Una Overview

Just like Kai in Highguard, Una is a defensive Warden who focuses on pressure and utility rather than direct combat. She has a connection to nature and spirits, allowing her to control space, disrupt enemies, and support her team during a match.

Una is less impactful than other Wardens in many team compositions, making her a lower-tier character in our opinion. However, she can be strong in certain situations when used properly.

Use the right weapons and pair her with a strong Warden who can deal massive damage in combat. Use her abilities to protect the teammates, allowing them to push quickly towards the objective. Her abilities revolve around summoning minions to deal damage or grab loot. Below are all the Una abilities in Highguard that you can use.

  • Forest Wisps (Tactical Ability): Una summons spirit wisps that lob concussion grenades at enemies, dealing disruption in combat. Enemies can easily shoot and destroy these wisps.
  • Helping Hand (Passive Ability): Spirits appear for a limited time and give Una loot and utility resources like armor and gear.
  • Tree Walker (Ultimate Ability): Una calls a large forest spirit that walks into battle and throws smaller explosive spirits at enemies to create pressure. This is best used to cover choke points or objectives during a match.

Forest Wisps (Tactical Ability)

Una summons evil spirits that automatically float toward enemies and deal massive damage by lobbing concussion grenades. These grenades allow you to disrupt and disorient enemies, forcing them to reposition and change their strategy.

They don’t deal huge damage, but they do make it harder for enemies to hold positions. Make sure to throw them into narrow entryways, choke points, or around objectives to disturb enemies.

Toss these grenades just before your team pushes in to give your teammates an advantage in tackling the enemies. Put them around corners or behind obstacles to hit the enemies when they try to peek. Avoid throwing them directly out in open areas because enemies can shoot them pretty easily.

Helping Hand (Passive Ability)

This ability provides you with better loot during the Shieldbreaker or raid phase. You gain better armor and weapons when used Helping Hand in the Gear Up phase in Highguard. This ability doesn’t require activation or aiming.

The spirits from Helping Hand can give you more items while your teammates are still gearing up. Use these bonuses to secure better weapons, armor, or utility items before the action.

I don’t recommend delaying fights just because you’re hoping for specific loot, so just continue on with the match. You can maximize your disruption role when you secure better melee, armor, or tactical items by using the Helping Hand.

Tree Walker (Ultimate Ability)

This ultimate ability of Una summons a giant forest spirit onto the battlefield that throws smaller explosive spirits at nearby enemies. Tree Walker allows you to deal massive damage to enemies, especially when they’re clustered. Use this ability to apply pressure during combat, forcing enemies to reposition.

Make sure to use it just before your teammates move in to soften them or make them get out of the cover or choke points. Keep in mind that this is not a high-damage nuke, but rather, a way of disruption and pressure.

Best Weapons For Una

Vanguard, Longhorn, and Paladin are the best three weapons that work best with Una in Highguard. Vanguard is a powerful assault rifle that can deal consistent damage to enemies while disrupting them with your abilities. This weapon comes with a large magazine and manageable recoil, making it easier to stay alive in tough combat.

Longhorn is a hand cannon that has massive damage per shot with decent accuracy. Prioritize using this weapon if you have precise aim.

Paladin is another excellent weapon for Una to deal excellent damage in close-range fights. This shotgun can stop enemies who are and slow down their push if used properly.

You can also go with the Viper due to its high fire rate in close range. This weapon has high mobility and quick suppression, allowing you to dominate enemies.

Best Team Comp

mara highguard

Atticus and Mara are the best Wardens to pair with Una in Highguard. Atticus is an assault class character who can deal massive damage and apply pressure due to his ability, while Mara is a support class Warden who can provide overshields and team survivability. In this team comp, Una can disrupt enemy positions and help with early game gear.

Use Forest Wisps to break enemy holds and activate Tree Walker during team fights or objective pushes. Good communication and planning with teammates allows you to dominate enemies. This is a balanced damage comp that can quickly take down enemies and complete objectives quickly.

How To Play Una

The main goal while playing as Una in Highguard is to disrupt enemies, apply pressure, and gather resources.

Drop Forest Wisps into choke points or defensive angles before the fight starts. Use Tree Walker in tight spaces or objective areas where enemies are most likely to pass through. This allows you to overwhelm foes while your teammates take them down.

Use Helping Hand to boost your weapon or armor quality before the action starts. Coordinate with your team so your abilities line up with pushes or defenses.

Wait for the aggressive teammates to engage with the enemies and then use your wisps to distract them. Remember, enemies can shoot the wisps down, so don’t depend on them during a gunfight.

Drop your ultimate when enemies are defending narrow angles.
