How to Solve The Infernal Alignment Puzzle

From the starting point, go forward and turn right. You’ll spot a bulletin board on the wall and a chest at the bottom. Pick up the chest.

Look at the bulletin board. You’ll need to pick up two notes from the board. We’ve marked them on the image above.

Then look down. You’ll see a Hammer on the bench. Pick it up.

Turn left toward the wall. You’ll see a Shovel propped up on the wall. Pick it up.

Inspect the Paper you picked up from the board. This is your clue to solving the first puzzle in the zone, The Infernal Alignment.

Look toward the tree near the front of the room. You’ll spot three empty lanterns hanging from its branches.

If you position yourself properly, the symbols from the back of the tree will light up the lanterns with an ethereal blue flame. There are two spots in the area where you can light up all three lanterns at the same time. We’ve marked both of these spots in the image above.

Take the Shovel in your hand and look down while standing in each of these spots. You’ll get the prompt to Dig. Press the prompted button to dig up the ground.

One of these spots will give you a Chest, the other will give you a Mechanical Key. Collect both of these items to solve the Infernal Alignment puzzle.
How to Solve The Key Beneath Puzzle

Select the Mechanical Key that you just dug up in your inventory and inspect it.

Click on the handle and pull it down to unlock the mechanism.

Inspect the Chest that you dug up in your inventory. Rotate it so that you can view the top part of the Chest.

Drag the Mechanical Key to the top slot of the chest.

Rotate the central mechanism at the top of the Chest clockwise to reveal a hidden drawer inside it. Pick up the item to collect your first Moon Key and complete the Key Beneath puzzle. You need three more Moon Keys to clear this room.
How to Solve The Turning Vault Puzzle

Head towards the right-side wall of the Courtyard. You’ll see some Symbols on the pillars and Roman Numerals on different bricks in the wall.

The mechanism on the pillar allows you to move the slider vertically across the different symbols. Doing so causes some bricks to depress or emerge from the wall.

Inspect the Chest you picked up from below the bulletin board. There are three dials, each with a unique symbol imprinted on the knob. You’ll also notice Roman Numerals where you can point the dials.

These symbols match the symbols on the pillars of the wall. Drag the dial on the pillar across the symbols, matching the symbol on the dial one at a time, and note down the number shown on the bricks: II, IV, VI.

Inspect the Chest, and enter the rotate the dials with the corresponding number to unlock it.

Lift the lid and pick up the two Mechanical Keys inside.
How to Solve The Runes of Rotation Puzzle

With the two Mechanical Keys from the chest, head back towards the starting point of the room. You’ll spot two statues on either side, an Angel, and a Gargoyle.

Inspect the bottom of the Angel Statue first. Place the Mechanical Key with two elongated prongs at the center of the mechanism.

Next, grab the two handles to rotate the device so that the golden markings at the base of each pillar are aligned perfectly.

This will open a hidden compartment at the base of the statue. Pick up the Key.

Now, inspect the base of the Gargoyle Statue on the other side. You’ll find a similar mechanism here. Use the half-circle Mechanical Key here.

The idea is the same as before; rotate the mechanism to align the pillars.

You’ll find an Angel Statuette and a Gargoyle Statuette in the hidden compartment. This completes the Runes of Rotation puzzle.
How to Solve The Sin and Salvation Puzzle

From the entrance, head forward and turn left, past the Wagon. There’s a small section with a door. Head towards the door.

Use the Key you found at the base of the Angel Statue to unlock the door. Head inside.

Read the writing on the plaque. This refers to the Sister and Her Dark Brother refer to the Angel Statuette and the Gargoyle Statuette, respectively.

As for the gates of Hell and Heaven, check the two doors at the two ends of the Courtyard.

