons of enemies, you can collect the dropped Love once you pave your way through them. Rush to the bodies as the Love multiplier gradually decreases, and you won’t be able to hit the required mark.
Don’t Spread The Bubbles

Every weapon in the game has an ability bound to the right-click. The SMG’s alt-fire shoots explosive, sticky bubbles from the muzzle, and the main bullets can detonate them.
Don’t go gun-blazing with the bubbles; stack them on powerful enemies and then pop. The bubbles are unable to create a chain effect if there’s a gap between them.
Sniper Works Better Without a Scope

I know it sounds absurd, but trust me. After playing Don’t Stop Girlypop for 20 hours straight and completing all levels on S Rank, I can tell that Sniper works better without aiming down its sight.
The game is inherently fast-paced and requires utmost attention at all times. And using the Sniper’s scope sacrifices a large area of your screen, which can be brutally punishing on greater difficulties.
Use the crosshair to shoot down your enemies from far away since it’s as accurate as the scope.
Railgun Is The Emergency Button

Railgun is one of the late-stage weapons you can find in the game. While you have infinite ammo for every gun except the rocket launcher, you should only use the Railgun when in danger.
Think of it like the BFG from Doom; when in trouble, this weapon is your gateway to victory. Still, don’t rely on it too much as it takes a while to charge up, and combine the rest of the arsenal to pave the way through without dying.

If occupied with a horde of enemies, use the Railgun’s alt-fire to blow the entire horde away; multiple projectiles that cover a huge area.
Keep Eyes on the Time Watch

In the mission E4M3, the game introduces a level-limited time-slowing mechanic, which is used to slow down time to avoid heavy machinery and dying in a single hit.
Before you activate the time watch in this level, make sure you have enough duration left before it runs out; you can find it at the bottom left of your crosshair.
Additionally, stay aware of your surroundings, as the pistons in the mechanical rooms might crush you while fighting the waves.
Achieving S-Rank

The game grades your effort and time efficiency after every level, ranking you from F as the lowest to S as the highest. It depends on the following:
- Total Time
- Love
- Score
The game instantaneously tells you to keep moving in the beginning to enable the score multiplier. Use Slam, Jump, and Dash sequentially to get the exact momentum boost you need to get the highest rank.

Doing this will help you with both score and time completion.
As mentioned above, Love should be manually gathered by getting near the dead body of an enemy. The more love you pick up, the more love you will retrieve.
