Halcyon Days At Taoyuan – Lushu Boss Battle Guide

Halcyon Days At Taoyuan Lushu

Halcyon Days at Taoyuan features several caves with different mythical beasts at the end of each one. These mythical beasts are much stronger than the regular beasts that you encounter in the cave. You can find Lushu in the Wood Cave, and battling against it can take a few tries if you’re not properly equipped for it. Preparations To Defeat Lushu

Lushu is fairly weaker compared to the other mythical beasts that you would encounter in the cave. However, if you’re heading in without an upgraded weapon, you might have a challenging time while fighting against the boss.

You’ll first need to defeat Dankang, and that will unlock the Wood Cave. The Wood Cave has tin ore deposits, and you’ll need a copper axe to mine them.

You can also use these ores to upgrade your sword. But, most importantly, you’ll need tonics. You can get tonics from Li Yong’s clinic. However, keep in mind that Li Yong only trades with herbs. You can find these herbs in the forest.

Make sure you’ve got at least five intermediate tonics, and a couple of fruits to heal you in case you get damaged a lot.

You’ll have to defeat Lushu to obtain the Ebony Root, which is required to repair the third shrine. Movement speed bonuses are also extremely useful against Lushu, so you can get a pet horse with you if you’ve tamed one.

How To Defeat Lushu

Lushu has one primary attack, which is easily avoidable. However, unlike any other mythical beast, Lushu is able to heal itself, and you’ll have to attack it to stop it from healing.

Furthermore, Lushu also deals contact damage like every other mythical beast, and you have to be careful with your approach.

Lushu’s primary attack is stomping the ground with its front legs. This attack unleashes a small shockwave, which can clip you if you’re too near. You have to attack it from its sides, similar to the strategy with Dankang.

If you’re using the practice sword, you’ll have to do a lot of attacks to bring down its HP. Furthermore, after moving around a little and attacking a few times, Lushu will stop, and a green light will start glowing around it.

This is where it starts to heal itself, and you can only stop it by attacking the boss. Don’t let it heal itself, but you also have to make sure you don’t get too close to it to get clipped by the stomp attack.

If you keep attacking and running away, you’ll be able to defeat the boss with ease, but it may take some time if you don’t have upgraded weapons.

Rewards For Defeating Lushu

Lushu drops Lushu’s Underfur, which can be used to craft armor at Lui Chulan’s place. The boss will also drop Ebony Root on defeat, which can be used to repair the shrine.

Furthermore, you’ll get the Abundance Fur accessory, which gives you a 25% chance for extra Livestock Produce, alongside an indigo disc coin.
