Halloween The Game Best Heroes

Welcome to the Into Indie Games guide on the best heroes in Halloween: The Game.

Halloween: The Game features two playable modes. One requires an internet connection, and the other one is the story mode, where you can only play as Michael Myers. However, in the other mode, you can also play as the heroes. Now, there are multiple heroes in the game, so choosing one can be a bit challenging.

So, in this guide, we will tell you which heroes are going to be the best for you in Halloween The Game. If you want some help with the story mode, check out the walkthrough hub for guides covering all the chapters.

Also, for more information about the game, please check out its Steam page.

Disclaimer: This guide is based on the characters we currently have unlocked in the game. As we unlock more characters, we will update the guide accordingly.

The Best Heroes In Halloween: The Game

Now, do note that there are stats for each character, and each of them is a master in something. So, we will purely rank them based on our experience and what they offer in the game.

The following are the best heroes we think are based on our playthrough of Halloween: The Game:

Marcus Navarro

Marcus is one of the best heroes in Halloween: The Game

Arguably, one of the best heroes in the game is Marcus. He is actually a pretty solid pick and has great stats. Marcus has seven points in capability, five in athleticism, four in personality, and a whopping 10 in resourcefulness.

Now, the stats won’t be the reason why he is an S-tier civilian in the game. He is actually a pretty solid contender for being the best civilian in the game, mainly because of his Trespasser trait. Many of the doors of the houses are going to be locked, and Marcus can use the lockpick to open them.

Also, if you are not playing with your friends and there is no coordination with the others, and you have managed to survive, you are in for some luck. That is because Marcus has the Lone Wolf ability, which gives him a pretty hefty boost when he is the last one standing.

While that necessarily isn’t a good thing, if a situation like that arises, Marcus can be the one you can rely on. He also has a trait, Repair Expert, where there is a 20 percent chance a repair pack won’t be consumed.

Laurie Strode

Laurie is one of the best heroes in Halloween: The Game

Now, if you don’t know which character to choose, we recommend going with Laurie Strode, as you simply can’t go wrong with her. She’s perhaps the most balanced character in the game, as her stats are pretty solid. She has eight points in capability, six in athleticism, nine in personality, and seven in resourcefulness.

Her stats are actually excellent, and they aren’t the only good thing about her. She actually has pretty solid traits. Her Spatial Awareness highlights residents up to 25 meters away from her when she is calm.

Her second trait allows Michael to stay down for 10% longer if she helps him go down. Laurie’s last trait, Revenge, increases melee damage by 2% whenever a resident or civilian dies within a 10-meter radius of her. This effect can stack up to five times.

Tanya Harrison

Another solid character on the list is Tanya, as she is actually pretty fun to play with. Her capability is four, athleticism is six, personality is 10, and resourcefulness is five. Her stats aren’t that bad, but the personality one is going to be pretty helpful.

Now, she would work as a supporter from the shadows, so if you want to play as her, you would want to try to convince the residents to hide, escape, or call the police. You, as Tanya, can also call the police, and due to her higher points in personality, your call is going to be very convincing.

Her Hi-Fi skill is one to talk about, as it tells you about Michael when he is within 7 meters of a noise maker you turned on. Thanks to her Survival Skills trait, phones within 15 seconds of radius are outlined. If it is green, it’s ready to use; if it’s outlined in yellow, it’s on a cooldown; and if it’s red, the phone has been disabled by Michael.

Rachel Calahan

Alexis is one of the best heroes in Halloween: The Game

Now, Rachel is a very good character, but she is not that beginner-friendly. She is better suited to players who like to take risks, but she can be very rewarding. Her stats are solid except for her points in Personality, but you can always ask someone else on your team to talk to the residents or call the police.

She is basically a fighter-type character, so you will want to give her a good weapon. Rachel has 7 points in Capability, 5 in Athleticism, 2 in Personality, and 8 in Resourcefulness. However, her traits are where she really shines.

She has a trait called Full Moon. If you deal damage to and down Michael, it will cause 40% damage to his Bloodthirst. If you have played as Michael, you know how scary a Tier 3 Bloodthirst can be. So, having Rachel on your team can be a big help.

She also has a trait called Aura of Awareness, which increases her personal space by 15%, making it harder for Michael to escape it while he is in Shape Jump form. This helps prevent you from being caught off guard by Michael.

Her last trait, Sixth Sense, allows her to hear Michael breathing from 2 meters away when he is in Shape Jump form.

Alexis Prucess

Now, Alexis is one of the best heroes in Halloween: The Game, but we think Tanya is a better civilian than her. Alexis has two points in capability, eight in athleticism, 10 in personality, and five in resourcefulness. She is also a support-type character, but her capability is way too low.

Other than that, she is an excellent civilian, as her Popular skill allows the followers to take 90 percent less damage, gain 50 percent less fear, and fight more aggressively, but it will only happen when they are protecting Alexis.

Also, if you help a resident escape Alexis, movement speed will be increased by 2 percent thanks to the Panic Contagion trait. Lastly, her smooth talker trait increases the area of the perfect bar in the skill check of the dispatch call by 10 percent.

Eric Dunn

Now, we won’t say Eric is a terrible character. He is actually a pretty solid pick, but there are just slightly better choices. Regarding Eric’s stats, he has 6 points in Capability, 3 in Athleticism, 6 in Personality, and 8 in Resourcefulness.

That’s not bad at all, and his traits are solid too. His first trait, Hunter’s Sense, allows him to highlight escapes within 25 meters when he is not terrified. Thanks to this trait, he can also see faint noise pings. His second trait, Fast Fingers, allows him to reload ranged weapons and flashlights 10% faster.

Lastly, his Brimstone Fuse trait makes the firecrackers you light disorient Michael for 15% longer.

Richard Hawthorne

Richard has pretty solid stats, but his traits aren’t that good, so he can be a little challenging to play. He has 6 points in Capability, 7 in Athleticism, 9 in Personality, and 5 in Resourcefulness. That said, his traits are where things get a little weird.

In order to activate his first trait, Affluent Partner, he needs to be both high and intoxicated. However, the reward is pretty hefty. If he is high and intoxicated at the same time, Richard’s melee damage increases by 40%.

His second trait, Witness State, allows him to see faint outlines of other characters up to 10 meters away when he is high.

Lastly, his Elusory trait slows the Stalk applied to him by Michael by 1%.

With that, the guide on which heroes are the best in Halloween: The Game comes to an end.
