Highguard – Vesper Farming Guide

vesper farming highguard

Discover everything you need to know about Vesper in Highguard, including how to farm it while playing the match.

Vesper is the main in‑match currency in Highguard, used to buy weapons, armor, tools, equipment upgrades, and other raid items. Kill the enemies, loot the chest, or mine the blue crystals to fill your pocket with this currency. It doesn’t carry over between matches, as in each match you start with zero. Learn how to get Vesper and use it during the match.

What is Vesper & How To Use

Vesper is the in‑match currency in Highguard that you can obtain by mining clusters, looting chests, and killing enemies. Use Vesper to buy weapons, armor, equipment, and tools from the in‑match vendor named Trader Flynn. Vesper appears as blue crystal clusters scattered around each map. Swing your axe to mine these crystals and collect Vesper.

The first minutes after the match starts is Gear Up phase, in which you farm Vesper by mining crystals and looting.

Using the currency on Trader allows you to get better weapons, armor upgrades, and tools that significantly boost your combat effectiveness. Spend around 77 Vesper before the mid/late match phases to equip high‑tier items. Mastering efficient Vesper farming and spending is the best way to win raids. Keep in mind that gear and upgrades reset each match, so you have to farm this currency in every match.

Best Locations To Farm Vesper

You need to know the best locations to farm the Vesper during the match in Highguard. Focus on harvesting crystal clusters during the initial gear‑up phase. While mining is best, don’t skip chests because they contain passive Vesper and gear.

Below are the best farming hotspots for Vespers.

Obtain Vesper by Mining Crystals

Mining the blue/teal crystal clusters on the ground with the help of a melee axe allows you to gain Vesper. The basic method is to swing your axe at the blue crystal clusters to break them. Always have your axe equipped when moving between clusters. Crystals have a distinct visual glow and sound cue, so make sure to use that to locate nodes.

They are often found in dense patches in certain map locations, so find them. Hitting nodes with well‑timed swings is smoother and faster than random hits. Proper timing can even charge your axe, letting you destroy the next node. If you’re playing as a team, split farming routes so each teammate gets crystals. Fighting early slows your farming and yields less Vesper than mining clusters, so avoid combat.

Obtain Vesper From Looting Chests

Chests in Highguard are scattered across the map decent amount of Vesper and valuable gear. You can obtain 20-25 Vesper per chest. Chests also frequently contain weapons, giving you both currency and usable items. Chests spawn throughout all maps near outposts, vendor areas, inside buildings, corridors, and the central area of the map. The middle zone has both chests and crystal clusters, rewarding aggressive play. There are typically multiple chest spots on each map, so plan your route accordingly.

Make sure to open chests as you pass through your planned crystal farming path. During the Gear Up phase, opening chests you encounter while collecting Vesper crystals gives both currency and gear. Assign teammates to different chest areas, allowing you to cover more ground. Sometimes chests drop decent weapons or armor, so use that gear and don’t spend Vesper on those items at Trader Flynn.

Kill Enemies To Get Vesper

Killing enemy players does give you Vesper, but it’s generally a small amount. You get more of this currency by mining or looting the chests. Eliminating an enemy in a match allows you to gain 10-15 Vesper. Combat has a higher risk, but killings should be treated as a bonus income. I highly recommend not chasing kills during the Gear Up phase in Highguard.

If you spot enemies already in combat or with low health, finishing them is a good strategy. Treat the Vesper you get from kills as an extra boost, not the priority. If teammates are already engaging in a fight, you can help secure the kill, so your team collects the extra Vesper. Engaging an enemy who could easily kill can be costly for a small amount of Vesper.
