Everwind – Best Tier 5 & 6 Skills To Unlock

Everwind featured

Everwind is a sandbox survival RPG where you build your base on a ship and explore different islands. As you proceed, you will level up and earn skill points. You need to utilize those skill points carefully and only unlock the skills that are going to be useful for you.

We’ve already got guides on the best Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, and Tier 4 skills to unlock. So, in this guide, we’ll get into the best Tier 5 and Tier 6 skills you need to unlock in Everwind.

For more information about the game, head over to its Steam page.

Best Tier 5 Skills To Unlock In Everwind

As tiers only exist in the Warrior and Arcanist classes for now, below you will find the best Tier 5 skills to unlock in both of the Everwind classes:

Backstab + Shadowcloak

Backstab is one of the best tier 5 skills in Everwind

If you are someone who likes to play stealthily, then Backstab and Shadowcloak in Tier 5 are made for you. These skills will give you a pretty solid stealth experience.

The Backstab skill increases the damage you do to enemies that have not noticed you.

Now, the stealth skill only silences your footsteps, as enemies will not hear you when crouching. However, with the help of the Shadowcloak skill, enemies will not be able to see you when you are crouching. This means you will become invisible, and that will help you get close to the enemy.

This way, you can deal more damage to the enemy by using the Backstab skill, or if you want to avoid the fight altogether, you can simply crouch away.

Master Bow + Master Weapon

Both of these skills allow you to use master weapons. Master Bow, as the name suggests, allows you to use master class bows, and of course, the Master Weapon skill allows you to wield all close-range melee master class weapons.

You can, by all means, unlock both of them, as using both bows and close-range weapons can be quite beneficial. However, if you are not a fan of either one of them, you do not have to unlock the skill for that particular weapon type.

Pure Power

Pure Power is one of the best Tier 5 skills to unlock for magic or hybrid builds in Everwind.

This is a skill you must unlock and eventually upgrade to level three if you are using more magic attacks, because Pure Power increases your magic damage.

The first level increases your magic damage by 10 percent, and if you max it out, your magic damage will be increased by 30 percent.

You do not have to put three skill points into this skill right away, but I do highly recommend unlocking it at least. This skill applies to all types of magic attacks, so it is worth unlocking.

Elemental Resistance

As you progress further in the game, enemies are going to get stronger. So, to prevent taking more damage from them, you need to unlock the Elemental Resistance skill. This skill allows you to take less fire, ice, and lightning damage.

You can upgrade it to level three, but it’s fine if you do not invest all three points right away. Unlock it, and then as you progress, make sure to max this skill out.

Fast Casting

fast casting is one of the best tier 5 skills in Everwind

If you are using a spellbook, then you need to be fast enough. Speed matters a lot when you are casting magic attacks, and you can increase that by unlocking the Fast Casting skill. With this skill, you will be able to cast 45 percent faster than you could before.

However, that will only happen when you upgrade it to level three. At level one, it will only increase the speed by 15 percent, which is not bad either.

Best Tier 6 Skills To Unlock In Everwind

Tier 6 is going to be the last skill tier in the game. In early access, there are no tiers for the Engineer class except the first one, so more will be added in the full release. The following are the best Tier 6 skills you need to unlock in Everwind:

Ambush

ambush is one of the best tier 6 skills in Everwind

If you unlocked the Backstab skill along with Shadowcloak, then you must unlock Ambush too. This skill allows you to stun an enemy when you backstab them. However, that enemy should have full health in order for you to stun them.

It will not work if you attack an enemy and then use Shadowcloak to get behind them and perform a backstab. You need to stay stealthy and start the attack with a backstab in order to use Ambush. This way, you will get a huge opening at the beginning to deal quite a lot of damage to the enemy.

Throatslice

As the name suggests, this is an instant kill ability, but having it activate more often would be too broken. So instead, the Throatslice ability will let you instantly kill an enemy depending on the damage you have dealt.

Do not expect this to happen too often, as it is considered a rare phenomenon. That may reduce the overall value of this skill, but still, one-shotting enemies is pretty cool and can only happen with this skill. However, do note that you won’t be able to one-shot bosses or special enemies.

Master Armor

master armor is one of the best tier 6 skills in Everwind

This skill is a no-brainer if you want to use master class armors, so make sure to unlock it. If you do not have any master class armors yet, then you can simply wait until you find one and then unlock this skill.

It is important to unlock this skill, as master class armors are pretty solid and reliable in this game.

Multi Arrow

Multi-arrow is among the best Tier 6 skills for bow users in Everwind.

Another great Tier 6 skill in this game is Multi Arrow. It is pretty useful for those who are using a bow build or a hybrid one. The Multi Arrow skill allows you to shoot multiple arrows at once. So, the more you upgrade this skill, the more arrows you will shoot, meaning more damage.

You can upgrade it to level 4, which will mean you shoot four more arrows.

Natural Cover

If you cast spells from the spellbook, you will know that it takes some time. Even with the Fast Casting skill maxed out, you may still think the casting speed is not fast enough. If that is the case, then you need to unlock the Natural Cover skill.

That is because this skill makes your character impossible to harm when casting spells from a book. This means that no enemy will be able to damage you when you are charging up an attack, which, if you ask me, is a pretty solid skill.

Master Rods + Master Books

If you are a user of rods and have a master rod in your inventory, then you need to unlock the Master Rods skill. This will allow you to use any type of master rods that are in the game or will be added later on.

Similarly, if you want to use master class books, you need to unlock the Master Books skill.

You do not have to unlock both of them; just unlock the one you prefer to save a skill point.

Magic Mirror

Magic Mirror is one of the best tier 6 skills in Everwind.

The last skill that I think is one of the best in Tier 6 of this game is none other than Magic Mirror. This skill allows you to deflect an enemy’s projectile back at them. So, if an opponent fires a projectile towards you, you will actually deflect it, and it will hit the caster.

Do note that you can only deflect the projectiles with your staff. So, if you are using a sword or any other weapon other than the staff, it won’t work.

That is it for this Into Indie Games guide on which Tier 5 and Tier 6 skills you should unlock in Everwind.
