In End of Abyss, you play as Cel, a combat technician exploring a derelict Facility with her crew. As you progress through the monster-infested zones, you’ll pick up unique weapons that will make your journey easier. The Security Rifle is one such weapon that you can unlock relatively early in the game if you know where to look.
In this guide, we’ll show you the exact location where you can grab the Security Rifle in End of Abyss and what you need to do to get it.

What is the Security Rifle?
The Security Rifle is the third primary weapon that you can unlock in End of Abyss. It’s a single-shot long-range rifle that fires Armor-Piercing rounds, making it highly effective against robotic enemies such as the ones found in Factory West.
With this weapon, you can hold the Fire button to focus your shot, dealing additional damage to enemies. It’s similar to the Charged Shot of the Pulse Gun, but the charging time is much faster. The downside to this weapon is that it can only hold up to four rounds of ammunition.
The reload speed is also slow, which can make it difficult to use against agile enemies that can quickly close distance. However, its remarkable accuracy when using the Focus Shot makes it one of the best weapons in the game at long range.
The Security Rifle is located in the room behind the locked door on the right as you arrive using the Shuttle in Factory East. The door is locked from the other side, so you can’t grab it right away.
Obtaining the Explosive Charge
The Explosive Charge is a consumable item that lets you break Weak Structures found throughout the game. You’ll find it as you progress along the main story—specifically after getting past the second Security Turret encounter in Factory West. It is a mandatory item, so you don’t have to worry about missing it.
The location of the Explosive Charge is shown in the image above. You’ll have to use the bridge to the right of the Safe Room after extending it to reach the location.
Where to Find the Security Rifle in End of Abyss
Once you’ve unlocked the Explosive Charge, head to the first Safe Room in Factory East. Outside this room, go to the door at the top left, near the shortcut ladder on the lower floor.
You’ll have to use the Facility Keycard to open the door. You should already have it in your inventory since you’ve powered up the Reactor.
Inside the room, you’ll find a chest containing a Complex Alloy along with some Fragments inside the locker. But the most important thing here is the Weak Structure on the wall to the left.
Break the wall using an Explosive Charge and head inside.
The Security Rifle will be waiting for you to pick up as soon as you head inside. Open the nearby door to unlock a shortcut back to the Shuttle in Factory East.