Place the two Statuettes from your inventory into the two slots shown in the image above. This unlocks a hidden compartment on the board containing the second Moon Key.
How to Solve The Gargoyle’s Gambit Puzzle

Exit the chamber and look at the wall. There’s a drawing on the wall with three plaques. Each plaque has a unique symbol above it.
Two of the statements in the plaque are lies, while the third one is the truth. Based on some simple logic and deduction, you can figure out the following:
- Everyone is telling the truth – Lies
- There are two or more liars – Truth
- I am telling the truth – Lies

Inspect the torn Note you found on the bulletin board near the start of the Room. Veritas means Truth, and Mendacium means Lies.

Look to the left to spot a small door between the shelves, secured by a small lock. Inspect it.

You can drag the middle panel of the lock to either Mendacium or Veritas. The top part has six symbols, matching the ones you saw on the three plaques on the wall.

You already know which statements are lies and which one is the truth. So pick the answer matching the symbol to unlock the door. The correct sequence is: Mendacium | Mendacium | Veritas | Mendacium | Mendacium | Veritas.
Open the door to find the third Moon Key.
How to Solve The Burning Message Puzzle

Look down from the shelf after picking up the Moon Key to spot another Chest. Pick up the Paper on top of it.

Inspect the lock on the Chest. Click on the cover to move it aside. This is a combination puzzle where you need to set the correct sequence of four letters to open the lock.

Inspect the Paper you just picked up. The Two Fires refer to the moving lights on the window of the big tower on the left. Pin the Paper to your screen.

Look for the lights appearing on the window and cross-reference them with the Paper to figure out the letters you need for the combination lock.

The word you’re looking for is HELP. Use it on the combination lock to open the Chest.

Pick up the Stake. You don’t need anything else from here.
How to Solve The Wagon Escape Puzzle

Head towards the Wagon and inspect the panel on its door.

Note that you can move the blocks across the boards following the preset lines.

Head to the other side of the wagon and drag your mouse across the glass to clean it.

Once it’s clean, peek through the window. You can spot the solution to where each piece will go on the other side of the curtain.
Head back to the panel and arrange the pieces as required. Use the image above as a reference.
How to Solve The Workman’s Secret Puzzle

Solving the puzzle opens the door to the wagon. Pick up the Key on the counter and the Bottle on the seat.

Head to the back of the wagon. You’ll see a chest here. Use the Key you just picked up to unlock it.

Place the Bottle, the Stake, and the Hammer into their respective slots inside the Chest.

This opens a secret compartment at the bottom of the Chest containing the Mirror. Pick it up.
How to Solve The Guiding Reflection Puzzle

Head towards the well near the tree on the right side of the area.

Pick up the Leather Bag. Note that there are four dials on the well.

You can click on these dials and move them around to reveal unique symbols underneath.

Inspect the Mirror in your inventory. Click the center of the mirror.

This changes the camera angle, giving you a bird’s eye view of the area.

From each of the dials, you need to move outward till you spot a blue symbol.

Then return to the dial and move the disc around so that the symbol can be seen on the dial.

Once you set up the correct symbols in all the dials the puzzle is completed and a Blue Light appears in the middle of the well.
How to Solve The Echoes of Truth Puzzle

Before talking to the Blue Light nspect the Leather Bag in your inventory and click on the flap to open it. Pick up the Book.

Inspect the Book and pin it to your screen.

Talk to the Blue Light. It’ll ask you a series of questions in Latin. You need to choose the right answers to complete this puzzle.
The order of the questions are randomized. Here are the answer to each questions:
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Quid est post vitam? | Mors |
| Quid est inimicus ignis? | Aqua |
| Ubi sunt falco? | Caelum |
| Quid est maximum | Sol |

Click on the floating Moon Key to pick it up.
How to Solve The Crimson Halves Puzzle

After collecting all four Moon Keys, head towards the door to the castle. You’ll spot four slots for the four Moon Keys on the door.

Place each Moon Key one at a time in each of the four slots. If it’s in the correct position you’ll see it slot into place.

If it’s in the wrong spot, the key will point toward the correct spot. Place all four keys to unlock the door. Head inside to complete the Courtyard in Escape Simulator 2.
