Currencies in Highguard

There are three main in‑game currencies in Highguard that players use to buy cosmetics and progress through reward systems. Each of these them have their own role and purpose in the game. Below are all the currencies you can obtain and use them accordingly.

Highguard Gold

Highguard Gold is the premium currency that is purchased with real money through the in‑game store. There’s currently no way to earn it by playing normally, making it the most expensive. You can use it to purchase premium cosmetics for your weapons and characters.

 Highguard Gold can also be used to purchase War Chests, which are Highguard’s version of a battle pass system. This currency has no maximum, as you purchase it with your own money. Below is the price of each Highguard Gold that you can buy.

If you have enough money in your bank account, then head over to the Store menu. Hit the LMB on the plus icon in the top-right corner of the screen. Choose the amount and purchase the Highguard Gold.

Warden Credits

Warden Credits are the free‑to‑earn in‑game currency you obtain by playing the matches and completing the objectives. Finish the daily and weekly challenges to earn this currency. You can use the game’s rotating cosmetic store called Trading Post. You can hold up to 10,000 Warden Credits max in Highguard. Once you hit this cap, you stop earning more until you spend some.

I recommend spending it before reaching the max cap level to avoid earning Warden Credits. The challenges that you need to complete are getting several kills, playing with specific characters, or finishing matches. Just participating in games also grants you this currency, as winning or losing doesn’t matter.

Vigil Tokens

Vigil Tokens are another free‑to‑earn currency used in the War Chest system. You can earn this currency in Highguard by playing matches. It’s worth mentioning that longer matches typically give more Tokens. Use this currency to unlock reward tiers inside War Chests.

You can hold up to 3,000 Vigil Tokens before earning stops until you spend some. Playing those matches allows you to earn the Vigil Token. Completing the objectives is not required in this case. These Tokens are essential for progressing War Chest cosmetics, so use them before hitting the cap level.
